AGLET – We're Gonna Tour The World Together! Updated 11/9!!!

Yummy!! It looks like you guys had a very good breakfast!! DH and I will have to try it out sometime!!

I hope you had a great 4th :)

We have had Boma dinner, but not breakfast. Your choices look scrumptious. :thumbsup2

I am a water drinker pretty much all the time, so any kind of juice tastes way too sweet for me, but most people seem to love those WDW juices.

Yum, I love Boma breakfast! :dance3: Those goat cheese scrambled eggs are amazing! I always order and omelet there and forget about the scrambled eggs, then I feel gross eating both! :rotfl: Next time I'll skip the omelet!

Haha, that is strange that you went to AKL and then back to the MK, but whatever, sometimes weird plans like that work! :thumbsup2 We usually do Boma before our AK day, but I wouldn't mind doing it before a different park, as long as I wasn't trying to make it to rope drop!

I'm so far behind! In penance, I just read through thirty pages of your TR. And I'm finally caught up!

1. Congrats on the engagement! What a beautiful ring, I've never seen one quite like that. Good luck with the planning.

2. I love the Figment shirt you wore on your Epcot day. So adorable. So was your niece's card, what a great idea for a birthday present!

3. La Cava reminds me of Trader Sam's in Disneyland. Impossibly small, lots of great drinks, and a really awesome atmosphere. Except Trader Sam's is a continuation of Jungle Cruise and La Cava is in Mexico.. but we'll have to check out La Cava since we enjoyed Trader Sam's so much.

4. I understand why people are so divided on Toy Story; it's not really a traditional ride and if you aren't super into video game competitions, it does fall flat! There's no real story and the 'midway games' theme is kind of weak (especially compared to Tower of Terror). We really liked it in Disneyland (short line, lots of other things to do in California Adventure so that wasn't the whole reason to visit the park).

5. Yay Brave!!

6. I love reading your restaurant reviews; Artist Point has been on our list for ages because Bear loves buffalo meat and your review only made me more excited. Such a great atmosphere in WL>

The breakfast there really is awesome!! You guys should definitely give it a try!!

I'm always drinking water, even orange juice is pretty rare for me (outside of Disney!) I've always thought that Frunch juice was SUPER sweet!

Oh, I never waste my time with an omelet there!! :lmao: Too many other great items to try!!!

It was weird, but it worked for us! :thumbsup2

Thank you!!!

I love my Figment shirt - it is one of my favorite Disney ones!

From what I've seen through pictures, I'd love something like Trader Sam's in Disney World! It looks awesome! La Cava is great, definitely small, but really nicely themed with REALLY good drinks! :thumbsup2

I'm really not into the video game competition games, so I can see why TSM was lacking for me. But I thought DF would be more into it!

I still haven't seen Brave!!! I really have to!!

Yay!!! I hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did!!

Yummy boma breakfast! We ate there for the first time the morning after we got engaged, so it has happy memories for us! :goodvibes I would love to get back, because it is just so yummy, but it always seems so far away, especially early in the morning, maybe someday!

Despite our roundabout route that morning of traveling from the Poly to AKL and back, we still made it to the MK in plenty of time for rope drop! I enjoy watching the opening show, so we milled around the front of the entrance, rather than queuing up at the tunnels.

(Why yes, I did take a billion pictures of rope drop. And you're about to see them all. You're welcome.)

Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Seriously, how can you watch this and NOT be happy?

I missed the actual fireworks part.

HAVE A MAGICAL DAY!!!!

After the welcome show ended, we waited for a few moments for the crowds in the tunnels to filter onto Main Street, and then made our way into the Magic Kingdom!

We made our usual path from Adventureland around to Tomorrowland, visiting all of our favorite attractions along the way.

Passing through Frontierland:

And Fantasyland:

I love this fountain. Luckily for once it wasn't too crowded around it, so I was able to take a few pictures.

Since we had skipped Buzz last time due to lines, we made sure to go this time around. DF, of course, won.

The Monster's Inc Laugh Floor is beyond a must-do for us at this point. We always think it's hilarious.

At this point, I still wasn't exactly hungry, having just eaten at Boma a few hours prior. But I knew that this was probably the last time we'd be at the MK this trip, and there was a snack that I had never tried before and NEEDED to have this time around.

We made our way back around to Adventureland (any guesses yet?), and visited the shops there for the first time ever. We thought they were really cool, the theme there was fun, and they had some really unique items.

But I will admit, I was rushing a bit through the shopping in order to get to the snack that I had heard SO much about...

The one. The only. THE DOLE WHIP.

When we were ordering, I wasn't sure whether to start with the basic Dole Whip, or try my hand at the Dole Whip Float. And what flavors to choose? I decided to start with the most simple and classic-seeming combo I could, the vanilla and pineapple swirl.

Wingnut and I found a nearby bench to sit and share our treat.

This was one of the few items we had had on our trip that we were completely split on. I loved it, I thought both flavors were great, and enjoyed the cool, refreshing treat. However, Wingnut said after the first two bites that it was "not his cup of tea," and "the wrong flavors for me." He was more than happy to let me have his half of the Dole Whip, and I was more than happy to accept it. :thumbsup2

At this point, we decided to shop our way out of the Magic Kingdom (STILL looking for that Beaker hat!!).

We made our way through the shops on the right side of the street (left side if you're facing the castle), and then somehow found ourselves in the confectionery :rolleyes1

We decided not to get anything there, and I was about to go into the next shop I saw on the left, when Wingnut pointed to the shop to the right.

"What's that one there?"

Of course, my brilliant now-fiance had found Le Chapeau. The hat store. Hope began to rise as I walked quickly into the store and scanned the shelves.

And there, near the bottom of the wall of hats, did I find my Beaker hat!!!!!!!! There were two of them left, and I grabbed one in glee, practically dancing to the cashier. We told her how we'd been searching high and low for them all week, and she said that they are a very popular item. The other customers in the store just looked confused as to why I was clutching a Muppets hat like I had just won an Oscar. After we bought the hat, we monorailed back to the Polynesian to get ready for our last signature dinner of the trip. (And also to take pictures of my new hat!)

Blurry, but you get the idea.

Our towel Mickey thought my new hat was awesome too.

Oh, to be in Adventureland again this morning!!! I left WDW on Thursday, and it is now Sunday. You would think I could have lasted at least a week before I started being silly again, but I would gladly jump into your pictures and be ready to walk through a Magic Kingdom tunnel this morning. :cool1:

So glad you found your hat! :woohoo:

Wo-Hoo!! You found the Beeker Hat!! You must have truly been on :cloud9:

I SOOOO Want to see the Opening Show at MK but I'm not sure we will make it  I may sneak over to see it one morning while I let hubby sleep in lol.

I am truly impressed by you ability to make it from AKL to MK for rope drop.

I don't think you CAN watch the opening show and not be happy.

Love Buzz; never done Monsters Inc, but Mark and Max have and I know that Max loves it.

I'm glad you enjoyed your Dole Whip, but you were aware of the Dole Whip dispenser right at Captain Cooks, right? I would've gone for the float, personally.

Yay for finding your Beaker Hat!!

Holy cow, you did a lot and still made rope drop! I can't even get myself outta bed to make RD let alone travel to another resort and back for breakfast. :worship:

So glad you found the hat you were looking for!! :)

Yay! You found your hat!!!

I'm glad that you enjoyed your Dole Whip! I'm afraid I'd be with Wingnut, so I've never tried it. I still feel like I should at least try it though.

Love Monsters Inc! It's totally a must do for us.

Can't wait to hear about the next signature!

Sounds like a fun morning! The Laugh Floor is always hilarious.

Glad you liked the dope whip! I can't wait to try one!

AHHHHHHHH THE HAT!!!! That's so exciting!!! :cool1:

I am pretty impressed that you made it to Boma for breakfast and then to rope drop at MK. Way to go! Great pics of the opening ceremony and the castle!

:cool1: Woo Hoo for finding the beaker hat - it really is cute. I hope it has gotten lots of wear. You're still young enough to get away with wearing something like that, so go for it. :thumbsup2

I do love the dole whip, but I've only ever had the float once. The last time I got the dole whip was one evening when I was visiting the Poly. It totally hit the spot!

I totally enjoyed reading your trip report! I stayed up late~ you had me mesmerized:bitelip:

You have quite a way with words! Now I'm going to have to read your others:)..you offer lots of ideas for our upcoming trip!

Just wanted to pop in and say that I've been lurking your posts for years now, and I am SO EXCITED that you're getting married! I think you might be one of the cutest couples I've ever read about - so a HUGE congratulations to you both!!! :goodvibes

I love, love, love the MK opening show. I saw it twice and I was like a little kid both times; I kept on tearing up and waving at everyone. I love it!

I am very impressed you made it for breakfast at Boma and then to MK in plenty of time for rope drop! Good job on that :thumbsup2

You found the hat!! Ahhhh! I am so excited you got it, it's so cute!

I am so happy you found your Beaker hat. I was fully prepared to buy owned for you on our last trip and send it to you. I love how you are calling Wing nut your DF now. Yay !! I just love the Dole Whip, but understand that it isn't for everyone. I was that way about Zebra Domes. I wanted so badly to love them, but I was just "meh" about them.
