They do pipe in the sound for Hallowishes as well. Great way to get a little piece of the party without going! :thumbsup2

Thank you much! I am so ridiculously excited!

Thank you very much Maiapapaya and Guitarob! Any others?

I totally agree with the other suggestions. I also would add enjoying a Dole Whip or a Lapu Lapu by the pool (or both, although not at the same time )

Also, CCs has a great Aloha Pork Sandwich that is a can't miss for my family.

Oh, and a cup of Kona coffee in the morning and a Sushi roll in the evening from Kona Island.

Hmmmm, all of mine are food/drink related. Maybe it's cause I skipped lunch.

Just realized I can't forget to mention O'hana! Breakfast and dinner are both a huge hit for us. And Tonga toast from CC's or Kona. I personally hate it, but it gets rave reviews.

I thought I was the only one in the world who hates Tonga Toast .... :rotfl2:

I just saw Tikiman's post that CL is closed Jan-March 2013 - supposedly for the Hawaii longhouse refurb - can anyone confirm if that is the reason? Just curious. Sorry if its been discussed at length on here that I missed it. I was planning a girls trip for January & of course Poly CL came up in the "where-are-we-staying" discussion!

Just tried to price CL during this time period and it wasn't even listed as an option.

First - I am sorry about your trip! But on the other hand, I am pretty excited that we will have almost new rooms for our April/May trip. We booked the Poly club yesterday!

Oh don't be sorry - we change our minds a few times a day as to where we're staying (its hard to get a bunch of DIS ladies to agree LOL!). There's always next time!

Lucky you staying there next spring, can't wait to see your pics when you return!

Hey... I know you......:rotfl2:

:)

pixarmom It's so nice to see you posting over here!

Thanks, Dani! Good to see you too! And I always need to brush up on Poly tips before a stay!

:thumbsup2

Nice to see you again - we chatted a lot on the BC/YC thread!

Hi Tara!! We love the Epcot resorts, but I can't give up Poly entirely. I think we've decided that split stays are best for us!

Oh no!!!! Our January trip is the perfect time for Poly CL and we were so excited about it! Boo!

Keep talking . . . I'm trying to convince my husband and our oldest son that we should stick with Poly even if CL is closed!

OK, with no CL available in January, my husband asked about GF and our oldest son is wavering. Please help me save Poly for January! I was thinking Tambu Lounge would be a good pre-dinner spot for drinks and some appetizers. Do they still serve appetizers there? I know allears has a menu, but it's from 2009. Do the Tambu lounge and the sushi bar still open at 5pm? And then breakfast - I'm trying to think of TS breakfast locations without characters. There's Kona, but maybe we try the Grand Floridian Cafe too? How about the Wave at CR? Anyone been to either for breakfast? If I can substitute quiet, convenient breakfast options and a place for pre-dinner appetizers, I think it will work!

One of us is following the other one around! I'll be there in Oct 2012 and also Jan 2013. What are your dates? You should get them added to the RC thread. Jungle Cruiser is doing a wonderful job of keeping track of all of us! :rotfl2:

Tikiman posted on his FB page that the Hawaii building will be getting the new rooms and new door system and that is the reason it is not available for bookings in January or February 2013

Oh, how could I forget ... a pinacoLAVA is my favourite Poly bevvie :thumbsup2
And yes, a dolewhip (I personally prefer the pineapple-vanilla twist. It's not as sweet as the straight pineapple).

Breakfast & dinner at 'Ohana and breakfast at Kona ... the macadamia pineapple pancakes are to die for! :cloud9:

I too am a tonga toast hater! :crazy2:

I'm part of the Tonga toast/Dolewhip not a fan club!

Thankfully there is no rule against Tonga toast haters here on the Poly thread or I would be booted:rolleyes1

I could live off the food in captain cooks and the punch and desserts in the CL lounge and be a very happy guest :goodvibes

STOP with all the Tonga Toast hate on the last 2 pages!!!!! :lmao:

I have never had the Tonga Toast but I'm always suspicious of things everyone loves. I'm planning on trying it next year so I will weigh in then.

I should note that I think the Lapu Lapu, although it looks beautiful, tastes like jet fuel.

Had to jump in here.......I am a PROUD member of the tonga toast lovers club  I just can't understand the disdain displayed here for such a delectable creation of sourdough bread stuffed with bananas, fried, and rolled in cinnamon and sugar with the perfect side dish of plump juicy sausages to satisfy the sweet and savory cravings of the palate and a large cup of Kona coffee to awaken your mind to the magical surroundings. It is the perfect beginning to the Poly day.

When the tummy beckons for more sustenance after a long morning at MK, it is time for an Aloha pork sandwich and chips which will put you in the mood for some relaxing time in the sun. After much time spent dressing the family in bathing suits, slathering everyone in sunblock, gathering all the accessories and musthaves into your beach bag, scoping out the perfect table or chaise to make your home base, playing with the kids in the pool,.......it is now time to summon your DH to fetch you the beloved Pina Colava. Once in hand, you must retreat to the beach. find your favorite chair, swing or hammock, and take in paradise. The sights of the castle over the lagoon, the faint sounds of children laughing and playing, the ferry boat horns, the MK train whistles, the sun glistening off the water and the gentle breeze blowing through your hair......:beach:

Oh how I miss the Poly!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, now I really can't wait for my trip! Only 2 more weeks to go!!!!:cool1::cool1:

Anyone have a recent one for the Polynesian from June or July? I see the one on the first page of the thread but was wondering if that stays pretty consistent or changes? We are going next month.
