An everchanging Sept PTR (update 7-15 What will we wear and Day 5 plans)

Your dining plans look good!

I am contemplating trying Sci-Fi on this trip. My other thought though is to do Mama Melrose F! package.

We are hoping to do Ohana for breakfast too!

Who knows....we may see y'all on the Sunday night during MNSSHP! Our plan is also to do dinner at Cosmic Ray's.

HI! I'll join in since our dates are the same! :)

DH and I are planning on doing the TOT race too. I'm so sure you can do the 10mile! My mom and I completed the Princess 1/2 and we were NOT runners before that. We completed it, had fun, and came out alive! Did you look at the training plans from Jeff Galloway on the RunDisney site? That is what we followed for the 1/2 and it was right on!
My mom takes our Disney trips with us so she is staying with our boys while DH and I party!! Well, as long as we can stay awake! :)

Can't wait to see more plans!

You have some great dining plans! Love O'hanas for breakfast and the characters are great.

We have never done the luau show. I need to check it out some time. It looks like fun.

Jess make sure you have some back up plans for dinner Saturday night at Epcot. Lines for F&W booths on a Saturday night can get really long, especially for the popular stuff. And we know hungry + long wait (can) = meltdown

Love the flexible dining choices! We've never done Spirit of Aloha; I'm looking forward to your review! :flower:

F! package sounds like fun, we don't have plans to watch that show this trip.

Great dining plans! I like how flexible they are. :thumbsup2

Thanks, as you know flexibility is key in my home

looks like fun!

Thanks :)

Hello and Welcome!!! Yes I used the Jeff Galloway plans too, right now it's just about finding time to do it. My Mom is coming with me too :goodvibes

We have been talking about seeing the Luau since Jack was 3 (he is now 7), just wan't sure he was ready before now. We are all very excited about that meal/experience

Jess make sure you have some back up plans for dinner Saturday night at Epcot. Lines for F&W booths on a Saturday night can get really long, especially for the popular stuff. And we know hungry + long wait (can) = meltdown

Thanks Heidi, I was going to bring the boys some snacks that night for waiting, but I think we have scratched Epcot completely for that day, as the touring plans has it now as being VERY busy

Thanks Kathy, I'm sure there will be LOTS of pictures, video being taken, possibly by Jack ;) I may have to get him his own camera for this trip

Well you know that old saying "When it Rains it Poors?" It's been raining pretty hard over here. I keep trying to make lemonade out of the lemons that keep getting thrown at me, but my pitcher is over flowing. Looking forward to a get a way now then ever, just sad I have to wait so long.

I haven't had much time for planning, but with some rest and family time planned for this weekend I should be able to post an update on our trip later today or tomorrow :goodvibes

Where we will rest our heads has taken many turns both before beginning this PTR and even most recently...

So like I said before, originally this trip was planned for a week earlier. At that time we were looking into staying here:
Disneys-Pop-Century-Resort.jpg

Then when I heard about the upcoming race and we changed our dates to the following weekend, I studied all the previous race information listed for hotels. This was in an attempt to guess at where we could book our room. Race info had not been released yet. So we booked here:
CBRpirateroom.jpg

Well the race info got released and originally that was not an option, so we looked into these two hotels:

with the pin my mom had, there weren't any rooms left at the reduced rate at POFQ so we booked the All Star Sports.

Then I checked the race info page again and saw CBR was listed as one of the race hotels, either I missed it the first time, or it got added after. But we did not switch. So as it stands today, we are booked at All Star Sports (which is where my son Jack, the 7 yo wants to stay- he got nervous about the pirate room, and I have stayed previously).

However... Come on you knew this was coming:rolleyes1

This is going to sound strange, but with the lemons I've had thrown at me comes some lemonade in the form of possibly being able to have a longer stay for me and the boys. So with this extended stay we are looking at doing a split stay beginning here:
Fort_Wilderness_cabin.jpg

The idea of staying here has me excited, so excited that I can't wait to tell the boys if it actually happens as it is on our bucket list for places to stay in WDW. We would arrive to Florida now as early as Sunday Sept 23 and stay in the cabin until Friday, where we would move to the All Star Sports for the race events. And then leave Sunday instead of Monday to head home. We should know within the next two weeks if we will be making the change. Heres to hoping:goodvibes

Stay tuned to see if we get to make the change...

How exciting that y'all may get to stay longer & stay at one your bucket list resorts! :thumbsup2 Sending some pixie dust your way that it will all come to fruition! pixiedust:

Well, as you saw on my PTR, I'm all about changes! I can't wait to hear your changes! popcorn::

I just finally read your latest update... Wow! I can't wait to hear what you decide. I've always been very intrigued by the cabins. I think the thing holding me back is that the largest bed is only a double... that would not work for us. If they ever upgrade the beds to queens, I'm sure we'll stay there. We love the outdoorsy feeling of camping but I'm not sure I'd want to actually camp at Disney. The cabins are the next best thing.

I hope it work out that you can make this change!! :cool1:

Hi Amy, hope you are having a fabulous time in the world right now. My new update with all the changes coming up next:)

Through a series of fortunate and unfortunate events our trip has taken a new direction. For many different reasons my husband and I have decided I will homeschool our kiddos next year, this lead to a ton of research both for home and for our Disney trip. This research is what has changed our whole trip, and is making this a completely new PTR.
I hope you’ll stay on board with all the twists and turns that are forming…

Lets begin with our new trip dates. Instead of going to Disney from Thurs Sept 27- Mon Oct 1, we will now go Sunday Sept 2- Sunday Sept 9. I’m excited about getting to add on so many days, and it will definitely help give our trip a slightly more relaxed feel to it, and allow us to feel no pressure to cram everything in. Plus we now will be on the dining plan and are adding a lot more restaurants to the mix. (Joey is very excited about this since he is all about the food)

With the change in dates MNSSHP is out, since it isn’t offered that early in the month. This is the only part the boys will be sad about. But a new special event has been added into our trip. Jack and I will attend Night of Joy on one of the evenings. He is very much looking forward to this, and so am I.

As for resorts, we have gone back to our very original plan and are hoping to stay at POP. I say hoping, because the transfer has not been made official yet. I’m now working with a wonderful travel agent, and am waiting for Disney to transfer my reservation to her so she can start working some magic for us.

So join us on this new adventure and see what fun we are planning for our next Disney Adventure.

First off...I'll give you this....:worship:....for homeschooling your children. I just don't know that I would have the patience to do that & I only have one! :rotfl: Although, I have considered it!

But, how exciting that you get to add on more Disney time! :yay:

I hope all goes well with the reservation transfer & that you are able to get POP! Can't wait to hear more details....

It's official, our reservation has been switched, we got a room at POP for Sept 2-9 with 5 day base tickets and free dining, so we are all set and ready to begin the real planning again:goodvibes

I of course already have a General Touring Plan prepared for what park we will visit on what day so I can plug in our dining options since we are now on the Dining Plan. :woohoo: I have 7 TS and 7 QS credits to plan for, hoping to have that sorted out and finalized :rolleyes1 (yeah right, lets see how many times I change plans) and will book our new dining reservations tomorrow

Lots going on over here in our "real" lives, and tons of list making, planning, and fun in our "Disney" lives, will start sharing some plans soon and am working on a new countdown calendar, since the old one I began preparing was Halloween themed

Sounds like I am joining at the right time. I'm disappointed to see that we will just miss each other by a week.:sad2:

So excited that you are getting to stay longer and enjoy all that food.

And I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that they have an early MNSSHP, we went Labor Day Weekend in 2009. So it is possible.

Hi Melissa, Welcome. I know when I changed my dates I went back to look at yours and was bummed that I would just miss ya.

Good to know about MNSSHP but I'm not getting my hopes up because they will already have the Night of Joy that Friday and Saturday so Mk will be closing early those two nights for that event. Which we are going to:cool1:

Update with some dining plans coming up...
