I'm still jealous of the weather you had at WDW. Grrrr. Oh well even a blazing hot trip to WDW is better than no trip at all. At least it wasn't humid.

I can't get over how different your DS looks w/out his glasses. Not that you didn't see it before, you can really see the resemblence in the two kids now.

I'm busy at work creating another convert, and am going to send her a link to your TR from last June. She and family are going the same week.

Can't wait to read more.

this was our first cruise ever. We love, love, LOVED it !! It was great going in with no expectations or anything to compare it to. Although, everyone told us, to never go with one of the other cruise lines because it wouldn't compare.

The weather on our trip was UN-believable. It is hotter here than it was there.

Our June trip was good one. One of our favorites.

The kids watched this movie in the car on the way to WDW and we all laughed out loud at this clip. The weather on our trip was so amazing and beautiful that it was a topic of conversation a good bit. Every time the subject came up and was discussed, one of the kids would say ... "Pudge controls the weather".

Pudge was good to us on our trip for sure

We also stayed at Kidani last month and enjoyed it. You're so lucky that you live within fairly easy distance to Disney World.

We LOVED AKL !!! It is nice to be within a pretty easy driving distance. I think we wouldn't get to go as much if we had to fly, so I am happy with driving.

Day 1 – Part Two

Animal Kingdom Lodge

We went inside to check things out. This was a gathering room with a fireplace.

We just loved the theming.

We went back outside to check out the pool

I have more pool photos later. The splash park was amazing and the kids were excited to get out to swim.

After about an hour we got a text that our room was ready. YAY !!!

We had a fifth floor room. One bedroom – Savannah view. And it was awesome !!

Animals from our balcony. Giraffes are my favorite !!

Be ready for lots of giraffe photos. They brought their food out every afternoon and placed in this feeder up in the tree, so we got to see them a lot.

I really do think AKL has the best theme execution out of any of the resorts. It really is just amazing there!

This was our first time staying there, so we were really excited about it. It was so much fun to see the animals every day. You would see different animals during different parts of the day. The view was amazing.

I love all the photos of all the little room/lobby details. We always take the time to observe all these little things too, it makes the experience so much better!

I love AKL. It's such a beautiful resort. The room is beautiful. I actually haven't seen the rooms in Kidani yet.
