pixar greetings at DCA

I see that the PIxar parade will not be at DCA until JUne 15 (we are going early June). My 2 year old said she wants to see Woody and Buzz.

I don't see them under "Character Greetings" on the DIsneyland website.

Do they ever appear as a meet and greet?

I've seen Buzz from time to time in Tomorrowland by Star Traders, and I've seen Woody in Frontierland (although it's been a few years since I've seen either doing meet&greets).

Buzz does regular meet and greets in Tomorrowland. I have seen Woody out signing autographs, etc. each of our last several visits. He usually appears in Frontierland around the backside of Big Thunder ride or somewhere near Big Thunder Ranch. Jessie is sometimes with him.

I recall also seeing Toy Story characters out for meet and greets sometimes over near the Toy Story Midway Mania ride in DCA. Don't know if that's current and if so who's appearing there.

We saw Buzz walking through CA near the Disney Junior theater. Not sure where he was heading to (or from), but they are out and about sometimes.

Buzz now is usually by Toy Story Mania in DCA now.

Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the Green Army men meet guests between Toy Story and Cal Screaming next to the water.

We met Woody and Jesse in frontier land. They take pictures by a wagon.

Do you all think or know if this is where the Brave characters will be this summer?

Nevermind. I just found this online: "When visiting Disneyland park in California this summer, Merida and the cubs will find a home away from home near “it’s a small world” in Fantasyland, where guests will also be able to participate in activities inspired by Merida’s story.” My girls are gonna flip!

Yep. Saw them working on that this past weekend. It was next to the grassy area that's near the parade gate across from small world.

Last time we were there, (Oct 11) there was a character greeting area set up by TSM/Screamin'. I know we saw Buzz there and I'm pretty sure he rotates with other characters throughout the day during select hours.

We also saw Woody and Jessie at the Big Thunder Mountain Ranch area in DL.

One thing to remember is that Buzz can't sign autographs because of the gloves he wears. My boys were disappointed by that.

Thanks so much for the helpful info! I have noted them down. Great to know the locations and that we can keep our eye out for them.

Are Woody, Jessie, green army guys, Buzz "people characters" like there is no mask like the princesses, or are they characters like Pooh and friends that are all costume and can't talk?
(I forget what kind of characters the two types are.)

They do not talk.

The Army men are face characters and will talk, but Woody, Jessie and Buzz are not face characters.

The Green Army Men are fun. While @ DHS in 12/10, one of them took our DD4's hand while we were walking in Pixar Place @ DHS and she thought it was Papa fooling around. Quite the look she had when she realized it was one of the green army guys. :rotfl2:

We have Buzz's autograph!! I was really surprised we got it, too--I was hoping for a stamp like I've heard he does in WDW, but the cast member with him said that he doesn't do that when he is visiting California. In fact, that day she said that he couldn't sign autographs either...so we were VERY surprised the next day when he gladly signed autographs for us!

He was signing autographs the day we saw him too. Unfortunately, they switched characters right before we got to him to Jesse (we already had her autograph and pictures). Another waiting in line for nothing experience.
