I'm a Polynesian Club Level fan but the cost is really getting to high to justify my want. I stayed at Boardwalk with a friend in February and loved it!
So much that my DH and I booked a trip in November.

I booked a regular room but is the Club Level worth the extra price? I like the lounges for the morning and breaks.

Hi Kook!:wave2:

You have done a FABULOUS job on this thread!! Ya know I'm a huge MK Resort lover, but you've actually changed my mind about BWI....it's definitely on my list of resorts to try. Now...I'll have to convince DH:rolleyes:
 Thank you, Heather! Well, I still prefer the MK Resorts (WL and CR), but I will say, it was so nice walking to DHS and Epcot. The Epcot resorts just aren't as spread-out as the MK Resorts. There isn't the same illusion that you're off the beaten path - there's more hustle and bustle, which I know many love, but it's not as appealing to us. But, I think you should try it once and see what you think. Everyone values something different in a WDW Resort, and there's something for everyone:thumbsup2

Or, I can just get the coffee in my system and post a pic of it... :upsidedow
Thank you for posting your gorgeous cake photos. Did it taste as good as it looked?

Not this time ... We lucked out at WL ... We are in a 4th floor cottage/garden view room just behind ESPN. I read your recent TR and wanted to avoid the noisiness you described. Are there any stairs or elevators in this corner of the inn?

I can't answer your question since we were staying outside the Innkeeper's Club door and next to Flying Fish, we never ventured down the CL hallway toward ESPN.

Since you already stayed at the KKC and BWI, you know what the CL amenities are and you know what the BWI rooms are like, so I won't go over all that. I have photos of some of BWI's food and drinks on the first page of this thread.

Personally, we liked BWI, but we wouldn't pay to stay CL there again. If you want more details about our stay, there's a link in my signature to a BWI/CL review that I posted recently. If you're only looking for breakfast and snacks, then it might be convenient for you since there isn't a QS inside of BWI. But, if you don't mind walking a little to get something to eat on the BW or at YC/BC or Epcot, then that would be much less expensive than CL.

Love it! And I loved reading your TR! :)

Amazing! I love it.

Thanks! Chef Brian and his team did an amazing job!!!

Yes! Or, at least, kind of??:rotfl2:

The cake was fantastic, perfectly moist and just a touch of buttercream under the fondant to make it yummy. My only problem with it was one I knew about going into the process.

My DH's favorite flavor combo is Chocolate and Peanut Butter. Since this was his surprise, that's what I ordered. I personally can't stand the two together (I know, something VERY wrong with me!:lmao:) So I mostly just ate the chocolate cake.

He said it was amazing though, that's what's important. :-)

I'm trying to choose between BC/YC/BWI for a short, possibly split stay between resorts. What is/are everyone's favorite thing(s) about BWI, in general and also compared to BC/YC? :)

Also, out of curiosity, is there any construction going on here? I know there is at GF, which is why I am sad to say we won't be able to stay there for our first Deluxe resort visit :(

Only 9 days until I am at BWI! I can't wait to get there :cool1:

I am still debating on doing online check in, I would love a King Size Bed with Garden View. I put my requests in, so I am sure if it is best to do online check in or not.

Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to not do online check in. I think, especially with a honeymoon, you'll want to check in when you arrive.
It sounds like you've already requested a King Garden View, is that right? Did they note it's your honeymoon on your reservation?
Hopefully you'll get your request.

Won't be long 'till your wedding day! Best wishes!:flower3:

Thank you! Yes, I put all the requests on the reservation. I know they will make it magical for us! :wizard:

Thank you again for the advice!

I think there is a lot of speculation and assumptions based on personal experience about online checkin. If you want the official word from Disney on what it is and why to use it - here it is:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/online-hotel-check-in/

These are the two items that I specifically noted:

What are the benefits of Online Check-In Service?

Guests who participate in Online Check-In Service may spend reduced time checking in upon arrival at the Disney Resort hotel, and Cast Members can focus on providing helpful information and answering your questions.

Are Guests' rooms assigned as a part of Online Check-In Service?

No, this service does not provide room selection or assignment. Please note, if you requested a Disability Accessible Room at the time of booking, then a specific room will be assigned

Hi all,

Does anyone here have an idea of how many STANDARD view dedicated studios are at BWV? I was checking an unofficial DVC site and came up with only 3 room numbers. When I called DVC MS yesterday, the CM I got told me there "are no standard dedicated studios." Uh huh.

TIA!

Good, helpful, information. :thumbsup2
My advice in the particular situation above was based on:
1. My feeling that a honeymoon is a particularly special life event
2. The last two times I've check in at WDW, the online "line" was longer, slower, and had fewer CM's.
Of course, there are two options, and each guest should do what works best for them. Cheers!:goodvibes

I am so excited - we officially made our reservation for 2 nights in October at BWI for our 10th anniversary trip today through AAA. We haven't booked through AAA before, but I believe we will be saving about $120 - I know that's not much, but at least it is something! :cool1: I can't wait for our first visit!

There are 97 dedicated studios:

15 are Standard View with 14 being a view of the driveway and 1 being a view of the tennis court according to this:

Congratulations on booking for your anniversary! Make sure it's noted in your reservation.

Thank you! I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to this :goodvibes

I definitely don't want to forget to add our anniversary to the res - I have a couple of questions about this, if anyone could answer them for me :worship:

Can I note the anniversary on the online check in? Can I still do online check in with a aaa res?

Would it be better to call before online check in to have it added? If so, can I call Disney directly to do this, or do I have to call aaa?

I am so unfamiliar with how booking through aaa works. I know you have to call them instead of Disney to make any changes, but I wasn't sure how to handle something like this. I appreciate any info you can give me :)

I just spend a sick day pouring over this thread! I'm there in 76 days and I can't wait. We've never been to the Boardwalk area before.

I have been looking for that info thanks! We have 2 Pool/garden View studios booked with points. I asked for dedicated studios and they said it was not a "category", lady at ms was hesitant to even put it as a request, not sure why?:confused3 so I guess I will request it in my online check in!

I apologize in advance if this is within this thread somewhere, I could not locate it.

Is there a diagram somewhere that shows the room numbers and locations? I had one long ago for the yacht club and it was awesome!
