Bring on the food- but hold the wine!

Welcome to my PTR- all about our upcoming adventures to Disney during the Food and Wine festival and Epcot's 30th Birthday!

The idea for this trip started 5 years ago, when I missed Epcot's 25th anniversary. I really could have gone, I was living in Florida, I had a very flexible job, and my DH was out on military exercises and wasn't around anyway. Well, I didn't go, and I'm still kicking myself for missing it!

After I came to my senses, I made a pact with myself that I would be there for Epcot's 30th- nothing was going to stop me, not time, not distance, not even a surprise pregnancy??? :upsidedow

Months and months ago I began planning this trip, I bought plan tickets, I made room reservations, I drew up itineraries and made ADRs, I dreamed of the frozen mojitos and the craft beer kiosk, I begged my two year old to eat his veggies so he would hit the magical 40 inch mark-

and then a few weeks ago we got a big surprise- in the form of a positive pregnancy test! :yay:

Well, scratch I guess I can scratch the mojitos and the craft beer off the list, and I guess my two year old can have a pass on the vegetables, because no Thunder Mountain for me-

but you do know what this means right?

I can eat around the world for two! :woohoo::rotfl2:

So welcome aboard the crazy train- plus one extra passenger! This trip is going to be a little different than I initially visualized, but I know we're going to have a blast. Hopefully some of you will join me for the planning and considerations that go into doing WDW pregnant and with a toddler.

Up next- I'll do a thorough introduction of myself (pregnant mama),

Mr. Crazypants- my 2 year old DS who makes the Energizer bunny look winded

and Ga-Gae- Super-Mom and Grammy extraordinaire!

I'll follow!! Also going this fall but not in time for the 30th.

Can't wait to hear more about your plans! Congrats on the pregnancy! Too funny on your son no longer needing to eat his veggies!

I'm in... always ready to read one of your PTR/TR's. I'm sure this will be a great trip. I like your idea about eating around the world for 2. :lmao::rotfl2:

Hmmm... sounds very familiar.:rolleyes1

Congrats on the pregnancy!

Count me in! We have a toddler (about the same age as yours). We have two potential Disney trips for next year. Plus, we plan on starting to try for Baby#2 at the beginning of next year. So it is very possible that I could be going to Disney pregnant myself!

I'm in! Can't wait to hear about all of your plans.

Eating for 2 during Food and Wine? I'd pretend to be pregnant to have such a great excuse! :lmao: How Awesome!!!

Love Everett's name for his grandma, I'm assuming that she doesn't wear dresses made of meat? ;)

Totally signing up for this one! New to the boards but loving all the reading and learning!
And I really like the idea of eating around the world for two....I'm not pregnant, but I may try the idea! :yay: Congrats on the positive test results...Hubby and I are hoping for one of those soon!

Joining in, we'll be at Epcot for the 30th too. Hope they have something special planned.

He hates eating veggies anyway, so I think he is secretly thrilled! :rotfl:

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Now, on with the PTR!!!:goodvibes

Thanks! and thanks for reading along!

Yup, little boys! If only I had half his energy, oh the things I would get accomplished!

Congrats on the pregnancy!

Yay! When are you guys going to Disney next year? We already are planning for April 2013 (for my Dad's 60th birthday) and then again in Oct 2013. Maybe we'll also do a short trip for the Christmas decorations, but we'll see. Good luck on trying for #2! Its always exciting to see more DIS babies!

Yeah, no dresses made of meat ;) She was supposed to be Grammy, but somehow Everett mangled it into Ga-Gae and it has stuck! :rotfl2:

Yup, eating for two, so you'll have to promise not to judge when I'm wolfing down two of those molten lava cakes from Ireland, heck, they're pretty small, maybe I'll have four! :lmao:

Yay, good luck! and welcome to the DIS! I hope my PTRs/TRs are a little informative, but if not, I hope you have fun hanging out with us!

I'll be here to follow along. Congrats again!!

Yay! Always good to see a familiar face! :goodvibes Thanks for reading!

Congrats again!

Following as always! :cool1:

Great to have you back! I've never done a PTR before, so I'm so happy to see that some people are actually interested in following my crazy ramblings! :lmao:

Joining in, we'll be at Epcot for the 30th too. Hope they have something special planned.

Have you checked out WDW celebrations? They have opened registration for their event and have a preliminary itinerary. I think I'm just going to attend the events on the 1st (since I'll be concentration on Everett the rest of the days- but my Mom is going to take him for that day), but they have a whole weekend plan. I hope more stuff is announced for the day of, but what I'm really exited for is limited edition pins! Maybe its a good thing DH is not going to be around, he'd have a fit when he saw how much I'm planning to spend! ;):rotfl2:

Joining in!!! Congratulations again!!! Your new baby is going to be an Epcot expert before even being born!!! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

Congrats again!

You know I'm always ready to read one of your reports! :thumbsup2

Eating for 2 around the World Showcase kiosks? :cloud9: Sadly, I usually don't need an excuse to eat like I'm eating for 2. :lmao:

Your comment about the Energizer bunny made me :rotfl2: Reid is the same way!

I can't wait to hear y'alls plans. It'll be interesting to see if we have plans to be in some of the same parks on the same day. :goodvibes

I've read your TR's in the past and I am in for this as well.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!

It would be May 2013 with my side of the family- 8 total with DS being the only child. And then Late August 2013 with a close family friends- 4 adults and 3 munkins (all under 5!).

I think both of those trips are going to have to be very laid back- both due to the number of people and due to newcomers and kiddos. So I am thinking that it won't be that bad if I am pregnant for one or both since I don't picture much rushing around!

I'm here! I'm here! Ready to follow along on this trip planning.

Eating around the World for 2 sounds FANTASTIC!! :rotfl: I'm marking that on my list of to-do's while pregnant with #2 in hopefully a couple more years.

How exciting to be spending Epcot's 30th birthday at the actual park. Sounds like a lot of fun. I was pregnant when I went on my trip in 2009, but since I didn't find out until after the trip I guess that doesn't count.:lmao:

Can't wait to hear all about your trip since my next one will not be until the end of next May.:)
