Need Help Diabetic Supplies-Here Now

My family arrived this evening and discovered we left our daughter's insulin pump reservoirs at home. Can anyone tell me where we can find reservoirs for a Animas One Touch insulin pump on a Saturday? If anyone has extras, I would be willing to do whatever to buy them from you.

Doozy of a 1st post, but any and all help is very much appreciated.

Do you have the number for your current supplier with you?
They may have a 24 hr contact number and may be ble to rush ship to you..

Care Medical is one of the companies that rents scooter, but they are a full service medical supply company, so may be able to help you.

I found a link to the Animus company. The company website says they are there for you 24 hours a day. They may be able to figure out where to get some locally.

They have options for ordering from them - it says they ship in 10 days if they have to go thru insurance or 2-3 days if by credit card. They may be able to do more rush in an urgent situation.

Do you have anyone who can get into your house and do an overnight delivery to you?

Try one of the local hospitals. Maybe talk to Social Work if they work on weekends or to Pharmacy. They would not be able to sell to you unless they have a retail pharmacy, but should be able to point you to some places.

The concierge at the resort can be helpful with getting places or getting things sent to you - and may even have had this question before.

Good luck - hope one of these suggestions works or someone who actually pumps or lives in the area has some better suggestions. Let us know.

Thank you. We called the pump company and they can't ship anything until Monday for a possible Tuesday arrival. A family friend has the same pump, so they are going to send some down to us, which should arrive on Monday. Thanks to another poster on the thread in The Community Board, we were able to re-fill the 1 reservoir we have!!!!! Things are looking up after a rough start and we are ready for a week of fun!

Try Turner Drug. Get the phone number from the Disney Operator. They'll deliver to your resort, if they have what you need, for $5.

If you're going for Friends for Life - don't worry - 1) you have a bazillion people there with diabetes and 2)every rep from every company is there with supplies. That's like the safest diabetes place to be. LOL.
