Were just back from a most anticipated, well deserved mini-vacation. (Every vacation is well deserved and most anticipated, right?) The first and foremost reason for our visit:
This is Ps first grandchild, baby Daphne. Yes, HE is old enough to be a grandparent. Me? Not so much.
Hmmm, how to answer this? I'll take the safe route: though I'm barely old enough to have a grandchild, no way in heck is Chris old enough.
Isnt she precious?
We left bright and early for the looong (okay, so not so bad, after all, its never too long to travel to go to Disney. Ummmm, see the family, I, mean) drive to Melbourne, Florida. We had an awesome time with Ps daughter, who, until now, I had only met one other time, her husband and the newest addition to the clan. I looooved the opportunity to get to know them all better. It also didnt hurt that we were within walking distance to the beach. And. Conveniently located on said beach was a Starbucks. Score!! We went every day and walked the beach hand-in-hand drinking our lattes.
We had sooo much fun gathering seashells to give to Ps younger daughter. Well, I had fun gathering seashells. I think P had more fun checking out my backside every time I bent over to collect a shell, lol!!! Im just sayin
Cha. . .
Now P and I had a bit of a chat or two (maybe more) prior to the trip. They always started with, well be soooo close to Disney, how could we not go for a day? And, they always ended with, well be soooo close to Disney, how could we not go for a day? Needless to say, we went for a day.
Was there ever any doubt?
We got up bright and early that fine Friday morning. We were determined to arrive for rope drop. And. Hit every park in one day! Does anyone else get super, bubble-ee over with excitement when they see this?
I'm sure they do, dear, but you hold the patent.
I mean, the bounce in your seat kind of excitement? I sure do.
Since we were running a bit early, we decided to stop at our home-away-from home, The Villas at Wilderness Lodge.
I totally love the sense of serenity I feel here.
Ditto.
Hubba, hubba. . .
We also stopped at our ceremony location to check it out.
Im really happy we chose this location for our ceremony. Its beautiful, tranquil and serene and we both love it there. We stayed there on our very first trip together and were inspired to buy DVC at the villas soon after.
Makes smile every time we visit, babe. . .
Next up: Park Number 1, The Magic Kingdom!!!!
