Disneyland tickets

I am trying to help a co-worker find discounted Disneyland tickets. They need 2-day hoppers for a mid-week visit. Any reputable and recommended outlets, like Undercover Tourist????

It's hard to find discounted two-day hoppers. Even Disneyland doesn't really discount them even though they offer discounts on hoppers 3 days or more all the time.

You could try places like getawaytoday or lastminutetravel, but you'll probably save $5 at best. If you find a website offering a hefty discount, the odds are INCREDIBLY high that their tickets are acquired illegally.

Check your local credit union. That's pretty much the only way to find discounted 2 day passes. GAT and LMT usually only have 3+ day tickets.

If anyone goes to DeVry University you can call some of the campuses up there and get discounted tickets. I've done that before, every bit helps!

We are getting our tickets from our travel agent...she is getting them for us for 6 day park hoppers for $211 for our 4 yr old DD and $226 for the adults! Check out a local Disney travel agent! They know how to get deals and usually they don't cost a small fortune to utilize their knowledge! Our travel agent has been working with us for a few years now and she is priceless in getting us the best deals for our family vacations! We don't splurge (pay @ most $100 a night for hotels) so we are thrifty budget conscious travelers!

Do you know anyone in the So Cal area? A lot of businesses have discount programs for their workers. For instance, through my company I can get a 2 day park hopper for $108.

I was going to ask where the OP's friend lives, because there are typically SoCal deals for 2-day tickets, HOWEVER, please remember they are only for SoCal residents, so someone from somewhere else that buys them is violating Disney policy and could be turned away at the gates if they can't provide a SoCal ID.

That being said, if you buy the tickets online and go into the parks early in the morning, they usually don't check ID at the gate. This policy is similar to the FastPass one, they just don't enforce it. They are more likely to do so at the ticket offices though. Oh, and the SoCal ticket deal is expiring soon, it's not valid during summer. Check Disneyland's website under Special Offers for more details.

We were looking at this deal, but had to book hotel with TA to get the deal and only at good neighbor hotels, so we couldnt get it...BOOOO

I'm not really looking to get into a discussion over this, especially since it has nothing to do with the OP's question, so I'll just say my bit and be done.

I'm pretty sure (or at least I hope) that you realize that there is quite a difference between people using FP's outside of their return window and people cheating Disneyland out of what could be hundreds of dollars per family if you buy SoCal tickets when you aren't deserving of them. And while someone's day might be inconvenienced if they try to return to a ride outside of the window and are denied, their entire vacation is going to be very much ruined if someone has encouraged them to cheat the system and they are asked to present ID at the gates and are told they'll need to spend out-of-pocket to buy their family new tickets because the ones they bought are invalid. While I understand that they may not card everyone entering the parks with SoCal tickets, several on these boards HAVE witnessed families being turned away because they could not provide valid ID.

I won't argue with you that yes, in both cases it's a "violation", but certainly you can see the difference.

First of all, welcome to the boards! Second, I'm sorry for all the negativity DISboarders have been posting towards you. I noticed an earlier thread that you posted in regards to the Carsland Sweepstakes but I never got around to a reply. We really are a nice bunch, just that sometimes some of us get a little more irritated at things than others.

Sonnyjane is correct in that DISboards supports Disney policies, and yes, it's true people get turned away at the gate, but at the same time, I've also seen it on the boards that you're allowed to gift Socal parkhoppers and other ticket forms. I've seen this issue come up time and again with both military tickets and socal tickets and on the occasion the thread gets heated enough to where it turns out into a fierce debate. It's just part of the DISboards culture, and takes a little to get used to. *whew*

Back to OP's posting, if you have a military base near you, sometimes you can access it if you work for the government. They may also sell discounted tickets. One of my parents works in the government and can get us discounted 2 day parkhopper tickets for $155.50. I'm not sure of the details, but it's different than a military ticket because he entered the base as a civilian. I'm also unsure if AAA does discounted 2 day parkhoppers, but that might be another option. Good luck!

Safeway has discount tickets available but I am not quite sure how it works if you need to be a employee or know a employee....but I don't think so prob. worth checking out. sometimes costco or AAA has discounts too....might be cheaper to get a 3 day though
