Stop staring at me Phil! A Vinylmation stalking(with a side of *sparkle*)9/19 TR END!

I love reading about your Halloween trip to Disney! Take all the time you need to finish it... it's helping me prepare for my upcoming trip. :goodvibes

I love your Trick or Treat shirt and Tim's shirt is great as well! Andddd his face is absolutely priceless in the pics where Ariel is telling her travel story!

Yay for Captain Cooks! One of my favorite places ever (that and Kona). Although I'm not a huge fan of Tonga Toast. Too sweet for me I guess. Weird, since I love bananas and french toast :confused3

Love Tim's face as he is listening to Ariel....too cute! We didn't meet any "face characters" in Feb, so that is a major priority this next trip. I wasn't sure how my son would react to them talking to him, but this trip will be just adults, so we can have a little fun with them.

So, you can get tonga toast at the regular quick service at the Poly???

Eck, I would have totally walked away at the eye rolling.

I love all of your pictures, especially the ones with Ariel! :cool1: Belle is my favorite princess too, in fact, I named one of my cats after her!

I like Aurora, but I can't believe she was rolling her eyes and cracking her neck, that's just gross. I bet if you complained to someone about her, that poor girl would be fired, or at the very least, demoted to a non-character position or something! :rotfl:

Stop by my new TR when you have a chance! :cool1:

Thank you for the update on the trip. Love all the pictures. Looks like it was a great trip.

Ugh, eyerolling? That's so un-Disney Princesslike. I can't stand that, I agree.

Um, I love Tim's shirt, Mickey has no reason to dislike it. ;)

Tim has something against Aurora as it is, so that did it for him :rotfl: though she was nice once we talked to her!!

I reassured Mickey I had his back with my Mickey and Minnie shirt :goodvibes

I love that you visited the Princesses and Mickey/Minnie! That's awesome! Belle is my fave, too.

Amanda

Had to say hello to the head mouse of course :thumbsup2

One of these days, I'll finally get over to the poly for breakfast and try some of that raved about Tonga toast.

Looks like some nice character meets, even if Aurora was being slightly less than professional.

I like the trick or treat Mickey and Minnie shirt.

I LOVED it, Tim didn't so much, but I cannot remember what he ate instead

She wasn't so bad once we talked to her, I think she just need a breather or something at that point (or maybe we made it obvious she's not our favorite :rotfl:)

I think Halloween time is one of my favorite at WDW, especially MK. Of course Christmas time ties it :rotfl: The MNSSHP is a must do!!

Tim didn't enjoy the Tonga Toast either, I think the warm banana grossed him out :rotfl:

I think Tim should have been an actor instead of a social worker, because he really has the best facial expressions :thumbsup2

Eck, I would have totally walked away at the eye rolling.

You sure can!! it doesn't come with any side items like it does at the full service restaurants, but still sooo yummy!!

Aww thats a great name for a cat :thumbsup2
Ariel was cracking us up, I wish I could remember exactly what she was saying

Since she's our least favorite princess it didnt bother us too much, now if that was Belle I would have been sad!!! I haven't been on the DIS at all lately...I am off to find your new TR asap!! :goodvibes

Thank you for the update on the trip. Love all the pictures. Looks like it was a great trip.

Thank you :goodvibes

Subbing! I live in RVA too! Can't wait to read it all. I plan to try trading the Vinylmations for the first time when we go in August!!

How cool I am so happy to have a fellow RVA Disney fan aboard!! :goodvibes
Trading vinylmations is so much fun, warning its addiciting!!

We ran into the fun little shake it, celebrate it parade and stopped for a second to watch

SAM_0603.jpg

SAM_0604.jpg

We headed over to hit the Jungle Cruise and my very first time going to the Tiki Birds attraction

SAM_0605.jpg

We made our way around to hit Fantasyland attractions before it was too packed. It seemed much busier this day than it had been during the week so far. We made sure to ride the Snow White ride just in case we didn’t get back to it before it was taken out. I wish we had found time to ride Dumbo, because now of course its moved to its new location, it would have been fun to ride one last time in that location.

At this point in the day I was STARVING…I get a little over dramatic when hungry…just a little! We walked by a few places but weren’t finding anything we really wanted…is it just me or does MK need some different options food wise? Maybe it’s just me…we settled on Cosmic Rays and headed that way
When we walked in it was a MAD HOUSE!! Every table was filled up; people were hovering over others waiting for them to get up to take their table. There were people eating outside of the restaurant on the curb. Tim does not panic in crowds and he would have been fine having a meal there. I have never been during a summer or holiday like he has, so for me this was the most insane I have ever seen this place. I had a mini panic attack and had to leave. I felt so bad, because we were so hungry, but I couldn’t do it. We actually found Plaza and put our name down for a table. We waited about 10 minutes and were sat. The food was really yummy here and we had a great view from our table…

SAM_0606.jpg

The only problem and it was a huge problem was the service, we waited forever for our food, had to flag other people down to get a refill, etc. I think that tainted our image of the meal, I didn’t even take pictures of our food…I know I got some sort of club sandwich and it was so delicious

As we were leaving, we were lucky to catch some of the afternoon parade. I only snapped one picture, but Beauty and the Beast is my favorite and I think Beast was pointing at me :rotfl:

SAM_0607.jpg

After our lunch, we made our way through Tomorrowland. The poor Buzz lightyear ride vehicles really need a serious refurb…they look so worn down

At Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Tim was chosen to be the “guy who suddenly gets the urge to dance” and he did a great job!

We made sure to indulge in a Dole whip

SAM_0609.jpg

And relax a little, since we had seen so much at MK during our first day, we weren’t in such a rush this time

We even rode the train around the park a few times without getting off

Since I have been taking forever to write this, most of these pictures of construction are a little old :lmao:

I cannot for the life of me remember what we did for dinner…I am thinking Pecos Bills counter service, because we didn’t do a table service meal that day

We stayed for the Electrical Parade, one of Tim’s favorite memories from being a kid at Disney…couldn’t say no to that. We had to wait in a huge crowd for semi good views and at the last minute this family comes up behind us. They were loudly apologizing to their children who couldn’t see because we were in the way…we didn’t move of course, we had been there for 30 minutes waiting plus we were so packed in I couldnt move if I wanted to. At some point the dad from the family behind us was yelling about Puff the magic dragon and other characters he couldn't identify correctly :rotfl: It made us laugh

I don’t have a great camera, so I didn’t even bother trying to get a picture of Wishes, but we stayed to watch and loved it as usual

SAM_0631.jpg

We were both EXHAUSTED by this point…we had literally spent all day in MK without a break back at the hotel or anything...time for bed…plus our rest day was up next!

Great update!

Too bad about the service. That can always ruin a meal, regardless of how phenomenal the food is.

I just LOVE riding around on the train. Haven't done it at WDW yet, but plan on doing so with little one in tow in December. It's just so peaceful and nice to get off your feet for a while. I think you appreciate it more when you're older and can enjoy the sights around you without having to walk, unlike when you're a kid, you're always trying to get on the next big ride.

I LOVE the Electrical Parade!!! :yay: Very cool that you guys got to see it! It always brings back my childhood memories too...such a classic!

Any good trading advice?? I think my DD6 is going to get addicted to it. She's already way into the pin trading!! Glad to see more RVA Disney lovers on here too! I don't feel so alone now. :goodvibes

I LOVE my steak still rare, but this was still VERY rare for me so my only regret is that. Otherwise both of our meals were just delicious! It was worth the price and wait and I would definitely go again. It was very yummy!

SAM_0566.jpg

My husband likes his meat basically mooing still :rotfl2:. He'll be happy to hear they cook it very rare since we'll be eating lunch there in August!

Looks like a pretty relaxed day overall, except Cosmic Ray's. But any day with a Dole Whip is a good day. :thumbsup2

We agreed we would go back and give it another shot sometime, maybe the service will be better!

I loved feeling relaxed and having the time to just enjoy the train ride :thumbsup2 It was so nice to just sit down and see the different parts of the park. I agree you enjoy that much more the older you are, as a kid I would have been itching to get off :rotfl:

I LOVE the Electrical Parade!!! :yay: Very cool that you guys got to see it! It always brings back my childhood memories too...such a classic!

The music to the parade is great, it always makes me smile!! I was glad we were able to catch it

Make sure to check with the CM about the rules before you agree to trade. Some are much more laid back than others, they will show you the ones in the blind box and let you turn down the trade. Some make you hand over your current vinylmation before they give you the new one. I didnt like the strict ones :rotfl:

We might have to do a local Dis meet or something!!

My husband likes his meat basically mooing still :rotfl2:. He'll be happy to hear they cook it very rare since we'll be eating lunch there in August!

the food at Le Cellier was sooo good! be prepared to be full!

Great update!! Fun day at MK:cool1:

Thanks :goodvibes

It was a great day!! :goodvibes I agree any day with a Dole Whip is good! We still joke about my "moment" at Cosmic Rays :rotfl: I went into full panic inside the restaurant, but once I was outside it was all good!

Thursday (the 5th day of vacation) was designated as a rest day and boy did we need one!! We slept in late, if that’s even possible for Tim. Neither of us are necessarily morning people, but at Disney it’s much easier to get up!! We had breakfast at POP and took our time making our way over to DTD for some shopping.
I couldn’t find anyone to take our picture together, so we have two separate shots.

SAM_0636.jpg

SAM_0637.jpg

So you may see our shirts..I think I explained in my PTR but if not and since that’s so far away I’ll explain again.

On our third or fourth date Tim and I went out to eat at lunch time at a very busy restaurant. When they asked our name for the wait list he said “humperdink”. I was mortified. Normally I have a great sense of humor, but we were still getting to know each other. Needless to say that is not his last name, but he said it was a lot easier to hear when called out. I laugh about it now, because it’s pretty funny and because why did I think the hostess was going to call us out for lying…I’m crazy!! Tim’s parents made us shirts that say “Humperdink family reunion” with a pink flamingo, his mom’s favorite animal. We proudly wore them to DTD and Tim was even asked by a CM if he was related to Engelbert Humperdinck which of course made us laugh

We did plenty of Vinylmation purchasing and trading at DTD, I think that was our favorite area for the trading. I am sure we saw our buddy Phil a few more times, but we had already decided at that point to keep one Phil and maybe he would stop popping up!

We had lunch at EoS and I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ sandwich which was delicious as always

SAM_0639.jpg

Tim ordered the Holiday Sandwich and I immediately regretted my decision…his sandwich was SO good. We still talk about it, it was that good!

SAM_0638.jpg

After some great shopping time (including my annual Disney dated Christmas ornament) we headed back to POP to relax and swim before our dinner plans
Here is a picture I snapped of the AoA construction

SAM_0641.jpg

We had to stop and say hello to some Potato Heads

SAM_0643.jpg

A maintenance CM was driving by on a golf cart and saw Tim snapping the picture of me. He signaled to us and I didn’t know if we were doing something wrong. He got off his golf cart and came over to Tim. He was actually signaling because he is deaf and wanted to see if we wanted him to take a picture of us together…how sweet to stop your cart just to ask…I am sure he was busy with resort stuff but it was so nice I love when we are able to get pictures together…I love Disney for those moments!!

SAM_0644.jpg

I think we may miss POP a whole lot during our next trip when we stay at POR…but I am excited to stay at a resort new to us

We grabbed some drinks and found a spot by the pool

SAM_0645.jpg

SAM_0646.jpg

They asked who wanted to play pool games…Tim volunteered…he was the only adult :lmao: ok besides CMs…:rotfl: still funny to me and I still pick on him about it!!

SAM_0647.jpg

After a few drinks and lots of sun and swimming we headed back to the room to get ready for our dinner!

LOVE the shirts (and I remember that story)! :thumbsup2

Always love shopping at DTD and I think my hubby would like that Hawaiian sandwich very much.

Looks like you had a lot of fun at the pool too. :goodvibes

Down days can be so nice. I love taking it slow and going shopping at DTD.

I discovered the Hawaiian BBQ a few weeks ago, and now I'm hooked. If the Holiday is half as good as the BBQ then I've got to give it a try.

The family reunion story made me laugh. But Tim is kinda right...it's so much easier to hear an abnormal name in a busy restaurant than a popular one. :rotfl:

I love rest days, the parks are nice, but after the first few days you need a break! :cool1:

Haha, Humperdink...love the shirts!

OMG I still talk about that Holiday sandwich too, it was SO good! I can't wait to get one in November!
