Led Zeppelin Collides With The Magic Kingdom! The Grand Finale!!! 6.28.2012

IMG_1197.jpg

Pangani Trail is next ….I have never been able to really see the gorillas either due to short on time or way too many people! I had much better luck this time!!

First a strange looking fellow!

IMG_1198.jpg

And a MOUSE!!!! :rolleyes1

The bird house thingy...

Continued in the next post....

We have about 1 ½ hours left so we decide what to do with our time: It’s Tough To Be a Bug and Primeval Whirl win out! So we begin walking to ITTBAB when we see these guys and we decide to sit a spell and enjoy!!

IMG_1228.jpg

IMG_1229.jpg

IMG_1232.jpg

IMG_1233.jpg

IMG_1234.jpg

IMG_1235.jpg

Of course this decision rules out one of the two things we had wanted to do. What wins out? ITTBAB!!

As we approach the entrance we see Dug and Russell! I snag a quick picture
IMG_1242.jpg

and we move forward….

These signs always crack me up!!

IMG_1251.jpg

IMG_1252.jpg

Madison in her special bug glasses!!

IMG_1253.jpg

Just before the show begins…

IMG_1255.jpg

And thankfully Madison did not hit anyone in the face when the spiders dropped from the ceiling! (Last year she nearly knocked my mom’s teeth out!!)

After the show, we really only have 20 minutes until out 3pm meet time so we meander in the direction of the front gate.

IMG_1256.jpg

IMG_1257.jpg

IMG_1258.jpg

Everyone arrives on time so and we begin to our last park destination: Hollywood Studios!! And that will be the last park!!!

I love the fact that you can take pictures of people you may know some day. It's so much fun to think someone has a picture of you and you don't know it. I don't understand why that girl freaked out about that concept. :confused3 People are weird.

Of course ITTBAB won out! Who wouldn't want to go see that. That trumps Primeval Whirl for me any day.

I was really surprised how upset the girl got! In this day and age there are probably tons of pictures taken everyday, everywhere of unsuspecting people!!

Of course ITTBAB won out!! It would always be my first choice! I have actually only rode Primeval Whirl once! Other things always win out!

So you had to include the picture of that "other" mouse, huh!!!

Seriously, your time at AK has been well spent. You all did a lot for a short day! You should be proud of yourselves! I love taking time to stop and see the "extras" at WDW. The African drummers are always fun to watch and I LOVE the store that's right there too. Can't think of the name of it right now but we always end up making purchases in there!:goodvibes

You guys got a lot done at AK! We've never done any of the trails there, we'll probably save it for when DD5 is older.

I wonder why that kid freaked out about the photos? I couldn't begin to count the number of strangers are in my pictures! :lmao:

You got a pic of Russel and Dug! When we were there, the CM manning the line was very hard core about not letting anyone take photos if they weren't in line. He was very nice about it-saying he didn't want anyone taking pics of other people's children. It stood out for me because I've never heard any of the CMs say that before. It also stood out because we'd just sold our house and our realtor made us remove all pics of DD from the walls so that strangers couldn't see pics of her. Creepy.

Looking forward to the HS update! You're next trip is so close now! You must be getting so excited!

I forgot I even had that picture of the mouse and when I saw it I knew I had to post just for you!! :rotfl2:

I was very pleased with what was accomplished! It was a productive morning! I had seen the drummers briefly once but we did not linger. They were so entertaining! I know exactly which store you are talking about! I love that store too and it is a must every trip!!

The trails are really cool but I have seen little kids get upset during crowded times due to not being able to see very well.

I didn't understand why the girl got so upset either. There are no telling how many pictures I have wound up in over the years!

I was so excited to see Russell and Dug! I snapped that picture really quick but I haven't ever had a CM tell me that. I do try not to get an unknown child but it is more so I have the picture of just the characters. I can see the fear since there are some creepy people out there! I tend to be naive and not think about that since I know I am not taking the picture for unsavory purposes and don't consider others may!

I am aiming to finish this TR before our trip! Time is quickly ticking away!! :hyper:

3pm was the meet up time at Animal Kingdom and then we were off to DHS! We would play in this park until closing--10pm. We arrived around 3:45pm to start our playing!!

Oh there you are my dear friend!!!

IMG_1261.jpg

And soon we were going through the gates!

IMG_1262.jpg

IMG_1263.jpg

My cohort and I head to the First Aid area which is actually at the front of the park this time! And then we meet Madison and her friends at Tower of Terror.

IMG_1264.jpg

IMG_1265.jpg

Now they were supposed to wait for me because my cohort did not care to ride. Did they…no!! So I wait for about 30 minutes in the gift shop for them to exit!

IMG_1266.jpg

IMG_1267.jpg

IMG_1268.jpg

They exit finally and we are off to queue up again. The wait was about 15 minutes which is pretty good! This is another queue that I really love!!

Continued in the next post.....

After that awesome ride we begin trying to decide what to do next! We really had not eaten much. Breakfast was hours and hours ago and the pretzels were basically it so we decide to find food!!!!!

They all look at our vouchers to see what the choices are and they chose Pizza Planet! They ask me if it is any good and I state I have no idea since I have never been there. We decide to give it a try and I lead the pack. They were simply amazed that I go through every park and know where to go even if I haven’t been there before (places like Pizza Planet)--and never even use a map!! :lmao: They just do not realize my awesomeness!! :lmao::lmao:

IMG_1289.jpg

Along the way we stop for a picture of the hat and the girls try on a hat!

IMG_1290.jpg

DHS5.jpg

Then a few pics along the way of Streets of America until we reach our destination!!

IMG_1295.jpg

IMG_1296.jpg

IMG_1297.jpg

We made it!!

IMG_1298.jpg

It is chow time!!

IMG_1299.jpg

Busy making our pizzas!!

IMG_1300.jpg

Madison decides to rest on the bars while we wait our turn. Yes, we were all beginning to really feel the effects of three full days in the hot Florida sun, no breaks and long hours!!

IMG_1301.jpg

I lead the way upstairs because I am thinking….outlets!!! And we score!!! I know my phone will need charging since we will be loading the bus for the ride home and after a full day with no charge the battery is beginning to wane!

Refueling:

DHS6.jpg

Our food:

IMG_1305.jpg

I got the veggie pizza, Caesar salad and cappuccino cupcake.

IMG_1304.jpg

Madison had the pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad and a chocolate cupcake.

I have never eaten CS at DHS before and was very hesitant because all I ever hear is very negative reviews. Well, Pizza Planet was very good and I would go back!!

The kids head down to play a few games in the arcade and I remain with everyone’s phones , bags, etc. While I wait for them, I look through all of my pictures on my camera and find myself dozing off! :guilty: I was getting pretty exhausted by this point! So I get up and take some pictures of the area…

This area is just too cute!!! By this time it is around 5:30pm so several hours left to play!! Where to next?!

Whew! I'm feeling tired for you. That bus ride would have been just enough to make me all sleepy and tired. However, even if that happened, I'm sure the Tower would have been enough to make you wide awake again. :goodvibesLooks like everyone loved the ride!

I agree with you about Pizza Planet. One of the better cc options at HS. Too bad Starring Rolls was closed already! (and thank goodness they didn't pick ABC Commissary:scared:).

Forgot to mention that your awesomeness is duly noted!!

Knowing I was going to get to ride ToT made the effort to stay functioning easier but I really was beginning to feel like a wind up doll winding down!!

I really enjoyed Pizza Planet and upstairs was so uncrowded that it was a nice quiet reprieve! And for Starring Rolls...well, I think I hear it calling my name in a couple of weeks!! :goodvibes

Thank you so much for recognizing my awesomeness!! :rotfl:

They tire of the arcade pretty quickly, we gather our things and head off for the store across the street…

IMG_1317.jpg

IMG_1318.jpg

IMG_1319.jpg

IMG_1320.jpg

IMG_1321.jpg

IMG_1322.jpg

There is a town about an hour from us (Leland, MS) where Jim Henson invented Kermit the Frog. There is a museum there and we had plans two weekends ago to tour the Delta with that being a stop....torrential downpours changed our minds. This picture reminded me of the boredom of that day!! :headache:

IMG_1323.jpg

IMG_1324.jpg

IMG_1325.jpg

At the time we were there, Easter was just around the corner...

IMG_1326.jpg

IMG_1327.jpg

Our next attraction is Star Tours.

IMG_1328.jpg

This is another one that was pretty much walk-on. We waited around 10 minutes. A few pictures along the way…

IMG_1330.jpg

IMG_1331.jpg

DHS7.jpg

And then we go to Street of America!

IMG_1333.jpg

IMG_1334.jpg

They have fun posing

I think I'm jumping in mid-update, but I couldn't wait. :lmao:

We tried Pizza Planet this trip, and I liked it too!

I understand why you were exhausted! I would have been too.

and then as they come out of the subway I call the picture “Abbey Road” because there was something about their walking stance!

DHS10.jpg

DHS11.jpg

DHS12.jpg

This prompted an immediate “Abbey Road” pose here:

IMG_1345.jpg

Which then became their signature (you will see later!) Superman Pose!

IMG_1347.jpg

We walk over to Toy Story Mania but the wait is much too long….90 minutes! This is the reason all of the other lines are short! ….Well, almost!

IMG_1348.jpg

IMG_1349.jpg

IMG_1350.jpg

IMG_1351.jpg

No one wants to wait this long so we move on!

IMG_1352.jpg

IMG_1353.jpg

IMG_1354.jpg

IMG_1355.jpg

Everyone votes on Rock-n-Roller and this is where my cohort decides to wander on his own! He wasn’t into the roller coaster/dropping rides so we bid farewell for the time being.

Madison and a friend are “terrified” of ToT!!

DHS13.jpg

Arriving at RnR we see the wait is around 30 minutes but no one really has other desires so we queue up!

IMG_1359.jpg

IMG_1360.jpg

As we are going to queue up I snap this picture...

IMG_1361.jpg

And then the very next picture is this (and we have yet to get inside)...

IMG_1362.jpg

And then we make it indoors...

IMG_1363.jpg

IMG_1364.jpg

The wait is not too terrible and soon we are zipping through the freeways of LA!

IMG_1365.jpg

IMG_1366.jpg

We exit the building and plot our next move...

IMG_1367.jpg

I think I'm jumping in mid-update, but I couldn't wait. :lmao:

We tried Pizza Planet this trip, and I liked it too!

I understand why you were exhausted! I would have been too.

You did but that is okay!! :goodvibes I had cut the portion that was over my picture limit and when I went to post it in my continued post it was the last picture! :headache: So I had to redo it but thankfully this has happened too many times before and I now write in a Word doc first!!

I highly recommend Pizza Planet to people now since most CS at DHS seem to get a bad rap!! I was so tired!!!

Gracious! I was several updates behind but, like I said on my report, I am not getting email notifications when updates are posted. :headache: This morning, I had 186 emails just from the Dis.

Anyway....nice way to wrap up your day at Animal Kingdom. I'm happy that you were able to actually see the gorillas since it's usually too crowded for you to see them. Oh and I bet Madison's friends were glad that she didn't bop them in the face when the spiders came down at It's Tough To Be A Bug.

It sounds like your time at Hollywood Studios is going along quite well. We usually grab a bite to eat at Toy Story Pizza Planet because Hunter is a pizza fiend. We've always thought that it was pretty good.

Hum...what else? I can't remember. Oops! :rolleyes1

I have had times when I don't get e-mails and then BOOM! Plus it makes me super behind on reading everyone's TRs! :headache:

I believe Madison's friends were extremely happy that she didn't bop them! My mom still mentions that when we discuss Disney!

I think that you are the one that mentioned Pizza Planet being good and I had jotted that down...I am almost pretty sure it was you! So thanks for the tip!! :goodvibes

Welcome to my final post of this TR!! By now you are probably saying  or :yay: but I was determined to finish before my July trip which is only 7 days away!! So I feel pretty :cool2: that I managed to make it!! :cool1:

So let's see where was I?

Oh yeah! After an amazing ride…..because RnR is awesome like that…we decide to try ToT one more time! The wait is…..a walk on! So we ride:

Untitled.jpg

And we ride (note the superman stance!):

DHS4.jpg

And we ride:

DHS3.jpg

And we ride two more times but I got tired of carrying my camera as we walked on/rode/exited/walked on/rode/exited…well, you get the idea!

Attraction wise, this became the highlight of the trip!

One reason the crowds were low was because they were all in Fantasmic! And that was fine by me!!! :)

We decide we are too tired to continue and Fantasmic! is letting out anyhow so we begin to drag ourselves to the front.

So long my dear, dear friend!!

IMG_1374.jpg

We are to meet up at 10pm to load the buses! Along the way a few last pictures…

IMG_1375.jpg

IMG_1376.jpg

IMG_1381.jpg

IMG_1382.jpg

A little shopping (I loved this black and white line!!)

And then a couple of pictures at the entrance before we head to the buses!

IMG_1386.jpg

IMG_1387.jpg

IMG_1389.jpg

IMG_1390.jpg

IMG_1391.jpg

IMG_1392.jpg

We load up and leave around 10:45pm. Then we watch a few movies, sleep, whatever for the next 12 hours! We arrive back in Mississippi and the school at 10:30am. Everything gets unloaded and we head home, grab a Sonic burger and crash!!

Continued in the next post...

I am so glad I went on this trip! I had so much fun and I would not have been happy had I missed seeing my girl march on Main Street! Even though the days were long and hot and we came home exhausted, it is something I would do again in a heart beat !! Every trip to Disney makes its own special memories that last forever!!

The kids were great and no problem which I know added to the trip! Plus they let me hang out with them...pretty significant since I am not a teenager like them!! Although at times I did find myself acting like them and would have to remind myself that I was the parent chaperone!! :lmao:

And one last thing before I depart! Souvenirs!! What did I get? Well let’s see!

A Mickey Mouse trivet (from that black and white line!) I had seen it at Yankee Traders but it was too early in the day to contemplate dragging that around! I got this one at the store in DHS.

IMG_1403.jpg

The strawberry drink from Japan

IMG_1402.jpg

The chocolate candy from Norway and Italy for DS and DH

IMG_1400.jpg

Mickey Mouse earrings from the POTC gift shop

IMG_1399.jpg

My must have from each trip: Laila from Norway!

IMG_1398.jpg

And since I was spending the money already….I got a “with purchase” watch!

IMG_1396.jpg

IMG_1397.jpg

A huge Mickey Mouse coffee mug from AK…not sure of the store since I just followed someone in but it is one of my all-time favorite purchases!

IMG_1394.jpg

And this is on the inside!

IMG_1395.jpg

And finally, I purchased some pjs for Madison and added this Mickey bag in as a “with purchase” add-on.

IMG_1393.jpg

I love it and it works great toting work to and from…makes taking work home not so bad…well, a little less so!!

I am so glad you all stopped by and read along and stuck with me! I hope you enjoyed and until next time—So long!! :wave2:

I don't think I have ever smelled Laila in Norway. I will add that to my must do list.

I love that mug.:thumbsup2
