So I have narrowed it down to Wine Country Trattoria with the World of Color Dining or the Blue Bayou for my cousines 18th Birthday. I had dinner at the WCT on November of last year with the World of Color package and felt it was a good deal with great food! (plus for the older ones they had great drinks ) But people seem to love Blue Bayou so I dont really know what to do... Help

It was a while ago since I have been to both but I felt the atmosphere was really nice and relaxing at WCT. Blue Bayou is a very cool experience but the atmosphere is more on the fun and whimsical side. The portions are HUGE.

Sorry to throw another one at you but why not try for the Carthay Circle? When are you going?

If you've never done Blue Bayou, the setting is unique. If you get a WoC FP for the later show (if your cousins' birthday is on a night with two shows), then you can have dinner earlier in the evening at BB and head over to DCA for WoC later in the evening.

I've eaten at both places for lunch. WCT is part of the park (so if you're outside, you do more people watching, sounds of Paradise Pier, etc....inside is just a nice restaurant...really nothing more). BB is a more immersive experience (like you've just entered a New Orleans plantation). Depends on whether you want to be in the theme park or escape from the theme park.

If you decide on BB, request a waterside table. Adds atmosphere to see the fireflies and the beginning scenes of PoTC.

I agree with the characterization that WCT is relaxing (which is why I enjoyed it but didn't really think of it as a 'special event' kind of retaurant).

We had lunch at WCT and found it to be very special. We enjoyed the food and the wine choices to go along with the food. My brother and his girlfriend shared some fun mixed drinks. My two boys enjoyed the pasta there and even ordered seconds! I felt it was like a long leisurely lunch similar to the ones we had when visiting Italy, very relaxing. Blue Bayou was nice too, something young adults would find special I think. If I had to choose, it would be WCT. Plus, it was alot less expensive.

I thought about the Carthay Circle a lot but I wasnt sure the pricing.. I looked but got distracted and never got back.. I think it would be awesome to try something new to all of us(were going in July)

I really enjoy reading everyones thoughts. It really helps! I guess Ill just send her the link and let her choose... Or just switch it all up and to Carthay Circle..hmm so much to think about..

Can you request the waterside table 60 days out when you call in the reservation or does it have to be at the time of the meal?

If you decide on BB, request a waterside table. Adds atmosphere to see the fireflies and the beginning scenes of PoTC.
