Fall 2012=Fast moving Friends, Food, Frights, Firsts and Fun with only Females!

Ann, even if you "split up" into two smaller groups, as long as you do a few things together it should be fun!
And I think Kira is a very responsible young lady, so as long as you agree on how many credits are hers, she will run with that.
As for the tickets - I am sure it will work out. People fly in on different times, so they should be used to that. ;)
It's so fun you are planning to trips right now .... and a few more in the planning stages at the back of your head. ;) I just hope that one day our plans overlap and we get to meet in person! :goodvibes

You are entirely right. She is responsible and would never misuse credits. Unlike Alex who had to be told he didn't get a "side" of Doritos with his lunch.

The trip planning is fun. I just need to start laying it out in my PTRs. I am so not sure how you manage so many threads!!!! I am having a hard time keeping on track.

And yes... someday!!! We HAVE to meet in person.

WOW...I have missed a lot on both PTRs (and of course I am really confused) but just sending :) thoughts your way and know in the end it will work out...Kira is more OCD then you?

2 more trips on the horizon...oh you better explain! I know about one of them...

I go to Las Vegas for a week and you start up your new PTR for your upcoming DW trip for Sept. You are surely busy right now. Anyway just wanted to let you know I'm going to be jumping on this PTR report also

Well, if training for the ToT 10 miler goes well then Betsy and I might be planning to go down for the Princess half... and then the our fall trip. So there is where the 2 are. BTW, I think we should all have that princess group in our sigs!!!

Oh Ann, if you were to arrive a day early for the Princess half marathon (that is the February one, isn't it?) then we could meet up then!
We will be at WDW Feb 21 - 23 after our cruise! :thumbsup2

Of course I would try and plan to arrive before because I would need to recover from my travel day... but... if you will be there too :banana: I would DEFINITELY plan to be there early. It would make me so happy. :dance3::dance3: to meet up with you! :goodvibes

Looks like we have a "date" then, Ann! :dance3: :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo: :dance3:

I'm sorry to hear that things have been so frustrating for you lately!!! I'm sure it will all work out fine, as long as everyone is clear on the amount of credits that they get, and how the plan works, then I'm sure nobody will over-use their amount!

:rotfl2: Oh yes... being OCD is what causes my stress in this. Course... I shouldnt worry. Kira is way more OCD than I am... so I am sure whatever she plans will work perfectly. It just isnt MY plan.

She is being reasonable about the dp credits/oop cost. She agrees that OOP will be the way to go for that first day. The last day... now that is a bit more of a debate. Best I can tell... she wants me to forgo my plans since she will not be able to go into a park.. but we will work it out.

and...just fyi... I about died from the "butt hurt" comment. :lmao::lmao: I imagine it was a frustrating situation (kinda had that on my december trip... ended up redoing many an activity cause those who didn't want to get up and follow my plan still wanted to be able to do certain things)
Ha! "Butt hurt" must be some weird AZ slang. Like "wicked'" for east coasters. LOL!

I was just being cranky. I know she is more than competent enough to use her credits wisely. Besides, if she does fly out before I do and thus arrive... she probably won't use any credits that day. I think I was just being overly emotional. ;)

Or maybe west cost.. I know my guys use that phrase a lot to describe anyone being upset by something trivial...or silly.

:woohoo: for another trip...and with a Dis-friend and all your girls, too! Awesome! :thumbsup2 I really enjoyed my girls' trip in April, but that was a little different for many reasons. Anyway, I can totally empathize with the planning hullabaloo. I'm trying to coordinate a trip for myself, my mom, her best friend (and my godmother), and her two adult daughters for just three nights and its not been the easiest. I'm impressed with your running. I may need to try this out this summer. I really would love to become a runner. I mean, how great to have an exercise that's so great for you that you get to do outside, almost anywhere, and don't need more than a pair of good sneakers for? Only...I'm one of those people who just HATES running. Listening to you and Amanda, though, I'm thinking maybe I might want to look into the whole couch to 5K thing, too.

If I can do it, you can do it! Now, granted, I'm only about to reach the halfway point of the program. The great thing about the C25K program is that if there's a week that you struggle with, you just repeat it until you're comfortable with it & then move forward! :thumbsup2

Ya wanna know a secret? I have always been a run hater. In fact, while I have never been all that overweight, I have also never been all that in shape. However, as I get older I am finding it harder to maintain my health. So I guess it is time I put some effort into it. You should try the couch to 5k. I am a firm believer in it or any method that involves a walk/run build. I have not been at this THAT long. I know we booked the trip in March... and it wasn't too long after that I started some training... then I got my phone about a month ago..maybe more and hit it harder. Until I got my phone i was doing less than a minute run time with recovery walk times being equal to the run...or longer. Once I got my phone and started 3 times a week it has quickly progressed. My next run is scheduled to involve 20 minutes of straight running... no recovery walk. I will have a 5 minute warm up and a 5 minute cool down. I hope to make it 2 miles.. but suspect I will not. When I was walking more during my sessions... I was going about 3 miles in the same time. Some how ... stepping up the running has slowed me way down. (I am not sure what I look like, but I am sure I must look like I am moving in slow mo)

I think I am going to be repeating this week. Saturday was a bit much and as I mentioned, tuesday will be running for 20 minutes non stop. We will see... I still am battling a bit of a tummy bug (yes, this is nearly 2 weeks) Course... maybe I am just dehydrated. That may make sense. In any case though... it makes it hard to run... so I think I will not feel comfortable moving on until I "master" this week.

I hope you get to feeling better soon! :goodvibes That's what I like about the C25K program....you can go at your own pace with it.

I can't imagine doing 20minutes of straight running. Sometimes I doubt whether or not I will be able to do this. But, I'm sticking with it! Ed tells me not to worry about my pace. He says the important thing right is just getting out there & completing the workout. Hopefully, I'll be able to complete the C25K program & then be able to work on pace.

After going for a run I feel a little less moooody. :rotfl:

I think chatting with one of my ocd planner friends helped too. Apparently planning for a year for one trip, then planning for another one, and then suddenly another...with yet another 2 on the horizon is a lot of stress. :rotfl:

So I talked with Kira and of course it will all be fine. I understand her perspective. They will sleep better on the plane than they will the night before we fly out. Truth be told, if it works out well (meaning they sleep on the plane)... it is actually a better option. Even if Zoe and I stay at a near by hotel, we will still need to be up by about 3am. Round the time they are flying out...we will need to be going to sleep in order to get up that early. Course, we always do sleep a tad on the plane to make up for the early wake time. I will have to trust that she will check us in fine and that she won't let them put us in a room that I wouldn't be happy with. (doesn't that sound :snooty:  Honestly, there has only been once that I out and out asked if they had a different room that was closer to the main building. In December, Betsy and I asked to have our rooms in the same building when we checked in... but I think that was just us asking to be placed near each other not moved near each other.)

She and Amanda will likely then fly home earlier than we will since Zoe and I will have that last park ticket that I will want to use (even if just to go say good bye to MK :sad2:) This will either mean the morning of 10/4 they will catch DME and then Zoe and I will fly out that afternoon or Zoe and i will check in for a room only somewhere and catch DME first thing the next morning. This depends on the cost of the early evening flight on SW. Right now... it is about $100 higher than the earlier flight. That $200 pays for an extra night. Course... If I had just kept the extra night that I added and then took off, that was $220 more and it included 4 more ts, 4 more cs and 4 more snack credits. However I was thinking that afternoon flight would come down...and the $220 would be "extra"

So it will work. I just need to plan a little differenly

Glad to know all the full long story. Texting out long things is a pain in the butt even with Siri helping. Hopefully it will work out, and you and Kira can both compromise a little. And I'm glad that other OCD planner helped :rolleyes1

What Ann PTR would not be complete without affecting both rooms with flight drama. :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Well, once Shelly, Kaylani, and myself knew we were going and nailed down the dates, I used some points left over to buy my flight down and back. $130 each way on SW. Then my cousin decided to join. Well this added another airport we could leave from and I had found flights when we went for $99 each way! Flying down from her airport was much less expensive then the three options by us, so we had decided to fly out from CT and Shelly and Kaylani would fly back to Boston and I'd fly with my cousin to CT and drive back. The reason we didn't all fly out of Boston and have her fly out of CT is that the $130 flight I bought was now $240 leaving.

So I cancelled my flight to and from Boston with early bird seating and bought all of our flights down to MCO from CT with only being 500 points shy. Totally worth the 2000 point to be bought.:woohoo: We're getting down to Disney! :woohoo: I'm expecting a bunch of points to be directly added to my account from antoher credit card and while waiting the flight back from CT is at $275 while the flights I was originally booked on dropped from $240 to $140. :headache: One set of points hit my account this weekend and I moved all of us from flying out of CT to flying out of Boston. And another set of points hit today, which was enough to cover my flight back :headache::headache: (I should have kept my orginal flight):headache::headache: And I had to buy another $125 worth of points to get my cousin's flight back which was listed at $160. I texted Shelly and let her know I don't have enough points for her flight back and to buy those points would cost more than buying the flights direct.

Thank you Ann for the flight drama from Room #2.

For anyone who doesn't stalk the Budget Board thread:

Stop and Shop is running a deal that started on the 8th until the 21st (at least that's the the signs in mine says). Buy a $50 gift card, get $10 off your next shopping trip. No where on the $10 for your next shopping tirp does it say you can't use it for another gift card. So check out with each gift card separately, get another $10 coupon and use it on the next gift card. Once you pay the original $50 on the first, every additional card is 20% off basically. Plus if you have Chase Freedom you get 5% cashback up to the $1500 limit. So if I buy enough gift cards, I'll be able to pay off my half of the room balance and save an addition 20% off the Disney prices because I'm paying it off with these gift cards! :cool1::banana::yay::cool1::banana::yay:

I guess Shop Rite, Giant, and one other store has a deal like this right now, but not all will let you buy multiple cards per day or use the coupon for the next gift card.

You will get there! I worry too though... sometimes I think I will for sure get swept. Betsy pretty much pointed out to me though... even it we do... we still will have a good time. We get to spend time together and we get a medal AND if swept that is just that much sooner we get to the villians bash. ;)

:thumbsup2 You did.

It will be crazy! WDW had better be prepared for the lot of us.

I should snag it, shouldn't I!

What an awesome deal. I was just happy to buy a bunch of giftcards from Target. My deal wasn't nearly as good as yours and I didn't buy enough to pay the entire trip. However, $46 for a $50 gift card and using my disney visa to pay gave me a bit of a deal. I bought 13 cards (value of $650) came to $598. Then we will just say 6 dollars on my disney rewards card (even though it was a bit less since it was $598 instead of $600) So for me I got about $58 free monies. :woohoo:

Between this trip and the DLR... is it clear the sole reason I work is to pay Disney? :rotfl2: I should just join the two PTRs together and title it "its official, I work for Disney"

I like the way you think! :thumbsup2

My only comforting thought is that if I can't run a 5K, I do know for sure that I can walk it within the time allotted. But, my goal is to run it.
