If I call will they put me in the system quicker

Has anyone called after closing and been put into the system quickly? I am trying to book Memorial. Day.

You might tick them off and get put in next months pile!

Disney doesn't have any reason to help you, your bought resale. All you can do is call to see when they add your account.

You have years and years of DVC/Disney vacations so why rush it.

The person who inputs the new memberships does it chronologically based on when your contract closed and the info was sent to Disney. For most people, it's been taking about a week to get into the system and another few days for your points to be loaded.

I closed (resale) late March and it took two weeks to get in the DVC system.

I too was anxious...I called MS a few times during the two weeks and it made no difference in expediting the timeframe. MS was very nice when I called but they have to do things chronologically.

We closed on 4/18/12 and was in the system on 4/26/12. We are existing members. Good luck!

We closed on a Thursday, in the Orange County records on Friday and membership in the following Thursday. I called Thursday to find out where all my points had gone and they said it can take up to a month for the points to show up. They were there the next day.

On a side note, anyone know why they would put your membership / contract info in and not the points until later?
