Stop staring at me Phil! A Vinylmation stalking(with a side of *sparkle*)9/19 TR END!

After our relaxing morning and afternoon we got ready for dinner at ‘Ohana. We took a bus over to MK and a monorail over to the Poly. This was Tim’s first time eating there and I had been raving about it for a while so he had high expectations!

Unlimited meat...no worries. :thumbsup2

We sat down and Tim had asked me what my favorite moment of the trip had been so far. I went on and on about the Halloween party, and other moments. I finally took a breath and I asked him what his favorite moment had been. He said to me "right now" and he got down on one knee in the sand and pulled out a beautiful ring!! (I still can't seem to get a good pic of it, my camera isnt the best)

Awesome story! Wonderful way to propose. Great work Tim! And congratulations again!

After the fireworks we headed back to POP! for the night. When I opened the door to our room I was again shocked:

He had the Disney florist set up this surprise while we were out having dinner and watching fireworks :goodvibes

Ok, now he's just making us look bad. :rotfl2:

Love, love, LOVE the engagement story!!!

I think it's great that he was able to keep the surprise for so long, and what a sweet way to propose. I love the flowers and M&M photo, too. We still need to get that framed, actually!

Yay! We made it to engagement day! I have to agree with Alicia that this story is just as good the second time around! Now, after this weekend, here's my advice for you. Take in every moment you can! It really does go by too fast and it's all so wonderful so take a moment, look around you, and do your best to remember every detail about the planning and then again on your wedding day! Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip and planning in your other report! Wish I could do it all again!

Completely agree! Everyone told me that the day would fly by, but whenever I saw how much time we had our reception booked for, I thought we'd start to get bored. Turns out, I felt like the whole thing was only an hour! Parts of it were a blur, and I still feel like it went by too fast. :rotfl:

I love your Muppets shirts! I have several myself, but not those! So cute!

Hi Shannon! :goodvibes: I've been away from the boards for a bit but looks like I returned for the right post!

Love the proposal and how sweet it was :cutie: A perfect way to end the evening :cloud9:

Awww, I love your engagement story! Your room looked so beautiful, all decorated like that! And your ring is so pretty, my engagement ring is almost exactly the same! You guys are going to have such a great wedding and Disneymoon!

Thank you :goodvibes It was such a fun surprise to see the room decorated like that! good taste in engagement rings :thumbsup2 I love the solitare ring style, its so pretty!

AWWWWW!:cloud9:

Way to go Timmy! What an amazing story to tell for years to come! And what a gorgeous ring!:love:

Thank you :goodvibes He is a great guy and I was really surprised!

I've been waiting for this part of the story! Great job Tim and congratulations to both of you!:thumbsup2

Thank you so much :goodvibes He did do a great job!!

This story is just as good the second time around!

Since I read your wedding planning journal, I knew at the beginning of this update that the night of Ohana's was the proposal, but it was still so sweet to read. It so awesome and so fitting that you two met on the DISboards, got engaged at WDW, are getting married at the Swan, and taking a Disney cruise. You'll have to write a report on either this thread or the wedding one letting us all know how it went, because I'm sure it's going to be fantastic! :wizard:

Aww thank you :goodvibes

I think I am going to write a TR on this thread, just because more people read the trip reports area, I just need to be a lot better about updating it :rotfl: I have been doing a bad job of keeping this up to date with all the wedding stuff going on

Subbing!

Going back to read now...

I did cheat and read the engagement post already...such a sweet moment! Congrats to you both!

Thank you so much, thank you for joining too :goodvibes

What an amazing proposal story! I love it!!!
He did such an amazing job with picking a great moment and having the room decorated.

(I'm actually running the Goofy in 2013. Crazy, huh???)

Amanda

Thank you :goodvibes He did a great job!!

Oh my gosh you are goofy!! :rotfl: That is crazy, but that is really awesome!!
I can't wait to hear about it!

I just read through your whole TR - that proposal was so amazing! Wish my DH had put half as much thought in!! :goodvibes

Thank you so much :goodvibes

What a wonderful engagement story! Tim did such an amazing job! And I'm totally impressed he made it 5 days into the trip! Side note - DH and I got engaged at POP on the first night of our first trip to Disney together (and his first Disney trip ever!) because he was too excited and nervous to wait! We went to Kona Cafe and the Polynesian beach the next night to celebrate! So anyway, it's a very special spot for us as well... as is the Swan!! :goodvibes

Thank you :goodvibes I can't believe he made it that far into the trip without giving it away :rotfl: That is too sweet he couldn't wait and was too excited and nervous, that is so cute!! We love POP, that is our home away from home at Disney

Awww! Is there any better way to get engaged in this whole world?? I think not. What an amazing night! Congrats!

Thank you so much :goodvibes

I love your engagement story! Tim did goooood!

Your ring is even more gorgeous in person! Love it!

Time is flying, girlie! It will be September before you know it!

Thank you twinny :goodvibes I can't wait to see you in September! Time is really flying by its crazy!

Hi, I've just started reading your trip report and I'm loving it so far - especially your cute T shirts.

Congratulations on your engagement, what a romantic proposal, and your ring is beautiful!

Thank you :goodvibes I had some personalized shirts made for our honeymoon trip that I am dying to wear!!

I am still wiping the tears away and I am so happy for you guys! Even though I knew you were engaged seeing the pictures of your gorgeous ring and the way the florist did the room is spectacular! Just gorgeous honey and you know how happy we are for the both of you:hug:

Aww thank you so much  you are just too sweet!! I am so glad we are able to keep up with each on fb as well :goodvibes

Shannon, I am crying happy tears....I love your engagement story. I certainly hope we can at least say hi to you and Tim when we are there in September. :goodvibes

Awww thank you so much  I hope that we can say hi as well in September, it would be great to meet you, I feel like I know you guys already!!

Awesome story! Wonderful way to propose. Great work Tim! And congratulations again!

Ok, now he's just making us look bad. :rotfl2:

:rotfl: He does good work!! Thank you :goodvibes

Love, love, LOVE the engagement story!!!

I think it's great that he was able to keep the surprise for so long, and what a sweet way to propose. I love the flowers and M&M photo, too. We still need to get that framed, actually!

Thank you :goodvibes We have it sitting around in our tiny home office area, we really need to get that picture framed or at least put it out

Thank you :cutie:

Thank you so much for that advice, I just teared up reading that, Its so much planning and I'm worried its going to fly by in a second. I am going to remember your advice and just take a moment during the day to just let it all sink in.

Completely agree! Everyone told me that the day would fly by, but whenever I saw how much time we had our reception booked for, I thought we'd start to get bored. Turns out, I felt like the whole thing was only an hour! Parts of it were a blur, and I still feel like it went by too fast. :rotfl:

I will make sure to pull Tim aside at some point and just take a look around and remember the day, the time leading up to the wedding is flying by and Im sure the same will happen once we are there

I love your Muppets shirts! I have several myself, but not those! So cute!

Thank you :goodvibes mine is from a Disney Store outlet and Tim's is from Target

Hi Shannon! :goodvibes: I've been away from the boards for a bit but looks like I returned for the right post!

Thank you :goodvibes I am finally back to update, I have been away from the boards as well, glad to have you back :thumbsup2

Well it’s hard to top engagement day, but we had a couple more days of vacation and we had to celebrate :goodvibes Tim had “Just Engaged” buttons ready for us to wear and I was pretty excited!

We were off to EPCOT for a second day to spend some more time checking out F&W festival and see anything we missed our first day there. And of course lets start the day with a photopass shoot please!

So the photographer kept saying “turn and kiss each other” but with her heavy accent, Tim and I both kept hearing “Turn and lick each other” So I just had to share our awkward kiss while laughing picture. We decided Stitch in the corner summed up that moment, we couldn’t stop laughing

We were off to ride Test Track and Soarin first, we were able to get on both easily and had a blast! I am so sad we aren’t going to be able to ride Test Track on our honeymoon trip, since it will still be under refurb.

We headed to Innoventions next to walk around and check out the exhibits, I talked Tim into doing the Great Piggy Bank Adventure. Mainly because the pig is adorable and looks like the piggy bank we have at home to save for WDW trips. This exhibit is really fun even for just 2 adults with no children, we had a great time and the CMs working there were so nice.

We did a great job saving during the game and worked up an appetite. We headed to WS and stopped in Hawaii to have our favorite, the pork sliders again

SAM_0699.jpg

And at 11 am, what goes better with that then a Mai Tai

SAM_0700.jpg

Epcot really is so beautiful, I always have to take a picture of this view

SAM_0701.jpg

While walking around WS, we decided we needed some dessert. We picked an Italian canola, one of Tim’s favorites

SAM_0702.jpg

I had to snap a picture, because this Aladdin looks like John Stamos to me :rotfl:

SAM_0703.jpg

We decided to take a break to sit and relax before our lunch ADR at Chefs. We found a bench over by International Gateway

Repeat Epcot days are great, because you feel like you can do some stuff you missed the first time aroun. And how exciting that you got to wear your Just Engaged buttons for the first time! Doesn't it feel great having a celebration button on? :goodvibes

That pork slider still looks so good. I told Alex I have to try that this fall. (If it's there.)

So the photographer kept saying “turn and kiss each other” but with her heavy accent, Tim and I both kept hearing “Turn and lick each other”
Now that would make an interesting Photopass picture. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I didn't realize how quick your wedding was coming up until you mentioned that Test Track would still be closed. It won't be long now! :thumbsup2

If you're going to try and top it, Disney is probably your best bet.

This is a family park. Save those pictures for Universal.

I am so sad we aren’t going to be able to ride Test Track on our honeymoon trip, since it will still be under refurb.

:sad1: We're going to miss out this summer, too.

Great PP pics! Love the story behind the kiss/lick photo lol and why Stitch is in the corner.

We did the Great Piggy Bank Adventure and have to agree that even with two adults it is entertaining.

Mmm I so want to plan a trip around the F&W festival...all the reports around that time always have yummy treats! I love the pic of the view of Epcot...it captures the park so nicely.

LOL at your Stitch picture!! So funny!!

I've never done the Piggybank Adventure! We will have to try it next time. That piggy is cute! Love the family portrait.

MMMM.. food porn! I want that canola!

OMG. The resemblance between Aladdin and John is uncanny!! Weird...

You two are my favorites. Love you twinny!

Too funny about the "Turn and lick each other!" :rotfl2:
What a gorgeous day you had at Epcot! Love the blue skies!!!

Amanda

:rotfl: John Stamos! I can totally see that!

Aw that's right, TT will be down through Nov 30. I'm REALLY hoping that they open up by Nov 30 and don't push it back, seeing as we'll be getting there Dec 8th.

EPCOT a second time is really great, I feel a lot more relaxed :thumbsup2

I loved wearing the Just Engaged buttons, it was fun to have that little bit of attention :goodvibes

I hope the pork slider is back it was really my favorite of all the F&W I tried

Now that would make an interesting Photopass picture. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Tim wanted to delete the photopass picture, so I added Stitch so we could keep it :rotfl:

Its only about 2 and a half months away now  time is flying!

This is a family park. Save those pictures for Universal.

:rotfl::rotfl: So true, that behavior is not tolerated at EPCOT :rotfl:

If you ever get the chance to plan a trip sometime during F&W you should, its a great time and there is tons of yummy food!!

You will love the piggy bank adventure, its so cute, plus its a game and we love games!!

Isn't that so weird?? Jasmine was waving to us after I took the picture, I wanted to yell I love you Uncle Jessie to John Stamos look alike Aladdin but she was blocking him :rotfl:

Too funny about the "Turn and lick each other!" :rotfl2:
What a gorgeous day you had at Epcot! Love the blue skies!!!

We really did have awesome weather the whole trip, it was great :goodvibes

:rotfl: John Stamos! I can totally see that!

I'm glad you see it too!! I should have specified John Stamos from Full House era :rotfl:

Hopefully you will be able to ride and take lots of pictures, it looks like the refurb will be really cool!! :goodvibes

I'm loving your trip report! Thank you for sharing.

Congratulations on your engagement. Such a wonderful place to get engaged.

I was so afraid I was going to be like three updates behind, and I was thrilled when I was only one. :goodvibes

What a nice day for the newly engaged couple and a great place to spend that day -- Epcot.

That sandwich from Hawaii looks really, really yummy.

And despite my dislike of Stitch, that is a great photopass pic. :thumbsup2
