Close enough for a countdown!

I'll be leaving here early Sunday morning, which will get me to Anaheim around 3ish in the afternoon. Gonna check into my room and head over to the parks immediately. I'm not sure yet if my friend will be joining me, she's waiting for confirmation from her boss, but either way, solo or with a friend I'm going to have an awesome time. I'll be meeting up with a local friend Sunday evening for dinner and drinks, then dinner at the Blue Bayou on Monday, and maybe drinks with the friend again Tuesday evening. I'm so excited! I have never been to Disney without family in tow, either parents or kids or both, and this is going to be a totally liberating trip for me.

Anyone else going to be there next week? I'd love to meet more folks in person, it's so much fun. Do people still do the lime green Mickey heads?

Enjoy the nice weather. We will be baking up here I suspect. oohh, but you are going to miss the eclipse that apparently we are in the best spot in the world to view. (the smiley face is not trying to be cool. that's him in his special eclipse veiwing goggles.) hmmm.... eclipse that only happens every 18 years or Mickey? Ya, I'd go with Mickey as well.

Yeah, I'm okay with missing the eclipse. I'd probably forget about it anyway until it was over then run outside to see the last 2 seconds. I get busy every time something like that happens. I'll trade that for dinner at the Blue Bayou any day.
