Any East Coast singles mid 20-30's out there???

Hi Everyone!! I'm 29 (sadly for only 2 more months) and in NJ and LOVE everything Disney!! I have an annual pass for disney, universal and sea world!! I was going down quite a bit for awhile but work's been keeping me too occupied lately. So I hope to go down in May for a week!!

If anyone is in the area by me or Orlando and wants to meet up, let me know!

Hey everyone! I am just wondering if anyone else has been lucky enough to find a significant other that is just as Disney crazy as they are? I am so tired of men looking at me like I am nuts because I love all things Disney, especially the parks. I am from MD and it seems like any time I try any kind of Disney dating method the guys live primarily in CA or FL... coincidence? haha :lovestruc Would sooo love to meet prince charming, kissed far too many frogs in my day :p

I hear ya! Not as many PA/NJ/MD people talking much on here.

I believe I'm going to find myself on the DIS forums a lot more. I've always listened to the podcast but haven't done much more than browse. Today I decided I had better creat a profile and start searching. Recen't events have left me without anyone to visit the parks with and I find myself staring at the solo trip posts.

It's true that there are other sites meant for finding your other half. Finding someone who is truly excited about Disney more than just "I've never been there" or they like the idea of going but after they've been once or twice the magic is lost, is an entirely new level of difficulty. What's a guy to do when he's been caught up in this world, gets a lump in his throat just at the thought of doing anything Disney from the parks to cruises to ABD and even some of the movies, and now finds himself alone. Going solo :::shakes head::: I couldn't.

You could not have said it better! My friends don't truly understand what Disney means to me. Luckily, my parents both love Disney and appreciate it like I do. But, I wish I knew someone around my age who loves it too. I'm a 24 year old in Upper Bucks County, PA. I love going to Disney World (my parents are DVC members), listening to the music, watching the movies and just talking about it. I guess I'm wrapped up in the Disney World! :)

I don't think I could do it solo either. It's meant to be shared. I love being with someone else at Disney because I enjoy seeing their reactions to things. It's hard to find your other half, especially one who loves Disney. I've been searching but have had no luck so far.

I figured I would chime in on this topic 30/F from King of Prussia, Pa here. I agree it would be much, much easier to date someone who "got" my love of WDW. It's hard to find people to go with me (as often as I's like to go at least) and haven't been brave enough to attempt a solo trip yet though I think about it a lot. I'm really going through withdrawal and need to get back there soon!

If you ladies think its hard finding a guy who tolerates a Disney obsession try being a straight man and explaining a Wdw obsession. Hell I even own at dvc. It's not easy to explain to a sceptic but I am still looking for that girl who just gets it. I've had girls who act like they get it but you know when it's truly a pert of someone. I head to wdw with my new lady friend for the first time in a few weeks....let's hope she gets it.

I haven't met a guy yet (who is available) who likes theme parks as much as I do.

I visit theme parks by myself often, but in the recent year I've found myself more and more wanting to share the experience with other people. Well, maybe except for when I go to DHS because I totally understand if no one else wants to go to 1+ shows of AIE. ;) (Big fan of that attraction)

But yeah....I hope to meet a guy who likes theme parks as much as I do, or at least, doesn't mind visiting them with me.

I live two hours away and I think it's even harder to find someone down here who gets the obsession sometimes. When you grow up and live so close to it, some people get burnt out and just look at it as some cheesey, obnoxious tourist trap. Myself, on the other hand, it's my favorite place in the world. No matter what's going on I can go and just let go of everything going on outside of those gates for a day or two and just be happy.

I hear ya! Another NJ girl here. :goodvibes

Thankfully, I don't so the parks solo much anymore after my BFF in FL started joining me and local friends I made. But I still have solo park time if needed.

I don't have a trip planned to WDW for the rest of this year...yet. I was just there for a few days to do the leap day event. Now, that was something! Who knew 24 hours was not enough time to get everything done? It was way way too packed.

Due to my love of vinylmations (yes, another Disney obession), our trading group meets in NYC every other month, so I get to interact with other Disney fans at home turf, which is always super cool.

26/m from PA. ..just checking in. All of my friends think I'm nuts for being such a Disney fanatic lol.

Jumping in a little late to the party...35/F from the Harrisburg, PA area. Some of my family just looks at me strange when I start talking about Disney. My good friend and I were discussing the other day at dinner that when we date someone they have to understand our obsession with hockey and Disney...LOL!!!

29/M/Single from Western Canada. I used to work at WDW back in 2007 to 2008. I am a dvc owner/annual passholder to both WDW/DL.

I am planning on going down end of april to may 6th or 7th then heading to DL for a week with family.

I love meeting new people :)

Hey ya'll! 25/F here, and I definitely love Disney more than most of my friends think is normal. My favorite thing is to go with friends who've never been before - I become the geeky tour guide who knows random facts about everything Disney.

I just joined the boards, and I am pretty impressed by the fact that people really do take solo trips. If I could muster the courage, I might try that one day. :)

Anyone pin trade? I started when I was little, and it's about the only collection I still try to keep up.

Looks like I'm a little late joining in, but I've been absent from the boards for awhile. I'm 31/F from Philly who was raised to be a Disney fan.
I used to try to downplay my love until just recently, when my parent's were planning a trip... without me! I'm planning on making a surprise visit during their trip. :cool1: Selfishly, so I can get down there, of course!

I don't need someone to necessarily be passionate about Disney, just someone that is understanding of my passion.

So funny to read this thread, I am recently separated from my husband and I keep thinking how will I ever go to Disney again and how will I ever find anyone that understands my obsession with Disney?!?! Fingers crossed for all of us!!!! :goodvibes

Hey...Solo trips are fun, but I think it's always better to go with someone who loves Disney as much as you! I'm a 32/male from Long Island NY and I go to Disney once or twice a year and my friends think I'm nuts..haha.

It was good to read this thread and no that I'm not alone..haha.

I'm actually going to Anaheim for a conference in two weeks and plan on making a quick trip to Disneyland!!

I'm 36/F from Eastern Canada! Some people understand my love for Disney and enjoy that I go, but others just think I'm crazy. I've gone solo a few times too, and I really enjoy it, but it would be lovely to find that special someone to travel with too. I have (luckily) found a good gal friend who loves to travel and do Disney too, so we've done a few park trips together. That's nice too!
