That's right, people, you heard me, KRISTEN AND I ARE CO-WRITING THIS TRIP REPORT.

For those of you who don't know us....

HELLO.

My name is Jess (on the right) and that's my best friend Kristen (on the left). We're both a little (okay.... we're like RIDICULOUSLY) obsessed with Disney.

We like to title ourselves as "The Frumps." You may have previously read about our adventures to Disney in:

Kristen and I were lucky enough to take our third trip to the world together this past May. We are so excited to share all of our adventures with you!

Here's the Disney May 2012 Crew:

Why, hello there. I'm Jess! I'm OBSESSED with Walt Disney World. I've been fortunate enough to go there at least once a year since I was a baby, so Disney is not only a theme park to me - it's a lifestyle. I'm 19 years old and I just finished my Freshman Year of college! I'm majoring in Theatre Performance and Communications Studies. I hope to do the Disney College Program soon... but I don't quite know when yet. Until then, I will keep going to WDW and learning as much as I possibly can about it, because ultimately I would love to end up working there someday! I love all of the classic rides, learning about how the parks came to be, noticing all of the Disney details, exploring all of the Disney resorts, and completely immersing myself in the Disney World experience every time I'm there.
My favorite park is the Magic Kingdom, closely followed by Disney's Hollywood Studios.
My favorite ride in all of Disney is TOY STORY MANIA!
My favorite Disney movies are Tangled, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Toy Story 3.
My favorite Disney resorts are Bay Lake Tower, the Beach Club, and Port Orleans French Quarter!
I'm in love with Disney food. And Disney transportation.
And my favorite Disney Princesses are Jasmine, Ariel, and Rapunzel.

Well hello there! I'm Kristen and I am a true believer in the Disney lifestyle. "Reality" and "real life" is what happens in between Disney trips. I'll be 17 years old this Saturday and I've been able to go to Disney World or Disneyland almost every year since I was six. I've been in love with everything from the concepts and Disney ideals to the magical details that you find everywhere you look. I cannot wait to do the Disney College Program in a couple years! I want so much to be a part of their magic-making experience every day. My favorite park on this trip was Hollywood Studios, but my all-time favorite is the Magic Kingdom. Who doesn't love a magical kingdom with a Castle. Seriously. My favorite rides are The Haunted Mansion, The Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain and Tower of Terror. My favorite Disney movies are Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Tangled, The Muppets, and The Princess and the Frog. My favorite Disney princess is Ariel because she is independent and follows her dreams no matter what. She is curious and totally fearless. My favorite Disney Resorts are the Yacht Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Port Orleans French Quarter. I am also in LOVE with Disney food. ANY and ALL Disney food. It's just all so magically delicious, like Lucky Charms, only BETTER. I also love Disney transportation, specifically the monorail. It's the best thing ever. I love all the resorts and their unique themes. Basically, anything beyond those magical gates of Heaven and I are on very good terms. So yeah. Enough about me. Mike and Katie

This is my brother, Mike, and his girlfriend, Katie. They are 19 and 20 years old. Mike has been going to Disney since he was eight years old. He loves it and all of the unique experiences that go along with it. He loves the food and the thrill rides. He loves the classic experiences that remind us of some really great memories from our childhood. He is a very talented artist, and would probably die of happiness if he got to be a Disney animator one day! He is an architecture/urban planning major and totally has an inner frumpy side. His favorite Disney parks are EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. He LOVES Toy Story Mania, DINOSAUR and Space Mountain. He loves the classic Disney movies like Aladdin and Toy Story. He is a great brother and such an awesome Disney companion. And boy can this kid EAT.

Katie is Michael's girlfriend of over a year now, and this trip was her very first one to Disney World! She is a total sweetheart and was so fun to watch her taking all of it in! I loved watching her smiley, adorable face! She is like a sister to me and I love her to death. She is so nice. She loved the food in Disney as well! And I'm sure she appreciated the convenience of Disney transportation. Her favorite park is the Magic Kingdom, and she loved the thrills like Space Mountain and Soarin'! Her favorite princess is Snow White. She is a total princess herself and loves Aladdin. She was so fun to go to Disney with because she was so curious about everything and so happy to be there!

Dave

Dave is my Dad, and he is a total Disney-lover. He loves the classic experiences and the food! He also loves to watch us all act like children and just have a blast. Typical parent-style. His favorite parks are Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. His favorite rides are Space Mountain, Toy Story Mania and Big Thunder Mountain. His favorite movies are Aladdin and ALL the Pixar films! He loved the fact that it wasn't so hot on this trip, as we usually go in June or July!

Now that that's all out of the way, there are a few concepts that you all need to grasp before proceeding on this magical journey.

First off, you may be asking yourself, what is a frump?

Well, a frump is someone who is lazy, crazy, loves food, and/or is Disney-obsessed. Basically, Jess and I love food, especially Disney food. We wear t-shirts and Disney clothes all the time, and we go crazy when we're together. We're just a bundle of energy. So, if you fit into any of these categories, then, by default, YOU are a frump.

Also, you may be wondering what that frumpy face is that Jess and I are making in that all-too-close-up picture up there.

Anyways, the deer face is a face that one makes when confronted with really delicious food, the prospect of a future Disney trip, or really any frumpy circumstance. It just reminds us of a deer in a headlights. Just ask Jess, she hit one once. Trust me, you people make this face ALL the time and you don't even know it. And guess what? SO DO WE.

We just have so much in common already! It's a beautiful thing.

Alright, so I think that's the majority of the background info you need on all of us. As far as this trip goes, here is the specific info:

Who: Me, Kristen, Mike, Katie, and Dave
What: A TRIP TO DISNEY! Kristen and Michael went to Disney with their Dad last year, and this year they were each allowed to bring a friend. KATIE AND I WERE THE CHOSEN ONES.
Where: We stayed at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort!
When: May 11th-16th, 2012 (And then I stayed on until the 19th, my Mom flew down, and we stayed at French Quarter. But we'll get there when we get there.)
Why: BECAUSE WE ALL LOVE DISNEY!!

And if you're wondering about this title, it's a combination catchphrases that we could NOT stop saying throughout the trip. We're all frumps, obviously. "The Wall" refers to the food wall we hit when we had consumed more food than our bodies could handle. "No One's Mad" is the saying that gives us the excuse to do what we want. I don't really know how to explain that one... it just makes sense in context. It's kind of like YOLO only.... not. My sister and I were down there the week after you guys and all your live tweeting really put us in the disney spirit, so thank you!

Prelude Entry #1: Real Life/Jess' Birthday Celebrations
May 6th-8th, 2012

Alright, so as per usual I am going to start off the trip report with some "real life" leading up to our delightful Disney departure day. (Ooh, that was such a good alliteration. Sorry, AP English Alumni over here.) Don't worry - there is a lot of Disney that is constantly sprinkled into my "reality," so I'm sure you guys will still enjoy it.

Basically, my life had been non-stop craziness since the semester began. However, once April rolled around it got even more insane. I was on wardrobe crew for our musical, Little Women, and it was tons of fun.

I met this girl who was on wardrobe crew named Miranda. We seriously were meant to be friends, because it turns out that SHE WAS LEAVING FOR THE DCP ON MAY 20TH! I'm so surprised I didn't know that, considering our theatre department is so small! She got accepted for Food and Beverage Services and is currently working at Rosie's at Hollywood Studios!

Once Little Women ended, we had one day and then it was FINALS week!

On the weekend in between finals week, my family decided to have a little early birthday party for me on May 6th. So my boyfriend, Preston, and I drove out to my house for the day to celebrate!

I figure I should do a little introduction of Preston for you guys, since he'll be mentioned throughout the real life update/some of my random comments. Preston and I met at college and started dating in February! We are very, very happy together! He lives in Georgia, which is very far from my home, but we'll survive through the summer and he'll be back in the Fall!

From the day that I met him, he has ALWAYS reminded me so much of Cory Matthews from Boy Meets World. They are twins!! (Especially when his hair is shorter. He had to grow the fro out for Little Women during school, but he cut it now!) Preston is also a Theatre Performance major and he's SUCH a frump. (It's a perfect match, right!?) Good thing he started dating me so he learned the definition of that glorious word - he uses it all the time now!

Preston loves Disney, but not nearly as much as me. He's only been there twice: once when he was two and once for his Senior Class trip. He has a lot of potential to become a Disney lover, though, so I'm workin' on it. We'll get there.

Okay, ANYWAYS back to my birthday party! We had lots of relatives from my Mom's side of the family over and we had a big ol' cookout. It was DELICIOUS! We also made a cake, which I decorated myself! I put lots of Mickey sprinkles and Mickey heads made out of frosting on there!

I loved seeing my family and I really enjoyed the food! Once the party ended, Preston and I had to get back to school. So we started driving back, and something terrible happened.

We were about 15 minutes away from my house, we were listening to "I Can See the Light" from Tangled, and everything was going just great. Then all out the sudden, out of the corner of my eye I see this BIG, BROWN ANIMAL. It came out of NOWHERE and I saw it on my left side. All I could think of was to slam on the breaks - so I did. The next thing I heard was this big THUD.

Yes folks, I hit a deer. ONE OF MY OWN KIN. It was awful. I am happy to report that the deer got up and ran away afterwords, so I hope it was okay. The grill of my car and the passenger side door suffered some damages, but thankfully it's all fixed now! The part that I am most thankful for, though, is that Preston and I were COMPLETELY okay. Thank God. Someone was really looking out for us that night!

Here is my car. (her name is Brooke) Post-deer collision.

My parents came to the site of the accident, then my Mom drove Preston and me back up to school. I had an exam in the morning!

So on May 7th I took my exam, finished packing up my room, and said goodbye to everybody.

On May 8th, IT WAS MY 19TH BIRTHDAY!!!!! WOOHOO! And it was the day we moved out of our dorms!

I woke up and Preston gave me my wonderful birthday present! (which I have pictures of later in the update) We packed ALL morning, then my Mom drove up to school and took us out to lunch! I got a grilled cheese and sweet potato fries - two of my favorite things!

We got back to school and then we loaded up my car. We JAMMED it full of all of Preston and my stuff. (Preston was staying over at my house for a few days because we booked his flight for Georgia was on the same day I was flying out for Disney! That way we could go to the airport together.)

We left school and then went to pick up Kristen. She squeezed in the front seat with me, my Mom drove, and Preston sat in the back surrounded by STUFF. Thankfully, after a bit of a drive, we arrived at my house and no one suffocated. PHEW.

We unpacked and my Mom made my lovely birthday dinner consisting of steak tips, mashed potatoes, fruit salad, etc. THANK YOU MOMMY! I love when my Mom cooks, it's my favorite thing.

So after that, we went to go pick up our friends Sean and Alicia! (Alicia is Leasha_Loves_Disney here on Disboards! And she actually played Beth in Little Women!) Sean and Alicia were coincidentally at a friend's beach house 5 minutes away from my house that night, so we invited them over for cake!

We decided to be all cute and take some pictures!

Everyone is preparing for the jump...

JUMPING PICTURE SUCCESS! And only on the 2nd try! (Gotta love the facial expressions. It's a little High School Musical-esque, don't you think?)

Kristen and Alicia had known each other from twitter/having a mutual love for Disney, so it was great that they finally got to meet!

SEAN!!!!! Omg I miss this guy.

We went back inside and it was time for CAKE! For my 19th Birthday, all I wanted was the Tangled Cake from Wegman's. I got it, and it completely exceeded my expectations. It was literally the best looking and best tasting cake I have ever had in my LIFE. I was so happy.

It was 1/2 Vanilla with Lemon filling and 1/2 Marble with Raspberry filling. OMG SO GOOD.

We ate our cake, told tons of stories about school, laughed a lot, and just enjoyed being together. It really made my birthday having all of them over - I'm so glad it all worked out! We also talked about Disney a lot, too! Alicia is doing the DCP in the Fall for Costuming! I'm so excited for her!! I'm sure it's going to be a wonderful experience!

Once we finished, Alicia and Sean had to go back to their friend's house. So we said our goodbyes and then Kristen and I had a mission to complete: IT WAS DISNEY NAILS TIME.

Preston very patiently played some Pokemon on his Nintendo DS while we went to town. He was very impressed with the results!

UM, yeah. Seriously. After I read yall's first TR, I realized that I totally do that all the freakin time. I'm just so glad someone was brilliant enough to come up with a name for it!! And now whenever I do it, I always catch myself and I'm like "oh, that's the deer face." Hahah so thank you. You're welcome. Glory hallelujah.

Prelude Entry #2: Disney Preparations!
May 8th-10th, 2012

TIME FOR THEM TO DRY! RE RE RE.

DO YOU LIKE MY DISNEY SHIRT?!

You would be very proud to know that this lanyard is, in fact, Preston's! He LOVES Disney pins. Seriously. One day he comes down to my dorm room with his Disney pin lanyard to show me, and I just fell for him all over again! We actually did some pin trading before I left because he liked some of the ones I got in my pin lot from ebay. So as you can see, he has so much Disney World loving potential. It's wonderful. Once I get him there I'm sure he'll be a die hard fan.

As I promised, I have pictures of MY BIRTHDAY PRESENT from Preston! It was ALL DISNEY STUFF. He knows me so well. First off he got me these Tangled and Toy Story plates! I would always walk by them and be like "I WANT THESE SO BAD!!" Now I have them!

He got me this wonderful, soft princess blanket! Yayayay! (And look at that AWESOME gift bag!! That made the present even better.)

MUPPET PANTS! I actually bought these for Kristen for her birthday, and he saw how much I liked them, so he got me a pair too!

Here is a group shot of everything! Muppet Pants, Toy Story Cups, a Princess blanket, a Tangled sign, a Mickey Towel, Princess cards, Tangled and Toy Story Plates, Princess posters, Reese's, and Kit Kats. It was the perfect gift for me!! So frumpy!

Thanks Preston!!! Nice half-deer face he's got goin' on there.

I also took a picture of my Tangled rug that I bought at Walmart the week before for only $13!! It was such a good buy. I had to share it with you guys:

Our nails were finally pretty much dry, so it was time to SLEEP. Good night.

For the next two days, Preston and I ran errands, packed, hung out, and were major frumps while we got ready to leave. We always kept Disney movies going, so we watched A Bug's Life, Toy Story 1, 2, and 3, Peter Pan, and Tangled!

We also listened to lots of Disney music and ate leftover Tangled birthday cake with every meal! It was perfect!!

FINALLY at 8:30 pm the night before I finally started seriously packing for the trip. Kristen and I were on and off the phone making sure we had everything we needed! I couldn't believe we were actually going back to Disney together!!! YAYY!

Tangled was our last movie the night before Disney. I PASSED OUT by the time they got to the scene near the campfire/"Mother Knows Best" reprise. Next thing I knew it was 2 am. I really needed to get some sleep! So GOOD NIGHT and see you in the morning - I WAS GOING TO DISNEY TOMORROW!

Yay! I am so elated to see this trip report from you guys! I've read all of them and they're such great entertainment!

I just booked my next trip and when it was actually official, I involuntarily started to cry and then began laughing at myself. My mom was shocked by my reaction so I tried to explain "I'm just being a total frump!" Yeah...that confused her a bit too!

How do you guys manage to find so many other Disney lovers at school/college?! You must have some kind of Disney radar!

That's right! We decided that pretty much right after we decided to do this trip, but we wanted to surprise all of you! Yeah, take that! LOL the froomps. They ain't got a CLUE. ​

I just booked my next trip and when it was actually official, I involuntarily started to cry and then began laughing at myself. My mom was shocked by my reaction so I tried to explain "I'm just being a total frump!" Yeah...that confused her a bit too!

I do that sometimes too! It's just so overwhelmingly fantastic and exciting that laughing/crying are the only way to kind of express that intense emotion. I hear ya! You are definitely a total frump!​

I've been reading your trip posts over the past week and totally subscribing to this one. A friend of mine had the deer face on the other day and I yelled, "DEER FACE! Only the frumps." and my friend just looked at me and shook her head.

Ack, Jess...so sorry that you guys hit a deer! I'm glad that you and Preston are okay (BTW, he sounds like a keeper! ). And I LOL'd when I saw the first picture of him with that raging 'fro. My husband had one just like it in college.

Well thank you! Yeah...we know. It's kind of awesome.

She was so upset and shaken. Preston was calm and collected about it though. They balance each other out very nicely. Hahaha he loves his fro! I think he was sad when he had to cut it.​

How do you guys manage to find so many other Disney lovers at school/college?! You must have some kind of Disney radar!

Love the nails, as usual. I think the Marie and Up! nails are my favorites.

HAHAHA it's funny that you should say that because last summer when Jess was planning on surprising me in August, her mom told her to "be careful, because Kristen has Disney radar and will figure it out if you're not." And it's so true! We really can detect the Disney lovers and haters pretty easily, so we've managed to find ourselves a whole slew of Disney lovin' friends!
