what souvenirs are on your 'must buy' list for your next visit?

I bought a Victorian Mickey and Minnie for the tree last year. I love the Victorian theme. And my BFF bought me an Ariel one when she went at Christmas time. I love it.

I really want to collect the Jim Shore ornaments. I think they're gorgeous. Just a bit pricey though.

I find the prices of most of the Jim Shore pieces quite reasonable at DL, but the ones I have seen here (in a jewellery store and a fancy toy shop in Sydney) are ridiculously expensive, usually 2 to 3 times the price.

Yeah they are so pricey here. I bought a piece last year at WDW and my brother and SIL gave me a sweet Minnie and Mickey holding the American flag for my 40th.

My SIL collects the Swarovski crystal pieces. Now those are expensive, but they are really gorgeous. Just a bit (ok a lot) out of my price range though..

i also used to collect swarovski crystal. they are pretty $$$ but so pretty

Wish list includes:
-Kitchen stuff, specifically from the Color Fusion range and Best of Mickey range
-The Mornings coffee mug set (Mickey, Minnie, Tigger & Tink)
-Jim Shore figurines (Already have two, need to expand the collection )
-A bling Minnie iPhone cover
-Christmas decorations
-Mickey and Minnie toys dressed up for Halloween and Christmas
-A large Snowglobe (I've been dying for one since I was about 4 and saw one in the Disney Store in Parramatta Westfields )
-Clue board game Tower of Terror edition
-Ear hats
-Name art (one for my bedroom and one for my future classroom!)
-A few stuffed Disney characters to act as my class mascots
-Disney magnets
-Anything else I think would work in a primary classroom

And anything else I lay my eyes on and love

re: the snowglobe. i saw some amazing globes on our last trip, but i was really concerned about sending them home in the luggage, as you can't carry them on.

i can't wait to read your TR, sounds like you have such an interesting trip planned.

snow globes are not allowed on as carry on, so your only choice is either ship it home $$$$$$$$$$ or risk it in your checked luggage.....

A one of a kind Minnie Mouse watch with the original artists work. I wanted to get one on our last trip but at $500.00.............. Now, however, knowing how much I desperately want one, I have been putting aside my daily coffee money for 6 months, so I have enough to cover it.

I just take coffee from home to work now ( in my Disneyland souvenir mug of course )

( $4.00 per day for 5 days a week = $20.00 a week on coffee! ) I really couldn't believe it until I saw it on paper! Something so little over time can add up to so much!!!

The DD and I have been saving madly and giving up stuff so we can have a wonderful time shopping at our favourite place on earth

Yeah I'm uneasy about the snowglobe but I want one so bad! I think if I pack correctly and do not open the box when I buy it it should be alright...but I think I'll price shipping it home aswell and decide from there. Why must they make it hard for us Aussies, just build a DL here already

Yep! Not one of the really big ones, but one that was big enough for it to come boxed. It was very well protected by the styrofoam and made it back with no problems. I’ve also brought back a few of the small snowglobes wrapped only in tissue paper in checked luggage without a problem, as well as a Gallery of Light and the Main Street Electrical Parade miniatures- they survived SNA-LAS, LAS-HNL, HNL-SYD, SYD-MEL with no damage. Boxed Disney collectables tend to be very well packaged, so as long as you pack them with care I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Ahhh thank you for alleviating my fears! I figured they'd be well protected in the boxes because my Jim Shore figures came well packed in styrofoam. We only need to get from LAX to SYD

If I get really paranoid I'll go off to a craft store and buy bubble wrap ect for anything that I don't think is well protected. I'd love to check out that Michael's craft store that seem to be better then Spotlight when you read some posts on this board!

I have a list a mile long but at the very tip top are some Of the cutest sunglasses that I have seen in a while. They are just the brown glass and frame with a gold Mickey on the side. A friend of mine got them at Disney during Spring break and I must have a pair! She said she found them in the shop across from Space Mountain.

I love the beach towels

Love the kitchen things, from cups, towels, dishes, cookie cutters, you name it.

DD has brought a few home in checked luggage without any probs. Just pack really well, then in a ziplock bag just in case it does break, then in a hotel towel (ah-hum) for extra protection, just in case. It's her bedside table that they don't survive on.

I've budgeted to buy a third suitcase over there and to pay the extra to have it on the flight home I figure $100 US (with Virgin Australia) for a third bag plus $40ish US for a suitcase (from Walmat or Target) is a bargin to have 23kg extra coming home! As it is I'm planning on packing my smaller suitcase and packing it inside my larger one, so I'l have two empty suitcases to fill with my souvienirs

It's also a tradition to buy the Mickey ginger bread kit. It tastes and smells like Disneyland
