Congrats!
Hi Lady Elle, thank you! :goodvibes

I have to show DH all your "geek" stuff! He'll love it!
Nice to meet a fellow geek mom! :)

Star Wars weekends is definetly on our bucket list
Oh you should absolutely go, my husband and I went before we had kids and we had a blast!

Maybe Santa can get it for DH .
Santa is awesome that way! And Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year! :santa:

So I went for my ultrasound last week. It was slightly unnerving at first. The technician said "Is this your second ultrasound?"
No, my first.
"Why have you not had one before now?"
Well this is the one the doctor scheduled for me.
"And this baby is how old?"
Well, that's why I am here for the dating ultrasound. I wasn't really paying that much attention this time around. I've been distracted by stuff lately.
"I see. Well, this baby is a lot older than your doctor had suggested."
Okay...
"I'm going to do a write up, take this to your doctor and make sure you speak to her before you leave the hospital today."
Right.

I was so distracted with worry that I never even asked to see the little one. I will have to wait until next time.

So I went and waited for my doctor. Turns out the baby is actually 15 weeks and three days today. So due October 27th. And it also turns out that we scootched to the head of the line for the amnio we were supposed to have. It's booked for this Thursday and I am feeling a bit nervous about it. So if you could include us in your prayers for a healthy little mouseketeer I'd really appreciate it!

Congrats on the upcoming new addition. Wow! 15 weeks. Sending prayers to you and your family.

akclayton, daisy and jenny - thank you for all your prayers and best wishes!

That's wonderful news!!! I am so happy to hear HE is healthy! How exciting to know what you are having!! Now the planning REALLY begins!:goodvibes

To all my DIS friends out there who are mums - hope you had a wonderful day today!

We finally told our kids and they were both over the moon! My son is so excited to have a little brother to play with and my daughter is just thrilled to have a real live baby to take care of. We are doing a little baby countdown now (166 days) and they keep coming up to me with wrapped presents of toys they want to give to the baby, as well as birthday cards and mobiles they have made. We spent the weekend planning the nursery and trying to think up names for the young man. I think we are going to call him "Boo" until we finally decide.

Today we went to our parent's house - my father-in-law seemed really pleased that Boo would be born so close to his wife's birthday, I hope it helped him and my husband on their first mother's day without her to have something to look forward to.

My daughter called my niece Friday night and told her and she and my sister brought Boo his first outfit today! The most adorable little five piece monkey set from Carter's. My mum and dad were equally pleased (I was worried about my mum's reaction as she is so sick) so that was lovely too. Anyway, a great weekend all round, filled with lots of love. Hope yours was just as great!

Yesterday I bit the bullet and went to Thyme maternity and bought some capri pants. You know it's time when you can't even get the button's done up on any of your regular pants.

I also ordered a copy of the Oxford Dictionary of First Names. It's time we stopped calling this boy Boo.

We've been planning our first Disney movie nights (my niece will be coming for some of them too). I think we are going to do Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs first (also my favourite of course) with make your own caramel apples and mine a neclace of gems. We are going to do our first one in June so I'll have some fun photos of that soon!

Oh, and I found the cute disneybaby.com site

163 days until baby / 461 days until disney! So excited for both! :goodvibes

Congrats on your little boy! Glad your kids are so excited too.

Your Snow White night sounds like fun...looking forward to seeing pics once you do it!

I love that Disneybaby site too...it could be a little dangerous for us DIS-ers, though! :rotfl:

Thanks Dugette!

My son and husband were sad about missing Star Wars weekend this year so we did a Star Wars movie night first - we watched episode 4 and made Princess Leia cupcakes, a Chewbacca birdfeeder and an AT-AT planter. I got both craft ideas from the fabulous Star Wars Craft Book
I'll update this post shortly with photos, we are just finishing the last coat of paint on the birdfeeder of death as the kids call it.

I finally received the Oxford book of names. I've put a poll up on the first page with our top choices. Let me know which one everyone likes!

Eek! I almost forgot - Happy Towel Day!

The brave dresses are so cute....I have been eyeing them for DD. I booked her for the BBB castle makeover. Hopefully they will have dresses she likes. I may still pick up a dress before we go too. I am so excited to see her made into a priness.

Congratulations! Babies are always such a blessing. And your due date is my husband's birthday and he's just wonderful. :)

kaileighbug - I can't wait to see photos of Kaileigh all dressed up - she will be BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks Austin - I think it will be fun to have Halloween birthday parties - always one of my favourite holidays anyway! My husband dressed up as Shang when my daughter was 6 and went as Mulan. Maybe I could get him to do it again with a small Mushu next year!

We've had a busy week. My mum was in and out of the hospital for most of it so my sister and I have been up a lot to visit her. I'm worried she is not going to make it to the baby. It was her 63rd birthday on the weekend and happily she was at home. I brought her a copy of the ultrasound photo but she didn't really want to see it. My dad took it anyway and tried to make me feel better. Maybe she is dreading not meeting him either and so she does not want to get too excited.

You have a beautiful family and the ultrasound photo  I'm a sucker for babies!

Hoping for the best with your mom.

By the way, with the naming poll, I chose Ewan. I figured since the family is Star Wars fans, why not name him after Obi Wan Kenobi!:yoda:

We've decided to go with Robert Ewan (I think!)
This is a copy of the baby announcement we sent out to our families.
:goodvibes

PS - Thanks for the kind words MinnieLoves Mickey! My husband was actually trying to talk me into Rory on the Doctor Who angle. Geek! ;)

Jumping on board! So glad everything is going well with little your little man! What a fun trip you guys get to plan for!

I'll be praying for your mom!

Joining and subbing in! My DH and I are already talking about our next trip to WDW, since we are planning on buying AP's while we are there in October. So far the idea is to go the third week of August if we can get a decent deal. So we might be there around the same time!

Can't wait to follow along as you plan for the new addition to your family!

Hi Amanda! Thank you sweet girl - we need all the prayers we can get!

Hi Rach! Of course getting an annual pass is the only logical step. It's practically cheaper than the park hopper, PLUS you get discounts on lots of things so it's practically FREE! PLUS since you have the annual pass, it only makes sense that you get your money's worth and go more than once in one year! PLUS, since you are planning a second trip, it only makes sense to stop off while on your Disneymoon and take a look at the DVC booth.
See how I did that there? I'm an old hand at it. ;)
