:thumbsup2Which rooms are considered "Hospitality House" rooms. Just 11 - 14 across the road or others also. Thanks!

We are going to check in Old Key West in Memorial weekend . Beside buildings 11 thru 14 be considered hospitality , we believe also buildings 23 thru 26 . Hope to see you there .

Thanks so much! We won't be there until August :woohoo:. Enjoy. My dd and I stayed last year five days at SSR and OKW. We were in bldg 14. Close to everything but our room had some housekeeping issue. Well alot. They took care of them so we are hoping for a better room. My hubby never stayed there and wants to try. :yay:

Just back from a stay in OKW.
We were first given a one bedroom in the 40 building on Turtle Pond road, and it was disgusting. We opened the door to the room and it smelled heavily of smoke.
Back to check in.
They then gave us 3325(?)...a one bedroom. Nicer view. Golf course and canal area. Although..again housekeeping wasn't great. The floors were not that clean (from the black on our socks..and the "sticky" stuff on the floor in front of fridge). Also..finger prints and drool type marks on the glass doors to the terrace. REALLY?:rolleyes1...I couldn't believe they didn't wipe the glass down. Once you pulled up the shakes you could see that. I mean I took some glass cleaner and did it myself. That being said, I think housekeeping has been poor in the resorts recently. We had two nights at the Poly prior to our cruise..and it it was DISGUSTINGY dirty.
I'm for the first time..considering staying off site. Never thought I'd say it..but for what the rates are, I expect it to be at least as clean as the local Holiday Inn.

Here is a coded map of OKW. Hope that this helps!

Thank you so much for the outlined map. I can decide where to request as I won't have car.

I stayed in Bldg. 14 last August and it was shabby and light above shower was loaded with bugs:scared1:. My guess was crickets. They had to reclean the room it had dust layers:rolleyes2 and the light fixture was beyond neglect. I think I may request a room across the street 16 or 62 in that area.

Giving it a second chance as I liked the pool area:wizard: and grounds and the manager did work on fixing the issues. She wanted to move me but after a five days at SSR and moving to OKW I had just unpacked and didn't want to move again. After all was fixed. I had to take all the previous occupants belonging and papers they left in the night table I found:scared1:. Bills etc with names on it. Housekeeping didn't even check the drawer.

Did you book on points the Hospitality House Area? If you did, you can't get Bldg 16 or 62. They are not HHA.

I will highly recommend buildings 23 - 26 if you have a Hospitality House booking. They are the first bus stop at Peninsular Road and a very short 3 minute walk over the bridge to the main area where the pool, Olivia's, Community House, and check-in are. This is our home resort and we've stayed in most of the buildings close to the Hospitality House and these buildings are our favorites. We actually prefer 23 or 24 2nd floor for the views, but any of the 4 buildings you won't go wrong.

Great thing is if you miss your bus at Peninsular road you just take a leisure stroll over to the Hospitality House and catch it as it makes the last stop before it leaves the resort. We love the OKW bus service!!!

Good luck!!!

Thanks for the information! There aren't any hospitality house rooms left :worried:so I booked regular room. So I am going to try for the road across from Hospitality House 16, 17 or 62 or 64.

We've stayed in both 62 and 64. They're great because they each have elevators. Also, just a short walk across the street to the Hospitality House and the other areas of interest. I always wondered why these were not part of the HH booking. Great locations with awesome views from your porch or balcony of the golf course. You'll love it!!!

Thanks, that good for us to know! We have rented points for a studio and have requested building 23, high floor as we didn't want to be too blocked in by trees! There was a post a while back that detailed what configuration each building was, so IIRC we would be on the second floor as the third floor of that buiding does not have any studios.
We will be using the buses as we won't have a car, so glad to know they are good! :thumbsup2

Claire :)

We just got back from a studio on Old Turtle Pond (Building 32). The room was clean and quiet and was right near the transportation station. Only drawback was that it was a good hike to the Hospitality House so we wound up taking the bus to get there.

I just spent 10 days in a studio in building 35 at Old Key West  It was right across from the bus stop and the walk to the Hospitality House was fine :dance3: I had requested that building for the water view but the water levels were so low the pond was down 8 to 10 feet  And we were surrounded by a huge palm tree :rolleyes1 But my daughter loves palm trees so she liked reading her Nook out there :cool1:

Stayed in 62 last summer, 2nd floor. Quick walk to the bus stop and HH. Have also stayed in 64 and 32. 32 was nice, right next to the busstop and short walk to Turtle Pond pool.

Enjoy your stay!

I'm new here... What does Hospitality House Area mean?

Hi and welcome KRuns!! The Hospitality House is the Main Reception Area that includes the check - in area, Bell services, General Store, Olivias Restaurant, and quick serve food and Gurgling Suitcase(drinks). Also the marina and feature pool.

The Hospitality House rooms in post #6 outlined in blue are considered very close to this area.

So people requests this area to be close to amenities. :wizard:
