Stop staring at me Phil! A Vinylmation stalking(with a side of *sparkle*)9/19 TR END!

Ya know.. I was really excited for a second because I thought you updated!

Tease.

:rotfl: whoops sorry twin!! I will be updating right now (finally another one :rotfl2:)

I HATE when DH wins on Buzz on TSM! However, on our Disneyland trip 2 weeks ago, I beat him on BOTH! I was so happy and you could tell he was not happy that a girl beat him but oh well! He always gets to relish in his wins, now it's my turn:lmao:

I love, love, LOVE Tims shirt!! In fact, I need it. Did you get it at a Disney store or online somewhere?

Yay!, its always nice to finally beat them, especially when it doesn't happen often :goodvibes

The muppets shirt he has on? We actually got that one at Target, in the men's graphic t's section :thumbsup2 They might have it on their website too

We hit a few shops in DHS before making our way over to 50’s PT. Of course we loved a million things in the shops, but we didn’t purchase anything. We took a picture in front of everyones favorite giant hat

Photo0168FourBySix.jpg

We found our way over to 50’s PT and checked in, it was very crowded. We stood around in the waiting area and stalked out some seats. We waited around 15 to 20 minutes, we made sure to get a photo op with one of our vinylmations we picked up that day

SAM_0585.jpg

Once we were seated our server came over to take our drink order and we told her ahead of time we have TIW card. We were sort of wedged in a small table in a corner, pretty close to other diners. I love the feel of 50’s PT and I always have a great meal in there. For some reason we didn’t take pictures of our food…idiots!

We both had the fried chicken and we shared the 50's Boston Cream Parfait for dessert. Everything was really tasty! Tim had the PB&J shake!! It was SOOO good!! Our server was super sweet and friendly, but honestly we (mainly me) were really sad there were no antics except maybe a tiny comment about forgetting to give her the TIW card when we got the check. One of my favorites parts of dining there is the antics, so I was sad to see that not happening with anyone really in the restaurant.

After a yummy lunch we took a couple more pictures in front of that giant hat

Photo0194FourBySix.jpg

That alien kept popping up everywhere...

Photo0201FourBySix.jpg

I know at some point we did Muppets 3D…great as usual and Tim showed me the key under the carpet when you first walk in, very cool!

On our way out I got the chance to see some of my favorite guys…I don't have children, but I do watch the show sometimes :rotfl:

Photo0182FourBySix.jpg

SAM_0587.jpg

I love that they put on a little show with guests while you are waiting in line, very fun experience and I felt like even though we waited it moved pretty quickly

We made our way around DHS checking out Great Movie Ride and we walked around the display area that usually comes at the end of the Backlot Tour, we didn’t feel like riding the actual ride

For some reason we both agreed we thought the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground used to be bigger, but maybe that was because we were smaller :rotfl: Just for fun here is a picture of me on the playground as a kid

ps_2011_12_18___16_47_29.jpg

And Tim as a kid in the same spot (now check out the outfits around him – and no none of Tim’s family just tons of random people in his picture :rotfl2:)

ps_2011_12_08___13_54_16.jpg

We hit the Animation Building and did the animation class…we were able to draw Woody :) We tried our best, but he was a tough one to draw! Tim had read before that if you ask sometimes you can have the instructor’s drawing from that class, and it was true, at least for us he let us have his drawing which of course which very nice

IMG956079.jpg

Once the class was over we wandered around a little and waited to see if characters would come out. Here is a picture I took of the Cars 2 display

SAM_0592.jpg

Winnie the Pooh was there since his movie had just come out or was coming out soon I couldn't remember which. He has always been a favorite of mine

Photo0186FourBySix.jpg

We waited some more to see if other characters would come out and our waiting paid off…we got too meet a ton of characters and mostly ones I have never met before. They don’t stay out for very long but we got to meet most of them

SAM_0593.jpg

SAM_0594.jpg

Tim’s favorite Disney movie is Aladdin and he was BEYOND excited we were able to meet this guy:

SAM_0595.jpg

SAM_0596.jpg

He was super freaky in person and totally in character, he actually made me a little nervous

SAM_0597.jpg

SAM_0598.jpg

Meeko kept pointing at our bag and rubbing his tummy, he was asking if we brought him snacks :goodvibes

We rode Star Tours one more time before heading out for the night. We were both pretty exhausted from the long days we had so far, we ate at POP and I didn’t even take any pictures. We did make a vinylmation trade and guess who it was

SAM_0599.jpg

Phil! I am thinking everyone was getting rid of Phil while we were there lol

I can't believe there were no antics at PT?! That's odd.. I always remember them being "mom" or "dad" and being pretty pushy  That's disappointing! Glad the food was yummy!

Love your hat pictures; too cute! Plus, I love that you're both wearing green and that you're both wearing Muppet shirts. You know how I feel about matching...

Whoa whoa-- what is the key under the carpet for Muppets 3D?

LOL-- I watch Phineas and Ferb all the time. Best show ever. Twins 4life.

OMG.. I love little Shannon and little Tim on the SAME bug wearing the same color. You two were just destined.

So nice you got the instructor's drawing! I bet Woody would be tough to draw. But, then again, I can't draw anything.

You got a TON of character photos- Awesome!! Love them all!!

YAY for a wonderful update!! pixiedust:

Love the pics of you guys when you were little! :cutie:

I just found out on another TR too that you can ask for the picture that the animator drew! That is way cool. Why didn't you post your drawings of Woody? :rolleyes1

Tons of characters to meet with, how awesome!

I could not stop laughing at that lady in Tim's throwback Honey I Shrunk the Audience Playset picture that's just leaning on the ant, chillin', while they take the picture. :lmao:

The antics are the only reason we ever book at 50's:confused3

I love the pictures of you two when you were younger...those outfits:rotfl2:

That's disappointing that the servers weren't in a playful mood at 50's. I guess that's the nature of a restaurant that relies on the servers to make the atmosphere. They're going to have an off day from time to time.:sad2:

On our way out I got the chance to see some of my favorite guys…I don't have children, but I do watch the show sometimes :rotfl:
That is a great show. :worship: It's kind of like an "older" cartoon. It really has the same feel to it as a lot of the ones I watched when I was growing up. Unlike the millions of other newer cartoons out there.

For some reason we both agreed we thought the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground used to be bigger, but maybe that was because we were smaller :rotfl: Just for fun here is a picture of me on the playground as a kid
So where is the now picture of the 2 of you on the ant?:confused3

I've always wanted to try 50's PT but I'm too afraid, maybe if they stopped the antics, I'd go! I just don't feel like being yelled at while I'm eating, which is why I always avoid it, but the food looks so good!

Awww, I love the old pics of you and Tim! :goodvibes

Wow, you got so many character pics, I'm never in the Animation building when they do that! :(

Wow you guys were good for not purchasing anything!

Am glad your food at 50s PTC was good but it is a shame about the antics - I didn't get any either :(

Yay on meeting P&F! :thumbsup2

Lol at the kid photos and the people surrounding Tim! Wow at all the characters you met - that is one lucky spot.

Wow, I can't believe how many characters you and Tim were able to take pictures with! I think being able to see Jafar and Meeko in on stop would be wonderful!:thumbsup2

Man, that Phil Vinylmation just keeps popping up! :rotfl2:

I've put off going to to 50's PT, because I didn't want to deal with the antics, but I went ahead and booked a dinner there for our trip in 2 weeks. It stinks that you guys didn't get to experience that while you were there, I'm secretly hoping that is the case for my mom and I.:lmao:

Hi! Newbie here! :wave2:

Just wanted to say I'm loving your trip report, I've been reading as many as I can to get me prepared (and excited :yay:) for my first trip in August.

I love that you trade vinylmations because that's something I'm really looking forward to trying on my trip!

Can't wait for the next update :thumbsup2

You're not the 1st person to complain that 50's Prime Time isn't as much fun as it used to be, we've never eaten there but it's been on my wish list. Maybe less now because of the negative comments. :confused3

Too funny about Phil!

Amanda

Great update!!!

I've heard that 50s PT just isn't what it used to be...doesn't make me want to add it to my list anytime soon...

LOVE the throwback pics!!! :thumbsup2

I can't believe how many characters you two were able to get your picture taken with...score!!! :goodvibes

Wow, I cannot believe how far behind I was! All caught up now.

That marathon looks like the coolest thing every! I know it would be really hard to do 26 miles, but going through all 4 theme parks would be awesome! Congratulations!

That Phil always looks so angry! I traded mine as soon as I could.

We've actually always avoided the 50's PT, just because we didn't think the antics would suit us. Sounds like it might be safe to go now!:rotfl:

Shannon, sorry I missed the update (we were in Florida already).

I'm sorry that 50's didn't have the antics going on. Now you have me wondering whether or not I should cancel our ADR there in September. :worried:

Great pictures in front of the hat; and leave it to that Stitch to show up.

YAY for a wonderful update!!

It says something outside of Muppets about the key being under the carpet outside the box office window...when you walk in on the right there it is under the carpet!! so cool!

We loved the drawing class even though our own photos were not that great. I loved seeing all of the random characters in the building, what a great surprise!

Love the pics of you guys when you were little!

I just found out on another TR too that you can ask for the picture that the animator drew! That is way cool. Why didn't you post your drawings of Woody? :rolleyes1

Tons of characters to meet with, how awesome!

Aww thanks!

I never knew that you could, Tim read that somewhere and I was so happy he asked. Oh man my Woody looks like it was punched in the face and Tim's looked like he needed some coffee :lmao:

I could not stop laughing at that lady in Tim's throwback Honey I Shrunk the Audience Playset picture that's just leaning on the ant, chillin', while they take the picture. :lmao:

Oh my gosh don't you love her!! Just hanging out with her matching red outfit and huge glasses!! shes awesome!

The antics are the only reason we ever book at 50's:confused3

I love the pictures of you two when you were younger...those outfits

I think the food at 50s was still really good, but I was so sad the real appeal is the antics!!

That's disappointing that the servers weren't in a playful mood at 50's. I guess that's the nature of a restaurant that relies on the servers to make the atmosphere. They're going to have an off day from time to time.

I am wondering between free dining and just all of the promotions if its too busy to keep up the antics like in the past on some days. It was really busy when we were in there

I agree! I enjoy the humor in the cartoon, it appeals to adults without being too adult for kids

We do need a now picture with the ant, we will have to do that during the honeymoon in September!! :thumbsup2

I've always wanted to try 50's PT but I'm too afraid, maybe if they stopped the antics, I'd go! I just don't feel like being yelled at while I'm eating, which is why I always avoid it, but the food looks so good!

Awww, I love the old pics of you and Tim!

Wow, you got so many character pics, I'm never in the Animation building when they do that! :(

You should try it out now, they didn't embarass us at all!!

You need to check out the building around 4ish in the afternoon, I think thats when we ran into all the characters!

Wow you guys were good for not purchasing anything!

Am glad your food at 50s PTC was good but it is a shame about the antics - I didn't get any either :(

Yay on meeting P&F! :thumbsup2

I think Tim almost passed out when he saw Jafar, he isn't as excited to meet characters as I am, but that was one that he really wanted to see

I think you will really enjoy the atmosphere and food at 50s, even without the antics I still truly enjoyed it :goodvibes

Hi! Newbie here! :wave2:

Hi, Welcome!! :cool1:

Sorry I haven't been updating on a good schedule :headache:

I LOVED trading vinylmations, it was so much fun to see what I would get!!

You're not the 1st person to complain that 50's Prime Time isn't as much fun as it used to be, we've never eaten there but it's been on my wish list. Maybe less now because of the negative comments. :confused3

Too funny about Phil!

Amanda

We usually always eat there on our DHS day, but we are going to do Sci Fi this upcoming time on our honeymoon instead

Phil was stalking us for sure!

Great update!!!

I've heard that 50s PT just isn't what it used to be...doesn't make me want to add it to my list anytime soon...

LOVE the throwback pics!!!

I can't believe how many characters you two were able to get your picture taken with...score!!!

We actually found a number of pictures of us at WDW in the same spots and used them for our wedding website, its so much fun to see the older pics there!

Wow, I cannot believe how far behind I was! All caught up now.

That marathon looks like the coolest thing every! I know it would be really hard to do 26 miles, but going through all 4 theme parks would be awesome! Congratulations!

Don't worry, Im updating at a snails pace :rotfl2: glad to have you still though!!

It was SO much fun to do the marathon, I keep thinking back on what a cool experience it was!

Thank you! I am glad you understand how mean phil looks too, he was just popping up everywhere!

Shannon, sorry I missed the update (we were in Florida already).

I'm sorry that 50's didn't have the antics going on. Now you have me wondering whether or not I should cancel our ADR there in September.

Great pictures in front of the hat; and leave it to that Stitch to show up.

Maybe it was just so busy when we were at 50s, too busy to act out while trying to move people through :confused3 I really hope it hasn't changed for good

I know you love that Stitch character :rotfl:

Thank you dear readers who are still left for sticking with me, I promise I will have this TR finished on a regular pace :thumbsup2

We woke up bright and early to head over to the Polynesian resort to try some Tonga Toast at Captain Cooks (the quick service restaurant). It was really loud in there and little hectic, but the ordering system was really cool with the computers

The Tonga Toast was DELICIOUS. I would really like to try Kona for breakfast sometime soon, I always read good reviews

SAM_0600.jpg

For some reason we were missing multiple items that morning including sunglasses and decided to head back to POP via Disney transportation…what a headache…for the life of us we can’t remember why we didn’t just go to MK and buy the items we needed

After our trip back to POP we were headed to MK finally! This was our second day there, but our first full day. We picked this day, because there was no MNSSHP that night so there was regular Wishes and parades.
Oh photopass photographer! Yes please!!

Photo0207FourBySix.jpg

Photo0235FourBySix.jpg

We grabbed some fastpasses to meet the princesses and Mickey…the time to come back was coming up soon anyway, so we took our time to wander Main Street…check out shops and see the sites

My favorite Princess
Photo0239FourBySix.jpg

I still laugh like crazy when I see this picture. Ariel asked where we were from and was telling us a story about traveling and I guess we were really into it!!

Photo0244FourBySix.jpg

I apologize now if you love Aurora, but she is my least favorite of all disney princesses and well most disney female characters, sorry!! Tim actually agress with me on this one...well we met her and as we were walking over she was cracking her neck and rolling her eyes, ugh!!

Photo0250FourBySix.jpg

Mickey and Minnie

Photo0262FourBySix.jpg

Photo0261FourBySix.jpg

Mickey was not happy about Tim’s shirt and he made sure to tell him so!

Ugh, eyerolling? That's so un-Disney Princesslike. I can't stand that, I agree.

Um, I love Tim's shirt, Mickey has no reason to dislike it. ;)

I love that you visited the Princesses and Mickey/Minnie! That's awesome! Belle is my fave, too.

Amanda

One of these days, I'll finally get over to the poly for breakfast and try some of that raved about Tonga toast.

Looks like some nice character meets, even if Aurora was being slightly less than professional.

I like the trick or treat Mickey and Minnie shirt.
