SHADES OF GREEN at Walt Disney World Resort Information & Questions

I was just checking EMH for parks and noticed it did not state shades of green was eligible for the early entry and late evening parks.

yes (unless something has VERY recently changed) we are.

We were there just two or three weeks ago and we were eligible for the EMH then. I am sure nothing has changed. I just think they don't like to announce anything for Shades since we are technically not a Disney resort. Just show your Shades room key and you should be fine.

This is really weird. On the WDWMagic forums some guy insists that you can't buy Salute tickets at SoG only at the parks.

see below.......... His is top, mine is response below.

I was at the shades of green in December 2011, and while they do have their own ticket office..the salute tickets were not available..they had to be purchased at the theme parks for some reason..nor were the salute tickets available at the local MWR offices....I went a day early and spent the night at Shades of Green with the specific intent ot get all my tickets sorted before checking in the Boardwalk the next day

I don't know what to say. I was also there in December. Preordered my tickets via SoG emailed form and was sold the salute tickets. They were ready for me at the desk at check in. I have gotten the salute tickets at the SoG ticket office for the last three years. Like I said, I have never purchased tickets at a park only SoG. Weird. You have to activate them at a park guest services counter but made the purchase at SoG.

Maybe someone else would like to weigh in.

We were there in Dec and while we stayed at WL we went over to Shades to specifically get our tickets, and did so with no problems!

We got back on Saturday from our 12 day trek to Florida. We spent 6 nights at SOG and loved it. Our pre-ordered tickets were at the check in desk as promised. We found the entire staff at SOG very helpful and accomodating.
The rooms as stated in other posts are big and comfortable. The room fridges are very small and the 2 in our rooms didnt get very cold. They were fine for cooling bottled water but I didnt trust the temp for milk. The blowdryer in one room worked very well, while the one in my room was not very powerful.
We ate in the buffet for 2 breakfast meals and 3 dinner meals. We found the food good to very good and the service average. We didnt eat in the Italian restaurant. The counter service restaurant by the shuttle had good breakfast sandwiches. We also ate at the Golf Course bar. The burgers were very good.
The pools were nice and adequate. The hot tub small and always crowded. The grounds are beautiful. I wish we had more time to walk the area.
The bus service at SOG was fine. We never waited at the hotel for availability and only waited a short time at the parks for the shuttle to arrive.
We loved our time at SOG.

I didn't think so but was hoping they would since it's from a military ticket office. No big deal, would be nice to put them on the Star card but not a neccessity.

It is a short walk from the hotel lobby. We stayed in the older part of the hotel which was very convenient to everything. I would highly advise requesting a room near the lobby. The walk from the newer rooms is a good distance. The golf club is adjacent to the mickey pool.

The extra person charge is for persons over 18. We paid an additional $15 per night for our youngest dd who joined us for 2 nights of the trip. Our oldest dd and her husband were in the second room and were not charged for their 2 children.

Also, I don't think Chris means Evergreens right? There is a snack bar at the "quiet" pool and that snack bar faces the golf course. We've had great luck there getting sandwiches (sausage was great!)
