Just wanted to say called this morning & O know there was still space available for August 4 for wishes dessert party. I'm so excited cuz we got a reservation 1st time I called & it's only 2wks away!!! Woooohooo! Good luck

We loved the dessert party and highly recommend it primarily for the intimate setting. I can't tell you how nice it was to sit at a reserved table and watch the fireworks away from the crowds. The desserts were fine - bite size portions so you can sample a few things, but they weren't the main draw for us. There were around 15 different sweets plus fresh fruit and ice cream with sundae toppings, and the food was replenished often.
Almost everyone stood at the railing so I don't know if this blocks the view for those who opt to stay at their table. And from what I remember larger parties were seated near the back. Our party of four had a table in the front next to parties of 2, 3 and 4.
There was a photopass photog there and we took pics during daylight and after sunset.

We had virtually the same experience. We did opt to stay at out table in the front. No one really bothered going in front of us, because my dd had turned her chair around and was sitting there. It was fantastic.

We did move to the railing as we wanted to take pictures and video ..but I'm sure almost anyone sitting would have seen just fine. It's an amazing view :D So thankful we found out about this; it was an awesome celebration for the 4th!

Did the Sundays in Sept. get released yet? I've been trying to book a reservation for Sept. 2 - and have yet to see any availability. I can't imagine it is sold out since I've been checking almost daily. Does anyone know? Thanks.

Oh, no!!! I just read through all the posts and it looks like someone else booked our date right around July 4th. Honestly I've been checking, so I don't see how I could have missed the window, but it looks like it did:sad:.. All I can do is hope someone cancels. :scared:

We were there on the 4th as well. I think we were table no. 4, as the hostess was counting off when she walked us to our table. I completely agree that it was money well spent, especially on such a crowded and long day! Loved the personalized centerpieces. But the best part was being told by the hostess that we could sit there for as long as we wanted, even after last call. We stayed to watch the electrical parade and Magic, Memories and You. I would absolutely recommend the dessert party.

Did you have good viewing for the Electrical parade and Magic, Memories and you from there? I would love to do this! Can you leave for a short time and come back in if you want to? Thanks!

I just checked and there is availability for that date. You need to make sure you don't leave the time at 7:00 pm. Instead, put in 9:00 pm and something should come up. Another problem could be the number of people. For very large groups, it's best to break them up into 2 smaller groups. Good luck! :thumbsup2.

It still shows up for me at not avail??? I tried all the times. Searching for party of 2 on Sept. 2 (Sunday) - are you sure it shows up for you? Am I doing something wrong. I've booked lots of ADRs before????

Ok very bizarre - I kept entering different times and # in party and it let me book for a party of 3 at 9:15??? I added an infant - no charge, which is allowable. I just dont get it since I have been checking for months for a party of 2 for "any" time. I guess you really need to add a time in there. Anyhow - thank you G'sMaman - I was starting to panick, since we love the wishes dessert party - since it's so nice to sit and watch the fireworks. I wonder if this means we will get a table for four in the back???:confused3

Hey - is this the place to go to find out when October 2012 dates open? Or do you have a separate thread for October?

Thanks! We have never done the wishes dessert party so we're super excited to try something new! :scratchin

This is the place! Someone will post when they've made their reservation. I'm also waiting for October to open. I'll probably start checking online a couple of times a day in a couple more weeks. :cool1:

You can see just the tops of the floats from the party, but can't see the parade well. I would not count the view from the party as "seeing" it, if the parade is important to you. We save it for another night.

We thought the view of Magic, Memories, and You was fine. However, that night was the only time we watched it, so I can't compare it to seeing it from right in front of the castle.

They give you wristbands to wear when you check in for the party, so you can leave for a bit, for instance to visit the restroom. I wouldn't go too long, though.

Thanks! I hope to do the Wishes Party next Feb. This thread is very informative... better than the CM.. but don't tell 'em I said that! (cheeky grin) :thumbsup2

Speaking of the electrical parade, has anyone managed to see it from any location AND make it to the dessert party? Are they far from each other? (Newbie here...:confused3)

I mean, when it comes down to it the dessert with a decent place to see the fireworks is the most important part, but....

I haven't done it yet, but I have read (possibly in this thread) that you could do it if you watch the parade near the entrance to the party, and watching the parade near the entrance is possible but someone else will have to comment on if it is recommended, since I won't be attending my first party until November.
