This is your 24th Anniversary? But you're so young!~A 5/12 TR!*PTR link pg 49, 9/14!*

Joining in !!! I feel bad for Brando . My step son had a torn labrum and he had the surgery and it really is painful and tough to deal with, so baby him some. Hope he is on the mend soon.

And I get migraines, too, so I understand about the off-site foray.

Loving your TR !!!

My first view of Wishes was from CG and it was so magical...think I had tears in my eyes lol! I understand about wanting it all to yourself though

I think the PP pic looks great and your hair doesn't look bad at all...if my hair still looked that after humidity I'd be well chuffed!!

Yay on meeting Alicia, Alex and her mum!!! How amazing to bump into each other without planning a meet! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear the flower krispy treat and a trip to the confectionery cheered you up! :)

Great update! What a cliffhanger! I love the aturkey leg rice krispy treat!

it sounds like you had a rought night! I have times like that in the parks--- times where I am just "done" and not having fun anymore. I need to learn to recognize them earlier, though, so I don't have a meltdown!

I have always wanted to do wishes from the CA Grill (haven't actually ever seen wishes, though). Anyway, I won't get my hopes up too high for the "amazing" view. I guess Samantha Brown is a liar, LOL!

I forgot to add something. My DS is totally afraid of butterflies. We have a local butterfly house at our aquarium and he refuses to go inside. He always waits outside. The first and only time he went in there a butterfly came near him and he started flailing around like something was after him. It made me laugh to read it in your report.

Needless to say when I told him that you are also afraid of butterflies, he didn't laugh, but I did and he didn't think it was very funny. LOL!!

Haha, that's what happened to me on our Disneymoon when I was brave and went in the butterfly house...as soon as I walked in, one flew right at me and I ran out of there screaming! They are terrifying! :scared:

Hahahah yeah, that's pretty much the reason. I LOVE dreams like that but then I hate them too! Because you wake up and you're like oh... this is my house. Okay. I'm planning to take a million pictures and I'm VERY excited about it!!!!

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES! :flower3:

Yeah, it was really sad to wake up from that dream! :( Now I want to stay at the CR even more! IF they ever release GP room discounts for the Fall, I'm going to see how much a split stay would be...probably way too much for me, but I'm going to try anyway! :cool1:

Yay!!!! :jumping1:

Welcome, thanks for joining! pixiedust:

Awww, thank you! Brandon is actually doing really well, he's healing a lot faster than expected, so that's good! I have been babying him a bit, though! :)

Ugh, migraines are the worst! Have you ever tried feverfew to get rid of them? I heard about it on Dr. Oz last week, so I'm going to get some and see if that helps! :thumbsup2

Thank you! :thumbsup2

It was nice watching Wishes from the CR, but I'd prefer to be IN the park next time! In fact, I have to see if I can bump up my ADR at Cali Grill in November to make sure we have enough time to make it into MK for Wishes! I get tears in my eyes every time I watch Wishes, it's amazing!

Thank you! Ugh, I think my hair looks so awful in that picture! If you saw it before, then you'd see how bad it looks, it was so nice and straight, and then it poofed up! :crazy2:

It was awesome meeting Alicia, it's so funny to walk out of Pirates and see someone you know! :rotfl:

Yay, rice krispy treats always cheer me up!

Great update! What a cliffhanger! I love the aturkey leg rice krispy treat!

Isn't the turkey leg rice krispy treat adorable? Have you seen the new car air fresheners they just came out with in Disney? One is a turkey leg! I'm totally getting it in November!

It was a nice night, I just got really tired really quickly, and I couldn't keep going, as much as I wanted to! And I was bummed about the Peoplemover, I feel like if that was going, maybe that would have given me my second wind, but since it was down, I was ready to go to bed! :rotfl:

Well, it's kind of cool watching Wishes from the CR, but it's just at a strange angle! I like to see the fireworks over the castle, and when you watch from the CR, it's like they are over Space Mountain! It's fun, but not something I'd do every time! :)

Glad Brandon is doing better. Havent heard of Feverfew for migraines, let us know if it works!! Still cant find the Youk article it was soo good, ha! Boston.com probably removed it cause it favored Youk

The One with the Nice Morning...

Monday, May 7

Hi everyone! So I know I said this update would be when I told you about my near death experience (which may be a bit dramatic, but still, it was pretty scary!), but there's just no way I can get to that part in this update! So you will have to wait til the next, sorry! :p :rotfl: I hope you enjoy reading about our nice morning leading up to the awful afternoon, though, because it was one of my favorite parts of the trip!

I woke up at 8, and was ready to go to Epcot! I jumped out of bed, went outside to check the weather

P1020223.jpg

Beautiful! Can you ever get tired of that view? And those blue skies? :cool1:

I tried to wake Brandon, but as usual, I got his "it's vacation, I want to sleep" response, so I just calmly replied "ok, I'm going to go to Epcot, when you get up, call me and I'll come find you" and proceeded to get my things together. I was almost ready to walk out the door, when he got up and decided to come with me last minute. I was happy he was coming with me after all, but since I had to wait for him, we got to Epcot a little later than I wanted, at about 9:30. :confused3

We looked at a few of the topiaries along the way to Future World, and took advantage of an empty World Showcase to take some pictures! I tried to get decent pics of the Pooh topiaries the first day, but there were so many people there, it was hard!

P1020226.jpg

P1020227.jpg

I love this little seating area in England, it's so adorable! And you never see it empty like this!

P1020234.jpg

Ok, as nice as the empty World Showcase was, I had to get to Future World, I was already behind schedule! I wanted to get to Soarin', grab some FP's for later, and then hop in the hopefully not too long standby line.

We made it to Future World, and had to stop for a second to check out this duck:

P1020237.jpg

Isn't that so cute how she's sleeping on top of the bushes? I don't know why Disney ducks are so extra adorable, probably from breathing in all that pixie dust all day! pixiedust:

We finally made it to the Land and hiked up the mile long hill to get go inside and get to Soarin'! The standby line was only 20 minutes, so we grabbed some FP's (which had a return time of 1:20 at 9:45 in the morning! :scared:) and hopped in line! Before we did though, I thought Caitlin's Flat Stanely might like to come along for the ride, so we took a quick picture of her getting in line with us:

P1020244.jpg

Soarin' was amazing as always, I'm always going to love that ride so much, it never gets old! I just wish I could sit in the front and center every time, I hate seeing people's feet dangling in front of me!

When we left The Land and went back outside, I noticed how hot it was already! Ugh, I don't like the heat, and I thought May was going to be a little mild, but it was SO hot, so early in the morning, it was almost unbearable! I didn't feel like walking very far in that heat, so we decided to visit The Seas with Nemo!

On the way over, we stopped to look for baby ducklings, and I took a picture of the beautiful monorail:

P1020247.jpg

I love the monorail, I love that it just loops around Future World and you can see it going by all the time!

There was only a 5 minute wait for The Seas, so we decided it might be another ride Flat Stanley (I hate calling her that, because she's a girl! I wish she had a girl's name!) might enjoy, so we took her picture out front like parents do with their non-flat children

P1020252.jpg

and went inside!

I love the queue to The Seas, I love feeling like you're underwater, it's so pretty in there, but it seems like such a long walk! And it seems like you're just looping around poles forever, you almost wonder if you are ever getting to the ride!

We did make it to the ride, just in case you were wondering if maybe we gave up, we didn't! :p We hopped in our clam, and got ready for our adventure under the sea. Brandon crossed his arms, and one of the CM's saw him, and crossed his arms too and got a very serious look on his face...so Brandon saw him and said "I take my riding very seriously" and this CM cracked up! :rotfl: He just started going on and on about how funny that was and repeating it over and over! It was such a cute moment, I love CM's with a sense of humor! :thumbsup2

P1020258.jpg

Jellyfish!

Our ride with Nemo and Friends was fun and relaxing, as always, and when we got off, we went to look at the manatees and dolphins.

P1020267.jpg

The dolphins were being SO sweet, they would come right up to the glass and stare at you, it seemed like they wanted to communicate with people! They would just swim by and spin around and stop by the glass every once in a while, they are just the cutest! If I could take a dolphin home and put it in my yard, I would. And a manatee, they're adorable too! :lovestruc

When we were finished visiting with our ocean friends, I wanted to go to the entrance to look at the Fantasia topiaries. It was hot and I was starting to get a bit miserable, but I insisted, which later I realize is where the afternoon started to go south. Brandon didn't want to, he just wanted to go back to the World Showcase to eat, but I really insisted on seeing these topiaries.

We took our time walking over there, because it was SO hot, and when we got there, I kind of lost interest because of the heat, and all I wanted to do was find some air conditioning. Still, I figured I was there, I might as well get a few pictures right?

P1020270.jpg

P1020272.jpg

P1020273.jpg

It was nice seeing them, because I really love Fantasia, and they were done beautifully, but I should have waited til another day to see them.

We were getting really hot on our way over to the World Showcase, so we stopped in front of the fountain for a few minutes, and hoped we would catch some of the mist to cool off a little!

P1020276.jpg

It worked, and after standing there for a little while, we felt refreshed and ready to walk over to the World Showcase to find some lunch! We skipped breakfast and we were starving! :crazy2:

Up next...the World Showcase and the heat catches up with me.

Love the Flat Stanley pictures, such a fun idea!
Uh-oh, I sense some foreshadowing with your insisting to carry on! What's gonna happen?

Ugh, migraines are the worst! Have you ever tried feverfew to get rid of them? I heard about it on Dr. Oz last week, so I'm going to get some and see if that helps! :thumbsup2

I don't want to discourage you from trying that, but no, it didn't work for me. I used to get over 10 a month, but now I get about 4-7 a month. I also see a neurologist and take Rx (Relpax) for the headaches. I used to be on a daily preventative (Topomax) but I stopped taking it a couple of years ago because the side effects were just too much for me and my insurance wanted me to switch to a generic that had a filler in the pills that made me itch out of my skin.

My quality of life is better now, but I feel your pain on the migraines. They stink.

OMG your view. That is just too perfect. What kind of room was this one? Water view? I don't remember! But whatever it is, I'm gonna need to stay in that exact room whenever I stay there hahah.

Those Winnie the Pooh topiaries are just too precious, but it looks like my Piglet is covered in bees! :confused3

"so we took her picture out front like parents do with their non-flat children" :lmao: That struck me as hilarious! HAHAHA.

Don't die.

ooooh.... now I am excited to walk to Epcot in October! :)

WDW was so HOT in May! I was always sweating to death, and whining about it!

Not a bad little morning, minus the heat. I'm afraid of what happens next, though!

Thanks, it was fun to take her around and have her get in some pictures! :rotfl:

Haha, well, I think I just overdid it with the heat that day, and I definitely should have just stopped and taken a rest instead of insisting to walk to the front! You don't think it's that long of a walk from the Seas to the front of Epcot, but it IS! :rotfl2:

maybe flat Stanla? LOL

I am worried what happens next.

Haha, I was just going to give her some random girl's name, but I couldn't think of anything! :confused3

It's ok, everything ended up fine, I just thought I might die for an hour or two while we were in Epcot! I do tend to be a bit dramatic though, so maybe you'll read it and go "big deal!" :rotfl:

Wow, 10 migraines a month? I get maybe one a month, maybe 2 or 3 in the summer, since the heat seems to be a huge trigger for me! I'm going to try the feverfew, because I just don't want to have to go to a neurologist and go through all of these tests, I'd rather try something natural before having to resort to prescription meds. :confused3 If that doesn't work though, I'm going to consider asking my doctor what to do. I hate that on every Disney trip, I have at least one migraine that ruins an entire day. I look forward to these trips for months, and losing a day to a migraine sucks! I'm glad you found something that works for you! :thumbsup2

Isn't that view amazing?? pixiedust: I think we had a garden view room, but when we switched rooms, we got upgraded to water view I believe...we didn't ask, they just put us there! That's the 2nd time I've had a water view room at the BC now, and I don't think I can ever stay in a standard view, I've gotten too spoiled! :rotfl:

Aww, it does look like Piglet is covered in bees, I never noticed that!

Haha, well someday I hope to have a non-flat child of my own to stick in front of various Disney signs and things and take pictures of, but for now, the flat one was good practice!

Thanks, I didn't! :goodvibes Almost, though! :scared:

ooooh.... now I am excited to walk to Epcot in October! :)

WDW was so HOT in May! I was always sweating to death, and whining about it!

You're going to love walking to Epcot! I just hope it's not too hot for you, when we went last year in October, there were days when it was sweltering! That was early in the month though, and I think it was unseasonably warm! All of my trips lately have been unseasonably warm and rainy! :rotfl2:

Not a bad little morning, minus the heat. I'm afraid of what happens next, though!

It was a nice morning, until the heat started to get to me! I just don't handle heat well, no matter how hard I try! :furious:

Flat Stanley? She needs a new name. Maybe flat Samantha (like Samantha Brown) or flat Cinderella.

What a beautiful morning. And your pictures are lovely too. I really love that monorail pic.

I'm so glad Brandon decided to get up and go into the park with you.

I'm curious as I how your afternoon went so terribly wrong.

That view looks LOVELY!!!!!!

this spring/summer has been weird and HOT!!!! I hate walking around in the extreme heat :(

I'm nervous about what come next??? :(

Maybe call her Flat Sally?

I know I'm really late to the party, but I'm subbing in.

I really thought May would be pretty mild too in terms of the weather. I mean, I figured it'd be much warmer than April but not to the point that doing things was unbearable! People say that we should celebrate our anniversary in Disney, but we're going to have to do it earlier because May is NOT the month for me!

HAHA, I just had to laugh at the "... so we took her picture out front like parents do with their non-flat children". And I also love the "take my riding very seriously" comment too.

Your view was gorgeous!!!!

Ugh, the Nemo queue really does go on FOREVER. I mean, it is awesome, but it could take a slightly more direct route!!

This May must have been warmer than it was 3 years prior. The only time I felt like I was too warm for comfort was at AK that year... The rest of the time the weather was pretty nice!! Our Anniversary is May 1 though so we were there a few days prior and then the 1st week of May...

I'm sorry the heat is getting to you this trip! That is the reason I don't think I could EVER go for my birthday!!

What a great view at the BC. Gotta love that blue sky with the white clouds. Aww I wish I was there now. :(

Ugh, sorry it was so hot. I remember back in '08 when we went in May it generally wasn't too bad but there was one day where we were at Epcot and walked over to the Dolphin to pick up our rental car (to go to Sea World!). I remember being so hot walking on the Boardwalk.

Love that the CM had some fun with Brandon. haha!
