"One More Waffle!" An October 2011 TR! *Update 4/24, pg 70-The End!*

I loved following along on your October and December trips! And you're going back in May - lucky you! We were there early December and going to Disneyland in October. Can't wait for October!

Thank you! I can't wait for my May trip, it's going to be so much fun! :cool1: I'm so jealous you're going to Disneyland, I have to go there someday!!!

BOOO RAIN!!!!!! :(

Yummy Le Cellier! I could never get tired of eating there :)

Last days are always hard... BUT not much longer till you go back :) YAY!!!!

OMG how many vinylmations did you end up with? I am guessing quite a few? :P lol

Yeah, this is where my hatred of rain in Disney started!

I could eat at Le Cellier every day I think! I want to add a second ADR there in May but I can't find the time!

I can't wait to be back in May! 3 weeks and 1 day!

Umm...yeah, I ended up with a few Vinylmations! :rolleyes1

Ugh that is SO depressing that you couldn't even really ENJOY your last day! Now I know why you were looking forward to December so much...and then why you were SO upset when it rained the whole time! I'm glad that you at least got in a great lunch and one more ride on Figment and Soarin'!

overall, it was a really fun trip to read about and I'm looking forward to your recap! :thumbsup2

You see why I don't want there to be a drop of rain on our next like, 5 trips? Because we had enough rain on these last 2 trips to last a loooong time! :rotfl:

At least we got to eat at our favorite place and go on Soarin once more, that was fun!

It was an awesome trip, one of my favorites, I can't wait to go back for Food and Wine again someday! :cool1:

Ugh! That day was awful! We were so soaked. We should have just called it quits instead of walking around the food booths but we wanted to have our favorites one last time.

You guys really love Le Cellier! :) That soup is delicious. Whenever we go back to Disney World, I'd love to have lunch there and give Le Cellier another try. I know Greg would love the sausage appetizer and I want some soup and pretzel bread! :)

Hopefully your anniversary trip will be rain free and full of pixie dust!

Oh no on it being departure day, raining and having kids wake you up so early in the morning...ugh :(

Glad you still decided to go to Epcot and it lifted your spirits. Yay on having 'O Canada' sung to you and being able to eat at your favourite restaurant again in 21 days!!! :woohoo:

That bag looks so tempting....don't know how you managed to resist it!

What a depressing ending to a trip, with all that rain! At least you got not only December, but also this May trip to make up for it!

Le Cellier three times has to be some sort of record! I love that pretzel bread.

That was the worst day for rain that I'd ever seen at Disney World. Bad ending to the trip.

I'm sorry your trip report is over, loved reading about it. I'm hoping to finish mine up pretty soon here and move on to dreaming of future trips.

I always love reading your TRs. I fell off the map with the DIS lately, so I just caught up.

We love the Twilight Zone marathon on New Years Eve as well, we watched those this past year and made Disney recipe Bahama Mamas...totally random :rotfl:

The TSM scramble makes me really nervous, I actually almost had a panic attack last time like an idiot :rotfl:

Boo to all of the rain you guys had on your last day, that stinks, but at least you were able to get in one more Le Cellier visit and some rides :thumbsup2 I am kicking myself for not buying a Dooney while I was there in October, they are so nice!

Just reading how sad you were leaving EPCOT and how you get while leaving...it made me tear up I really hate that feeling of leaving WDW

Awesome TR and have fun in a few weeks!

By the way, since Joyce threw down the gauntlet, I'm totally going to eat half of her cheese fondue in October. ;)

Ugh, we didn't even try to do any of the booths, we were so soaked and so annoyed! :furious:

Haha, yeah, we're kind of obsessed with Le Cellier! I wish we were doing it twice in May! I can't wait for cheddar cheese soup!

Thanks, I'm really hoping for no rain on this trip! A shower here or there is fine, but PLEASE just don't let it pour!

Yeah, not the best way to start departure day! Or end it, for that matter!

Going to Epcot is always fun, even in the rain! I'm glad we got to eat at Le Cellier again and go on Soarin!

I love that bag...I really wish I bought it! :(

What a depressing ending to a trip, with all that rain! At least you got not only December, but also this May trip to make up for it!

I hope May makes up for the rain in October AND December, it rained the whole time we were there in December, ugh!!! I don't mind a little rain here and there but I've had enough of it for now! :rotfl:

Haha, I know, we have some problems when it comes to Le Cellier! :rolleyes1

Yeah, that rain was crazy! It's rained a few times when we were there, but nothing horrible like that! That was a new experience for us! :rotfl:

Thank you! I'm so glad we both have trips coming up soon, new TR's to read and write!

I was wondering where you have been! :cool1:

I'm really hoping if we get to DHS early, we eliminate the need to do the mad dash, but we'll see! I'm dreading it! But I have to ride TSM at least once!

The rain was awful, but eating at Le Cellier and riding Soarin was fun at least! I know, I'm kicking myself for not buying that Dooney too! I'm sure I could buy one in May, but it's not the same as buying it when you're there for the 40th anniversary, you know!

I hate that feeling too! I wish I could live in Disney World!

Awesome TR and have fun in a few weeks!

By the way, since Joyce threw down the gauntlet, I'm totally going to eat half of her cheese fondue in October. ;)

Thank you! I can't wait to be there in a 3 weeks!

Haha, you guys should really get your own personal fondue, the cup is so tiny! :rotfl:

That bread with the fondue looks much better than what they had in 2010 (burnt potatoes and something else, I think). We skipped it in 2011, expecting more of the same, but that bread looks pretty good.

Your meal at Via Napoli looks tasty! We've only gotten the pizza there (and loved it!)

Yummy Le Cellier! I miss that soup and pretzel bread (though we do try to re-create it at home every now and then, but it's not the same).

That last day was such a yucky-weather day! And the timing was terrible for you, as you had to leave in that. At least we were around long enough for the weather to clear and to enjoy WDW again. I hope your upcoming trip is only beautiful weather and sunny skies!

I think I was subconsciously trying make your trip last longer, so I missed your last update before this one- I didn't want to read the end :)

I am SO getting cheese fondue in October. And I. Am. Not. Sharing. Did you see that, Ben? Not sharing- get your own!

I hate the end of a trip- that weird transition from being on vacation to real life. It's yucky. But in just a smidge over 3 weeks, we will both be back in WDW! Woooo-hooooo!

I think my DH already knows that any time there is Cheese Fondue if he wants some he better just get one for himself!! If he has leftovers they are all mine though!

----

I am SO sorry your TR has ended. The good news is you will be writing a new one again soon!!!

The rain is always a bummer.. They always say its the best time to go because of low crowds but yeah... I ended up with rain in DL and it is just miserable when you are that wet! Praying for good weather this October! (And for your May trip too!!!)

I remember the fondue from 2010, I actually liked it, but this year it was much better, I liked it better with the bread!

Via Napoli is awesome, I can't wait to go back someday! :yay:

I am so excited to eat at Le Cellier soon, I'm going through withdrawl!

Thank you, I'm hoping for the same thing, I need some FL sunshine! :goodvibes

I still have one more update, I probably won't get around to doing it til this weekend, though!

Yeah, I'd rather deal with a little more crowds and less rain! I can't deal with the rain in Disney anymore, I'm all rained out! I feel like if I see one drop in May I might freak out!! I hope both of our trips are rain free! :upsidedow

I haven't tried Le Cellier so I don't know what I am missing! :confused3

Can't we have both! Low Crowds and No Rain!?!?!?

Writing about the last day of WDW trip is the worst! The only thing that's going to console me when I finish up mine is that fact that I'll be going back in 2 weeks.:rotfl:

I'm sorry to see that your last day was not so great....Rain can put such a damper on things. But, even with the last day blues and the crummy weather, at least you were able to eat at Le Cellier and ride Soarin' one final time.:thumbsup2 Silver lining, and all...

Really loved your trip report! You made me laugh, and you made me feel nostalgic, as Wilderness is also my very favorite Disney resort! I love your taste in the Disney Dooney & Bourke bag. I'm actually contemplating buying it for myself on my May trip! Looking forward to reading your next TR!:)

Haha, yes, low crowds and no rain sounds perfect! :cool1:

I know, I have to finish this TR up with one last update and I couldn't do it this past week with Brandon home, I just had no DIS time, so I have to wrap it up this week! I'm so happy my next trip is in 2 weeks, I can't wait! Another TR to write! :cool1:

I'm really hoping for no rain on this next trip, I don't think I'd be able to handle it very well!

Thank you for reading, I'm glad you liked it! Isn't Wilderness Lodge the best? Even though we're not staying there on our next trip, we're already planning to visit it!

I really want another D&B bag, they're all so pretty! :lovestruc

Oh my gosh... if your trip was 23 days away nine days ago when you posted this update, that means that it is now 14 days aka TWO WEEKS! OMG.

Those kids sound obnoxious. There's a difference between being excited and behaving badly, and they sound like they were NOT being well behaved.

It looks like you got to see the geyser again!!! So there's that hahah.

I can't wait to try the pretzel bread and the chocolate moose. YUMMM.

Can't wait to read the wrap up! Hard to believe this is ending!

Just checked out your May pre-trip report, and we will just be missing each other. You leave the 10th, and we arrive in Miami the 10th for my nephew's graduation from the University of Miami, then we head on up to Disney on the 12th. Bummer. It would have been nice to cross paths just to say hi.:wave2:

I don't know how I missed these comments! I feel like I totally forgot about this TR in the last couple of weeks! I'm ready to finish it up tonight!

My trip is only 11 DAYS AWAY now! Isn't that amazing? 11 DAYS!!! I can hardly believe it!!! :cool1:

No, those kids were definitely not well behaved. I'm glad that didn't happen every morning or I would have been pretty unhappy!

Haha, yeah, I guess seeing the geyser again in the pouring rain is good!

Mmm Le Cellier...I cannot wait to go there again, I'm in withdrawl I think! I'm going to need some cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread the second I get on Disney property! :thumbsup2

Oh, that's too bad we're missing each other by a few days! We're actually leaving on the 9th :sad1: so it's a pretty short trip! I hope you have a great time while you're there! :woohoo:

*Sniffle* The END!! :(

Hi everyone! Wow, it's been a long time since I've updated here! I hope everyone has stuck around to read this last installment of my October TR! It's always nice to look back at your trip at the end of a TR and think about how everything went, what you might do differently, the good, the bad, the great, the not so great...

This trip was pretty much amazing! There were a few bad parts to it, such as my migraine on the first night and that annoying woman and her family at MNSSHP, the rain the last few days. Other than that, there was definitely much more good than bad!

The Resort(s):

P1000339.jpg

We loved the Wilderness Lodge, just as much as we loved it in 2009, it's a beautiful, peaceful resort and I have no complaints about it. The only thing I would do differently is schedule pool time! I can't believe we didn't go in the pool ONCE this entire trip!

If you remember, we also stayed in CSR for one night at the beginning of the trip, which Brandon nor I really cared for. However, I don't feel that I gave it a fair chance, since we were only there for a night and I had that awful migraine. I'd like to try it again, it's so pretty there and a lot of people seem to love it, however, Brandon said he never wants to go there again, so we'll see how that goes!

The Food:

P1000381.jpg

Eating at Le Cellier 3 times in one trip was a bit excessive, I admit, but it's our favorite, and it was spaced out over 10 days! :rotfl: I don't think we had a bad meal on this trip, we obviously love Le Cellier and Cape May, 2 of our favorites, and trying new places like Les Chefs de France, Via Napoli, and Artist Point were awesome! I just wish I didn't have that awful migraine the day we ate at Chefs because I don't think I enjoyed it as much as I could have. 'Ohana also became one of my favorites on this trip, but Brandon can take it or leave it, which is why we're skipping it in May. On our next trip, though, we are definitely going! Oh, and I finally got to try a cupcake from Starring Roles! I am so excited to try another one in May!

The Highlights (of course, these are not all of the highlights from the trip, just the ones that really stand out!):

-The Haunted Carriage Ride!

P1000758.jpg

Sooo much fun, I loved visiting Fort Wilderness and going on the carriage ride, I love that you get to listen to the story of Sleepy Hollow and that you see the Headless Horseman! I love the creepy feeling you get throughout the ride, like the Horseman is just going to jump out at you at any moment!

-The Food and Wine Festival!

P1000656.jpg

I absolutely love going to Disney during Food and Wine Festival time, I can't decide if I like going during this time or Christmas better! I can't believe we spent 10 days in Disney and there was still so much that we didn't get to try! I'd love to go for a long weekend someday and just concentrate on Epcot and sampling things from the booths. Epcot is always fun, but it's so much more festive during F&W!

-Mickey's No So Scary Halloween Party(ies)

P1000266.jpg

The Halloween Parties were a lot of fun, and I'm glad we decided to go to 2 so we could really see and do everything. The first one was sold out, which was crazy and it wasn't really as enjoyable as it could have been. The first one is also when that woman basically ruined the parade for me by asking Brandon and I to move and then saying really nasty things about us until we finally sat down. I've learned from that situation though, and the next time someone does something like that, I will definitely be speaking up. I don't want to get in an argument in Disney World, but I'm not going to be taken advantage of either because I don't have kids with me. :sad2:

The second party was much better, I loved the parade and the fireworks and the decorations, and the Fall is my favorite season. But if I had to choose between MNSSHP and MVMCP, the Christmas party would win. I'm just a Christmas girl, what can I say? I know the majority of DIS'ers prefer MNSSHP, and it's a great party, lots of fun, but I missed the MVMCP this year! :santa: I wish the Food and Wine Festival extended into December!

-Seeing Illuminations so many times!

P1000854.jpg

I think we watched Illuminations 3 or 4 times on this trip, and I never got sick of it! I love everything about this show, the music is beautiful, I love the combination of fireworks, lasers, and water, it's amazing! I can't wait to see it again in 11 days! :woohoo:

-Finally seeing Festival of the Lion King!

P1000583.jpg

I've been wanting to see this show for so long, and we finally got to do it on this trip, and it definitely did not disappoint, it was fantastic! I loved every second of it, the singing, the dancing, the tumble monkeys-all of it was awesome! I can't wait to see it again, it's definitely a must-do from now on!

-Going on our Favorite Rides over and over!

P1000516.jpg

Of course, a big part of any Disney trip is going on the rides, and one of our favorite things to do is go on our favorites as many times as we can! I love riding the Tower of Terror over and over, and I loved how many times we got to go on Soarin' in the time that we were there!

-Vinylmation trading!

P1000918.jpg

I'm so glad I started trading Vinylmations on this trip, it's so much fun! I was on a search for Buzz Lightyear on this trip, but I ended up with so many that I love! It's nice when you get an awesome CM that will help you find what you are looking for and that want to chat with you about them, it's just another fun little thing to do in Disney!

-And of course, the best thing about any Disney trip is spending so much time with Brandon!

Photo0007FourBySix.jpg

With the exception of the summer and a few random weeks throughout the year, we are on totally opposite work schedules, I work really early in the day and he works until 11 at night, so they only time we get to spend together is on the weekends and in the summer. Going on vacation and getting to spend the whole time together is amazing! He was actually home for a while before and after this trip because of his broken foot (which, by the way, he says still hurts and he thinks he will probably need surgery for because it's just not feeling any better ) which was nice, but it's always better to spend time together in Disney! :woohoo:

So that's it! I hope everyone enjoyed reading about my trip as much as I enjoyed writing about it! I'm so happy to have so many great DIS friends, it's nice to have a place to come when you just want to talk about Disney things and you know everyone is just as obsessed as you are, I'm so happy I found this place! :goodvibes I hope everyone will join me for my May TR when I start it in a few weeks, I'm hoping this TR will stay open until I get back so I can post a link here, but if not, I will definitely post it in my PTR! Thank you guys so much for reading and sticking with me over the last few months!

Oh, and one last thing-here are all of my Vinylmations that I ended up taking home:

IMG_1170.jpg

(I did have Hamm, but my niece insisted on keeping it! Hopefully I'll be adding more to my collection in a couple of weeks, and then maybe I can put up a shelf to display them or something!)

See you guys soon...on your TR's and hopefully my May TR!

:dance3:
