Oh my goodness I haven't been on here in DAYS and this isn't the time to lose track I haven't even finished FE gifts because of all the stuff happening here!!!! But the good news is:

1. All chaos is ending in GOOD news!!! Dustin (my 32 year old cousin who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy), after being told he wasn't even a candidate for ANY surgery let alone trach surgery after coding 9 times in a week and a half, was given the ok to have it done under local anesthesia-- He got it a couple days ago after being in cardiac ICU for almost 2 weeks. He is doing wonderful and was even moved out of cardiac ICU to the pulmonary floor! 2 weeks ago tonight they were telling us he wouldn't be here in the morning... Today, they're talking about his "going home" plan... I could physically FEEL the weights lifted from our hearts and shoulders!!!!! After spending quite a bit of those weeks traveling back and forth to Cleveland spending 3 days at a time at the hospital, I'm SO ready for this vacation!!!!!!!!
2. FE's can be finished while waiting for the plane
3. I'M LEAVING FOR VACATION IN 5 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to see everyone. I just can't wait to get there period, but it's going to be so nice to put faces with names. Again-- I am HORRIBLE with names so apologies in advance!!!!! There are probably people added since the last time I was here before I went back "home" so welcome! I'm the "out of it" one in the group

Drive safe glad your enroute but yeah its been stormy down here. I thought it was just afternoon thunder storms but seems we are getting some decent rain.

Due to being a Uconn Husky fan and the fun rivalry we have had with the Lady Vols all I can say is that while if the two teams were playing each other I would be supporting Uconn and supporting them as they showed the Lady Vols up...I think that Pat Summit is one hell of a coach, a strong woman who is the epitome of what a Coach should be and if we had to lose to the Vols it was because of her hard work, her support of her team, and the strong ethics she put into those team members.

But that is as far as my support of the Big Orange can go

We are still 14miles from valdosta, you passed us in the night kimistry! Did u not take the 75? How's the weather looking? 11:30 am partly cloudy and 74 for us so, so far so good!

Right now at Daytona it is sunny and hot. There's lots of clouds around. We take 75 down to 1-10 and then 95 down from Jacksonville. DH would rather take the long way around than pay the tolls.

Just checked in to Country Inn & Suites. Drive down uneventful except for heavy rain in NC. Can't get into room until 3:00 pm. Realized in VA that I forgot to pack ties. Guess I'll pick up one on board or go without.

I'm still packing LOL yeah figured since we aren't leaving until tomorrow morning that I would drag it out so that I have something to keep me occupied while I wait.

Still have to take care of a pedicure, and coloring my hair but for the most part I think we are about ready!

I can't believe we are down to now just hours instead of DAYs!
