**Loving Aulani!** Anybody else here right now?

Just logging on to say how much we are loving Aulani -- we've not been here 24 hours and want to plan a return trip....

We are here now with you! We've been here since Sunday, April 15. The weather is breezy and sometimes cool if you're in the water, but we are loving the resort.

I have two DD's ages 8 and 10 and they love the pool and lazy river. We have a one bedroom villa with a pool view. We're on the third floor. I asked for a fifth floor room but didn't get my request. The good thing is that we are on the check in and little store level. It makes refilling our soda cups easy.

I'm happy to answer any questions.

Got in yesterday,resort is beautiful ocean view studio not so much.While you can see the ocean nicely we are on the 11 th floor and the view also includes a parking garage,LOTS of traffic,another tall building ( not Disney) and tennis courts for another resort.I never complain but feel there needs to be some "other" category for this type of room view. The ocean is there but there is a lot of stuff in the way! Not sure I would've spent the points if I knew.Not letting it bother me ,off to the ranch with ABD tours today!

Please report back with how the ranch and ABD excursions were. We are thinking of trying those during our trip in December.

We arrived yesterday. I heart Disney. It's our very first DVC stay... 2br pool view, but we're on the 5th floor with fab views of the ocean as well.

Not sure if it was a previous DISer or not, but there was a secret chocolate stack left behind the toaster ! Many thanks from our family to yours ! We'll be sure to pay it forward

Thankfully, we have another 8 nights here. Best money I ever spent - DVC.

I'm so glad many of you are enjoying Aulani. I read a review that stated that the Off the Hook Menu changed very recently and some of the favorites are now gone. Some of the missing items mentioned were fish tacos, the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries. (Some of hte better items per most of the reviews, I've read.) Can any of you confirm these new menu changes?

Also, is the Makihiki serving al a carte items? Any review on those?

We booked an ocean view as well, but asked for pool side upper floor. The view from our room (in EWA Tower) was incredible. We too were on the 11th floor. Based on the way the buildings are shaped, my *guess* is that when the additional EWA wings open, the pool side ocean view rooms won't have as nice a view (even though closer to the ocean) due to the angle.

I live about 20 miles away and I have to say it is hard to not drive there every weekend to hang out. Of course with gas prices the way they are now, it has been easier to resist lately. But I'm planning on having a stay-cation there in January!
