Tickets go on sale 05/18/12.

Be among the first to experience how “The Happiest Place on Earth” just got happier! As a D23 Member, you and a guest have the opportunity to attend preview events on June 9 or June 10.

Our friends at Disneyland Resort have opened up a limited number of tickets for D23 Members to experience the re-imagined and expanded Disney California Adventure Park, including a preview of Cars Land and Buena Vista Street. While these extraordinary additions open on June 15 to the general public, D23 Members have the chance to attend one of two special days of previews on June 9 or 10. Each date offers three windows of time to experience Cars Land and Buena Vista Street (see sidebar for times). Plus D23 has obtained a very limited number of tickets to enjoy dinner during the evening experience at the Carthay Circle Restaurant.

Cars Land expands Disney California Adventure by 12 acres and immerses guests in the thrilling world of the Disney•Pixar blockbuster Cars. Guests will feel as if they have stepped into the town of Radiator Springs as they enjoy three family attractions showcasing characters and settings from the movie, plus Cars-themed dining and shopping locations such as Flo’s V8 Café, Ramone’s House of Body Art, and Radiator Springs Curios.

Starting June 15, guests will enter Disney California Adventure along Buena Vista Street, a place that transports them to an era when Walt Disney arrived with new dreams in California: 1920s Los Angeles. Buena Vista Street features Red Car Trolleys, inspired by the transportation system that once served Southern California, and the Carthay Circle Theatre, modeled after the site of the 1937 world premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Dinner at Carthay Circle Restaurant includes a three-course meal featuring modern cuisine that pays tribute to the bold and diverse flavors of Southern California, and a special wine presentation.

To celebrate these previews and the grand reopening of Disney California Adventure, the Disneyland Resort is spreading the happiness by donating a total of $500,000 to Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and the Anaheim Community Foundation.

too bad I'm leaving the morning of the 9th.

I leep hoping for a soft opening preview on the 5th-8th (during my trip). But with the Annual Pass preview, the D23 preview, the Team Disney-Burbank preview party, the Team-Disney-Glendale preview party, the Pixar preview party all happening those dates, I can't imagine there are going to be any geneal admission guest allowed behind the construction wall.

Maybe I'll luck out with a Matterhorn soft opening?

Thank you for the link Tom. :thumbsup2 At least there is another chance of seeing CL & BVS early before the AP sneak peek or opening week.

Same here. As APs, it would be really nice for my wife and I to get some kind of sneak peek before we have to leave the 9th.

I just bought two tickets for Sunday, June 10th!
I am so excited I cannot wait!:yay:

Thank you so much Tom for the link!

Just got my tickets on June 10th at night. I can't wait to see CL & BVS and possibly the sneak peek the next day.

Thank you for the link Tom.

When do you think would be the best time?!?! Early morning or night?!?! I wanna buy them but I just dont know what the best would be! ugh!

I know! I am thinking early morning might be less crowded, but I really want to see Cars Land at night with all the neon! Decisions, decisions!

Wow, thats a sweet deal! Just $50 to check out CL and BVS (and you still get the full day at DCA regardless) and its all going to charity too, thats a sweet deal!

I have a feeling it will go fast even the $500 tickets!

But that also mean they only have about 3 weeks left to complete BVS as well and I wonder if they will do it? From the 9th on, these areas will be open daily basically until the 15th! I suspect they can work on it at night of course but it looks like its going to be close to get it ready in time.

Are any of the podcasters going? I haven't listened to this week's podcast yet so maybe you guys already talked about it. I like that it is a fundraiser too, very cool.

What do you think about this offer?
I doubt you are asking me, but I just thought I'd chime in that I don't get it. It's $50 to see something that an AP let's you see anyway. But, I'm clearly alone in my thinking...
