My favorite time of the year! We skipped last year to go to WDW for Christmas so we are really looking forward to 10 days of food and wine this year! Let the countdown begin.

I know what you mean! We skipped the festival in 2009 to go for my partner's 30th in January 2010. I don't ever want to do that again. I'm counting the days 'til our Halloween arrival this year.

Got bounce back while there for Star Wars Wknds. I am so excited to be going this year to the festival.

I believe the schedule of special events comes out in August? Can anyone confirm that?

Nobody can confirm exactly when the list will be released.

Last year it came out in bits before it was officially released. Keep an eye on the links in the first post.

The first booking date for events has generally been in August.

So long to wait...

For those starting to make plans now, I heard that 10/28 might be the date for the V&A dinner this year. FF's might be 11/1.

This should be treated as unconfirmed/unsubstantiated rumor at best.

I'm so excited, this is our first food and wine festival. I wish we could go when Hanson was playing, yes they are my favorite band :rotfl2: but I can't help when my husbands fall break falls.

Over 12 trips to Disney and this is our FIRST Food and Wine trip!!! I am soooo excited. It will also be my birthday on September 30th. We will only have the first three days of the festival and I hear weekends are very crowded especialy te first weekend but I dont care I will be there!!! We are saving all our snack credits for 10 nights of free dining!:thumbsup2 Hope to get some great tips on this thread:woohoo:

I'm almost confirmed on getting a kid free F&W trip this year!!!! DH has a union conference in October in Orlando and as long as I don't defy odds and get into nursing school this fall (its via lottery with a typical 3-5 year waiting period) then I'm tagging along!

Yay! I've been stalking this board for days waiting to see this thread start. This is the official kick off to my annual F&W festival trip.

Yay, the thread I've been waiting for! We did not luck out with bands for the dates we are there. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to spend my time noshing.

I'm so excited to be going to the F&W this November!! I gather it's all it's cracked up to be or everyone wouldn't be so happy to see this thread! I noticed that during my stay there are extra magic hours on a weekday night until midnight. Do any of you know if the booths tend to stay open during nighttime extra magic hours? If I can avoid the weekend, I'd rather cram it into the weekdays with fewer crowds...

Sooooo happy to see this thread! We love F&W and cant wait to go again this year. Looking forward to the marketplace booths listings!

We just found out we were expecting  So no wine for me  but my husband did ask if we needed to put more money on the gift card since I will be eating with no regards :rotfl:

We will be there for it's first day!! We have never been so I can't wait to hear more about it!:cool1:

Hurray! I have been waiting for this thread. We are taking my one son and his girlfriend down for his 21st birthday :cool1:
