I was just checking EMH for parks and noticed it did not state shades of green was eligible for the early entry and late evening parks.
Are we eligible?
Aren't we all just big kids Especially at The World.
I was at the shades of green in December 2011, and while they do have their own ticket office..the salute tickets were not available..they had to be purchased at the theme parks for some reason..nor were the salute tickets available at the local MWR offices....I went a day early and spent the night at Shades of Green with the specific intent ot get all my tickets sorted before checking in the Boardwalk the next day
I'm sure this has been asked but I couldn't find the answer through searching.
Can you use your Star card to purchase the Armed Forces Salute tickets?
no, I don't think so. You're purchasing a Disney ticket.

We got back on Saturday from our 12 day trek to Florida. We spent 6 nights at SOG and loved it. Our pre-ordered tickets were at the check in desk as promised. We found the entire staff at SOG very helpful and accomodating.
The rooms as stated in other posts are big and comfortable. The room fridges are very small and the 2 in our rooms didnt get very cold. They were fine for cooling bottled water but I didnt trust the temp for milk. The blowdryer in one room worked very well, while the one in my room was not very powerful.
We ate in the buffet for 2 breakfast meals and 3 dinner meals. We found the food good to very good and the service average. We didnt eat in the Italian restaurant. The counter service restaurant by the shuttle had good breakfast sandwiches. We also ate at the Golf Course bar. The burgers were very good.
The pools were nice and adequate. The hot tub small and always crowded. The grounds are beautiful. I wish we had more time to walk the area.
The bus service at SOG was fine. We never waited at the hotel for availability and only waited a short time at the parks for the shuttle to arrive.
We loved our time at SOG.
Thanks for the review.. I an anxiously awaiting our trip in August! How far was it to walk to the golf course bar?
The original date was August 19th.. that is why I booked that date. I got this great DEAL...Realize that if you put more than 2 people in a room they charge you $15 pp more

It is a short walk from the hotel lobby. We stayed in the older part of the hotel which was very convenient to everything. I would highly advise requesting a room near the lobby. The walk from the newer rooms is a good distance. The golf club is adjacent to the mickey pool.
