Give Me a Title for Magical Express
I asked Howard to provide a title for this next installment, and he just YouTubed Magic School Bus, haha. So instead of sitting here trying to figure out what to title this, that'll be it! Haha, and now as he sits there as I type this, he keeps whispering, "I'm sorry ... I'm sorry." Silly guy.
When we finished eating our Chik-Fil-A lunch, it was time to head to Magical Express! Of course, that meant hopping back on the moving sidewalk. We passed by Build-A-Bear, and if we weren't on the sidewalk, I would've had the urge to peek in there. I'm just a big kid really. I love that store! I have a bear from there that Howard got for me for Christmas, and I have 3 Disney Duffy costumes to dress him up (along with other costumes from BAB).
I was a little nervous about getting lost in the airport. It's not that we wouldn't have been able to find our way EVENTUALLY, but I was determined not to get lost at all! I actually knew from one of MeMom's past TRs that she reminded Brooklynn that they'd always go on side B because of her name. That definitely stuck with me! Plus, we looked at the little map in the ME booklet earlier to find out where the food court was, so we were pretty sure about where to go.
We went one floor down and decided to use the restroom first. We took turns because we didn't want to bring all our luggage and such inside. It's pretty interesting how business people have to travel with all their stuff because they can't just leave things everywhere. I like that they had a bar to hang garment bags too. While Howard was waiting for me, he took two pictures of our little luggage (the carry-on; the regular size one looks exactly the same, just bigger) and my new tote. AND our Chik-Fil-A bag! Haha.
I like the one above, and Howard likes the one below. I couldn't decide which to post, so I just included both!
It was nice and empty in that baggage claim area so we didn't have to feel the rushing of tons of people around us.
We took the escalator one more floor down and immediately saw the sign for Magical Express! Of course, seeing that this was our first time in the airport (the one time I flew down with family, we went to like, Tampa or something and rented a car), I just HAD to take a picture next to it!
I had thought that it might be crowded because sometimes people wait a long time on lines, but there was like, no one there! I'm sure it was a bit more crowded than this right after we landed since a lot of people on our plane were surely headed to Disney. It was nice that we took the time to stop and eat so that we had an easy time here too. It was also where we had our first sighting of a CM with the Mickey gloves on!
So cute that they put the little circle stickers on the floor to make Mickey heads! Honestly though, I would've thought they'd use actual stickers or something so that the ears would be proportionate. Haha, I'm just being a stickler about the stickers.
ON OUR WAY!
The lady at the little podium was like, "Thanks! I was getting hungry" in reference to my Chik-Fil-A leftovers. Haha, she was adorable, and it definitely put a smile on our faces to encounter so many nice people already! We were directed to line 2.
Why? Because we were staying at ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE! My dear DIS friend, Joanna (not_Joanna_eggs), helped us out so much in selling us some of her DVC points! If we didn't do it that way, there would've been absolutely NO way that we could've stayed at AKL. It wouldn't have been practical at all due to the cost, but Joanna and her husband Chris definitely made our honeymoon extra magical!

We were led onto a bus right away where people were already waiting, so I knew that that meant we'd be departing soon and we wouldn't have to hang around. I made this excited face that Howard captured on his camera, and he pointed out that the little girl sitting in the seat directly in front of me had JUST made the same exact expression! I couldn't help it! We were on our way! Together! And alone! And we got a good bus! I know that there are people who don't like certain buses, and I couldn't remember what they were until later on (the Mears buses?). Yay for getting a REAL ME bus!

Video: Getting Ready to Go on the Magical Express
I look at this picture and don't think at all that we look like we're old enough to be husband and wife. Haha. I'll be happy years down the road when we still look younger than we really are (just like Joni and John!).
There was a Disney Cruise Line bus next to ours. I hope that one day we'll do a cruise even if it's not one that goes to Castaway Cay. I mean, Lou Mongello and Jim Korkis told us that we should! Yes, I'm going to bring that up AGAIN because that was seriously one of the BEST moments in Disney ever! And yes, I'm going to link that update from our 2010 trip here so that those of you who didn't read it can read it now, haha. Anyway, the cruise that interests us is actually the Alaska one even though that means a much longer plane ride ...
Our bus driver's name was Waldemar. I wonder what it's like to drive the ME buses TO the resorts! You get to see pretty much everyone in a happy mood!
Video: Waldemar's Spiel (This is just Waldemar telling us the travel time and the order of the resorts; I was just camera happy apparently!)
I had a blast getting to watch the video! From what I remember, Howard closed his eyes for a bit, but I was just so eager to watch what everyone else has gotten to watch millions of times before! It didn't feel like a long ride at all because of the video. Pretty soon we were driving under these arches!
Video: Officially on Property
One of the stops was Pop Century. It was the first time I got to see it in real life.
When we were driving off that property, I saw and pointed out the teeny-tiny stop sign on the thingie that goes up and down (um, since I got married, I have been unable to remember simple words so instead of sitting here trying to figure out a better word for that thing, I'm just going to move on!). It was so cute! It was miniature!!!
I was still very camera happy so that's why I took a picture of us in the mirror too!
We drove by Art of Animation and gosh darn it, I want to stay there! I think the sign is just AWESOME, and it reminds me of crafting for some reason because of the colors and the font. We would have to stay at a value if we ever plan on staying on property again, and that's the one I would choose! Howard would absolutely love staying in the Cars section!
We soon arrived at Animal Kingdom Lodge! Oh my gosh, I was jumping out of my skin! I couldn't pay attention to the cartoon with Donald Duck that they were playing after the main video.
It's Jambo House, our home for the next week or so! I remember when I first tried picking a resort. Joanna had to explain the difference between Jambo and Kidani to me because I never felt the need to learn about the resorts beforehand. I'm glad we decided to stay in Jambo because it was breathtaking walking into that lobby every day. Of course, the one reason we would've liked staying at Kidani instead was the fact that it has Sanaa! The distance didn't stop us from eating there twice on our honeymoon though. Whoops, I'm getting ahead of myself!
We have officially-officially arrived now! Other than 3 other people, we were the only ones left on the bus, and I think we all got off and got our luggage. BREATHTAKING. That's all I'm going to say right now!
Round 7: Cropped
Where was this picture taken? Remember, only guess per person, and no editing posts! Good luck!
Round 8: Bonus Weak Sauce Points
When we were on our honeymoon, Howard and I ate at Sunshine Seasons twice. We ordered the same dishes that we love during each visit. For one weak sauce point, guess which dish I had to devour two times, and for another weak sauce point, guess what dish Howard had to devour two times! (Even if you guess the right dish, it must be matched up with the right person!)
