Hello! Welcome and come along for my Spring Break 2012 Photography TR! After 29 trips you would think I would have done a TR this before!!:goodvibes This trip will take us through all 4 parks, DTD, POR and of course we will be seeing lots of FOOD!

I’m a mom from the Midwest and I went to WDW for the first time in high school with the band as we preformed in MK and Epcot (I was a Color Guard gal). I later became a travel agent and our office’s Disney Specialist. This gave me the opportunity to frequent WDW and see so many extras an average tourist doesn’t take time to do. Although I’m no longer a travel agent, we still attempt to go to WDW every year or every other as time and $ allows.

In my spare time I've tried to become a self taught semi decent photographer. I love taking photos at WDW and have learned the art of shooting on the run to keep up with the family. I love the rides where the family goes without me and I have 20 minutes to go shoot without them having to wait on me. :lmao:

On this trip were me, my DH, DD18, DS15 and DS friend also 15.

We stayed at POR March 23-April 1 in the AB section.

We had building 36, room 3645. It was our least expensive option with 5 people and worked out great. We arrived at noon and our room, in the new refurbished section was ready. I had chose not to do on line check in so I could be sure that my request were made before I was give a room assignment. Our check in was quick and easy. The lady we checked in with lacked Disney Magic. Not really welcoming at all, maybe just a bad day.:worried:
We did have a second floor room which was not ay favorite but I had forget to request lower level so my fault. We had a garden view room which was very nice and pretty. I usually don’t worry about the “view” too much, we don’t really spend that much time in our room to enjoy it. But when the kids are older and I’m not running all the time, Board walk Balcony, here I come!!!

So I have a rule of thumb my family is very used to. "Do not enter the room with anything until I have photos!!!" We arrive at our room, they move to the side and let me go in and shoot away. When the "all clear" is given, we move in. :lmao:

Our room was refurbished and beautiful. The bedding is very nice quality.

Storage is a problem if you like to unpack so extra hangers would be handy. The only drawer space are the the drawers you see under the Murphy bed and the drawer beside the beds in the night table. I was very happy with the size of the 5th person bed. It was bigger than what I had thought.

We also had brought a twin size air bed which we had placed by the window. By moving the table over a little and putting a chair behind the door, there was plenty of room.

The coffee maker is a single cup style, but you can make two cups at a time (side by side) or just hot water for tea.

There are also a couple of shelves next to the fridge to help hold items.

The bathroom is separated from the room by a curtain. The theme is very nice with the washboard and tile floor. Under the sink is all open so we stored small suitcases and duffels under there.

Even the carpet has a "rustic" look!!

Our room was very clean and never had any issues with Mousekeeping.

We felt a little off with out our storage. I like to unpack into the drawers (that have been wiped out) and then we put all dirty clothes into the suitcases. It's easy for my kids to know what is clean and what is dirty and it saves packing time at departure since most everything is already packed.

So what do you think Mike..... she shoots Nikon. Should we give her a bunch of grief?

joining in - I'm the same with the room - no-one moves until photos are done :goodvibes: and bedding has been checked for bugs ;)

At your invitation, I'm over here stalking from the POR thread :) Looking forward to more photos and hearing how a family of 4 does with an extra teen in the room - aren't you a nice mom :thumbsup2

Can't wait to share more, even if they are Nikon images!!!

Reading your trip report and seeing your pictures is the perfect way to spend my time before our next trip! We'll be at POR in 8 days! My 3rd time, my mom's first! :)
