in 6 days we will be checking in!!

I can attest to the delay in MM. We got our travel docs two weeks before our ME docs...and those ME docs JUST came last week! talk about freaking me out

Oh Yeah, I would be freaking out also. But at least everything arrived in time. Hope you have a wonderful trip.:flower3:

My DH just came back from the PO and my Mickey Mail was there for our first part of our trip which had a shipping address issue.:cool1: OMG the luggage tags are awesome 3D ones. Now our BLT/CR Mickey Mail will hopefully be here shortly. I am so super excited.

We are the opposite. We check into CR in 20 days and we have our ME stuff but nothing from the resort stuff (and no fun luggage tags yet). We are also doing a split stay with BC and have not received anything from that trip either. I called Disney and she said they were printed on May 5th but that if we do not have them next week she will have them redone and left at the resort for us :confused3 I just want my Mickey Mail!

Sounds awesome!! Looks like you have a few trips planned! I'm super jealous!! I am a huge fan of the monorail as well. I've been begging my husband to get me the car window sticker that says "my other vehicle is a monorial"

As far as the "one night is more than our mortgage", I would just reply back "yeah, but the CR is soooo much cooler than our house" (this is the point where my husband would just shake his head and walk away) ;)

LOL! I want one of those "My other car is a doom buggy" stickers, so I need one that says "My other, other car is a monorail!"
My 3 year old's favorite thing is to ride the monorail (or mamorail, as he says), so I'm sure we will spend a large portion of our day riding it around!

We do have a few trips planned. We got annual passes! I'm very excited and so grateful to my hubby. He is so sweet to let us do this, even if he does stress about the money from time to time!

I just booked CR for our last night for our October trip! So excited! It's our first deluxe! My DH can't understand my fascination with staying there (plus the whole "one night is more than our mortgage" thing. LOL!), but one of my first WDW memories is riding the monorail through the resort and thinking it was the coolest thing ever!
We have a theme park view and will get to watch the Halloween fireworks from our balcony! I'm so excited!

So funny! We just booked CR BLT one bedroom yesterday for hubby, myself and teen daughters for 3 nights during our regular winter break visit to my folks in FL. No way would hubby have gone for that price ( did I mention it was winter break..peak season:scared1:) except that DD 1 graduates next year and this will probably be our last trip to WDW for a while because no one will have the same vacation breaks. So we are going for it! We usually stay deluxe, but we havent stayed in MR resort since our honeymoon 25 years ago! And I have that same noatalgic feeling about staying there... So we are in!

Hope you enjoy your trip!

For others...I'm not a WDW newbie, but I have no idea what Mickey Mail is?:confused3 Now, admittedly we stayed at the "park that must not be named" 2 years ago and 2 years before that we stayed in a Ft Wilderness cabin ( another nostalgic trip for us; went with my folks and we always used to camp there as kids!), but no Mickey Mail then...anyone want to enlightenten me? TIA!

Ooh! I want the doombuggy sticker! The Haunted Mansion is my hub's favorite ride! Fourtunately, my parents are going this trip so they can watch the babies in the group and we can ride it!!

We will be at the Contemporary in 30 days and I received our luggage tags three days ago. Hope you all recieve yours soon :)

Mickey Mail is your hard copy documentation for your trip which Disney normally sends out anywhere from 15-30 days before your trip. It includes really cool luggage tags (3D), vouchers, it tells you what's included like Dining Plan, Park Tickets, Resort. Things of this nature. I like Mickey Mail because it makes your trip a reality now. I hope that makes sense.:lmao:

Do you still get Mickey mail with a room only? We are doing the yes program so no magic your way for us.

30 days left! :cool1:

Sure I get this! We call it the doc dance on Cruise critic; they day you get our docs and luggage tags!

I'm wondering this too, we are room only, will be arriving in a rental car, so no tags for ME, and no tix or dining plan. I am looking forward to getting my ABD package any day now! Now those are cool, lots of neat stupid in that box;)

When you book a package through CRO/WDTC/Disney Destinations, about 30 days prior to arrival they will send an envelope with your confirmation and hard, plastic luggage tags. Sometimes packages also include a discount voucher.

If you have a room-only reservation, you will not receive luggage tags except for DME, if applicable.

Sometimes with a RO booking you will also receive a Disney Destinations booking confirmation. This is usually in lieu of an email confirmation or can be in addition to one if the CM has checked the box requesting that a hard copy confirmation be sent to the guest. Sometimes the CM accidentally checks the hard copy request box instead of the email confirmation box. But you can always call them and re-request that an email confirmation be sent. You can also always view your booking online in the "My Disney Vacation" tab on the WDW site.

I booked a package with AAA for my next trip. It is my first time not to book through WDW. Does anyone know if I will get Mickey Mail? I sure love those luggage tags.

Thanks for that info! I'm thinking that everything will likely be routed through my TA. I guess no matter what gets sent I get to spend 3 days of my vacation in WDW:love:

When I called and asked I was told my stuff was printed on the 5th as well. I think there must have been a bit of a glich in their system, because I was on the June thread yesterday and a TON of people got their mickey mail yesterday (myself included, wahoo!!). Anyway, it was people who were leaving in a month to people leaving in a week, so I wonder if they had some sort of backlog or something. Either way, it should be comming soon!! I will send some pixie dust your way!pixiedust:

Ok this is what I am feeling inside right now.

:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

Our Mickey Mail arrived for our BLT stay. OMG I can't contain myself. Only 33 more days. Now I have my Mickey Mail for both of our resort stays.:cool1:

We are thinking about going to DW and staying in the CR over Christmas... We have always enjoyed the WL, but wanted to change it up a bit. How is the CR durning the holidays?

If your TA is adding anything you are right, they may have it routed through them so they can (a) verify everything for you & (b) add in any extras they have given you.

Great thread, everyone! So much info! But even though I've read 30+ pages, I have a question. Hopefully it hasn't been answered in the other 70 pages! ;)

We'll arrive at BLT on June 10 - 12 days! :cheer2: - and want to call and make a room request. While BLT is one of our home resorts, this will be our first stay, so I'd like your input. Probably our first priority is convenience. We'd like to be near the elevator closest to the walkway and also have easy access to the pool. Is this even possible? We have a Lake View 2-bedroom reserved. I realize that higher floors give the "best" views, but that probably isn't our first priority since we're lake view instead of TPV.

Thanks for your thoughts! :flower3:

Welcome to the thread! While WL is our overall favorite resort, CR is a close second so I can understand your dilemma. In 2010, I couldn't decide between the two for Christmas, so we stayed at both and we're staying at both again in August. Have you thought about doing the same split? We did CR first and then WL last, with more nights at WL. All the resorts are magical at Christmas, and the CR is no exception and it's just a walkway away from the MK which is amazing at Christmas - really gets you in the spirit:santa:

Welcome! I bet you're excited about your first BLT stay. There is a great BLT/DVC thread that has all the BLT room numbers and their views on the first page. I think that would be a great place to start! There are also many room view photos there:
