We arrived home a few hours ago from a wonderful cruise on the Magic.

This was a great 5 day trip - and it could have been even better with another stop as a 7 day.

The marketing of this seems to be a bit confused. Its Canada and the New England Coast (with no stops in New England) Its also the Canada Maritimes. I'm sure the marketing people at Disney will figure it out.

After a nine year hiatus from Disney over the cost, we went on the Dream in December and now the Magic. While the Dream has the new fangled stuff and the water slide is cool, I prefer the Magic/Wonder. Big but not too big and relatively easy to get around.

The crew and staff were terrific. The locals in Halifax and St John were awesome.

Great trip - if you go, bring pants and sweatshirts just in case.

Off to DVC in Hilton Head tomorrow!

Hi. Thank you so much for posting all of this info! It will help greatly with planning. Quick question about the wine, beer, etc tastings. I don't see a charge listed in the Navigator. Did you do any of the alcohol tastings? Was there an upcharge? Just curious because there definitely is a charge on other lines I've cruised. Thank you!

I just got off the NYC June 2nd and the wine tastings were all $15 (he did mention they sometimes differ in price but $15 was the general). And I have to say they were very generous at our Champagne & Sparkling wine tasting - well worth the $15

Also wondering if you liked the Saint John River Cruise. I noticed the Reversing Falls. Did you stop there on the way to the cruise?

Trying to decide what to do in Saint John. Looking at your photos of the city (just beyond the terminal, I'm guessing), it looks very industrial (along the river, makes sense for industry long ago)

We loved the Riveer Cruise. We got a tour of the city on the way, and it was very interesting for me because I work in community development, and it's interesting to see how other places do things. The river itself is beautiful..I tho k I posted the picture of the eagle we saw with its nest. Our guide was wonderful, and made it fun for adults as well as kids.

We stopped at the reversing falls on the way to the cruise, and we watched the people on the jet boat. At that time the river was filled with rapids. By the time we got back, the river had reversed and we could really see the difference.

Thanks for the compliment on DH's shirt! He says to tell you that you have good taste LOL!
