Title says it:) Never been to SWO so I didn't know if there are any "prime" spots for this show. TIA!

Ok. So Shamu rocks is in the stadium right? So we'll just stay there for reflections too.

No, the stadium that you'll want to get to is called "Bayside Stadium" it's located right near Shamu Stadium where Shamu Rocks will be performed. The Bayside stadium offers the best seating because the fireworks are blown off literally right in front of you. It's a pretty awesome experience that combines both fireworks and fountains. You will not be able to view the fireworks from Shamu Stadium because the stadium closes right after the last Shamu show and you can't really see the fireworks from Shamu stadium anyway.

Gotcha! Thanks KBF! I didn't realize there were 2 different stadiums. Good to know!

Actually there are 4 I think....Shamu, Bayside, Whale and Dolphin, and Clyde and Seamore all have shows and you sit in stadiums that are partially covered.
There are also 2 indoor air conditioned theaters for shows, too.

If you want to avoid the crowd of people leaving the stadium after the show, my guide told me her favorite spot is a small set of stairs right between the Spice Mill Cafe and the Pearl Diving station. We never stuck around to watch the show, but she was VERY knowledgeable and this is where I would have tried to watch from.

There are plenty of good spots along the waterfront area, a few benches and we even found a few chairs. However, if you want a good view of the entertainment (dancers, etc.) before the fireworks show, sit in the stadium. I didn't know about the pre-show or I would have sat in the stadium. Not to sound negative, I LOVE Seaworld, but I was really disappointed with the fireworks show. Anyone else? It really should have been called the fountain show because there were more fountains than fireworks. And other than 1-2 great bursts, most of the fireworks looked like duds. The entire fountain/fireworks part of the show was less than 10 minutes long and my exhausted kids and husband were not happy that I made them wait around until 9:50 pm to watch it!! It was a beautiful night to be out so I'm still glad I saw it but would never wait for it again.

You may have been on a night when there were technical difficulties. The fireworks show is usually the full 10 minutes long and there are a lot of cool effects. There might have been an issue that night. It might be worth a try to watch them again. Did anyone else on here that saw the fireworks feel the same way?

So it really only lasts 10 min?? Is it worth staying for?

I think it's a little over 10 minutes. I think it's worth it. I enjoy it. Others may have a different opinion, but I've always had a soft spot for fireworks shows no matter the length of time of the show.

Well, my kids will be about ready to keel over at that time, so they prob. wouldn't last through anything longer. I love fireworks too, so we are going to give it a shot. We are planning on doing an aftrernoon/evening and doing just shows and Relections and returning another early morning for exhibits and rides.
