Bring on the food- but hold the wine!
Welcome to my PTR- all about our upcoming adventures to Disney during the Food and Wine festival and Epcot's 30th Birthday!
The idea for this trip started 5 years ago, when I missed Epcot's 25th anniversary. I really could have gone, I was living in Florida, I had a very flexible job, and my DH was out on military exercises and wasn't around anyway. Well, I didn't go, and I'm still kicking myself for missing it!
After I came to my senses, I made a pact with myself that I would be there for Epcot's 30th- nothing was going to stop me, not time, not distance, not even a surprise pregnancy???
Months and months ago I began planning this trip, I bought plan tickets, I made room reservations, I drew up itineraries and made ADRs, I dreamed of the frozen mojitos and the craft beer kiosk, I begged my two year old to eat his veggies so he would hit the magical 40 inch mark-
and then a few weeks ago we got a big surprise- in the form of a positive pregnancy test!
Well, scratch I guess I can scratch the mojitos and the craft beer off the list, and I guess my two year old can have a pass on the vegetables, because no Thunder Mountain for me-
but you do know what this means right?
I can eat around the world for two!
So welcome aboard the crazy train- plus one extra passenger! This trip is going to be a little different than I initially visualized, but I know we're going to have a blast. Hopefully some of you will join me for the planning and considerations that go into doing WDW pregnant and with a toddler.
Up next- I'll do a thorough introduction of myself (pregnant mama),
Mr. Crazypants- my 2 year old DS who makes the Energizer bunny look winded
and Ga-Gae- Super-Mom and Grammy extraordinaire!
