I downloaded all the apple updates suggested by my computer and now my itunes cannot connect with my network for some reason. My internet service is fine, I can go anywhere on the web. But, I can't get there through my itunes account.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I tried downlaoding the latest version of itunes again but that did not solve the problem.

Please help! :badpc:

i have been getting an "Cannot Connect to Itunes" error for the last two days myself. it may not be you.

try going to the apple site and re downloading iTunes. It should fix any isues you are having.

That's the first thing I tried and it did not work. Now I am at a complete loss of what to do! And we are leaving town for 2 weeks in just a few days so I am about to reach panic mode. I really need to load up my ipod with podacsts! Yikes! :scared1: Maybe this is a good time to back away from the ipod and admit my addiction lol!

If you have the space on your hard drive you may want to make a copy of the folder labeled Music in the itunes folder.

Don't laugh but I must ask details on how to do this. "Reboot" is the extent of my techinical knowledge.

I do have a folder on my hard drive labeled itunes. But the music in the folder looks like it has not been updated with all my latest songs saved there. How do I do this?

Thanks for your patience!

I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and still no connection! Bummer.

And I checked their "support" and no such subject appears.

I need my podcast for the 40 hours of car travel over the next 2 weeks. Yikes!

Were the updates to your computer or to your iPod? If your iPod, see if you have a recent backup in iTunes (prior to the update) to restore to. If the updates were to iTunes, what operating system are you running on your PC? If XP, Vista or 7, you should be able to restore to a set point from before you updated iTunes. Then try reinstalling the updates at a later date when it doesn't matter so much.

800-APL-CARE (800-275-2273) It may cost you.

Here's an article that *might* help. It's hard to say because you haven't given any details of what exactly is happening or what kind of system you're using, or what type of iPod you have....
