AKV- studio or one bed?

I think I have my jan 2013, 9 night stay narrowed down to AKV. Wang to stay savannah view.....but trying to decide if a one bedroom is worth almost double the cost? Renting points.

It will be myself and DH for marathon weekend.

I'm assuming that when you mention Marathon weekend, it's because at least one of you is running the Marathon. If not, never mind. But assuming I'm right, I'd go for the 1 BR. DH and I have done sometimes studios, sometimes 1 BRs. It so happened that for the Wine and Dine 1/2 marathon he ran, we reserved a studio. Afterwards, I so wished I'd splurged for the 1 BR. More restful, bigger bed, laundry to wash used running clothes, full kitchen for snacks, jacuzi tub, just generally more relaxing. After 26.2 miles, don't you deserve it?

Thanks. So true....that jacuzzi tub is what I'm thinking. Yes, I will be running my first full. . Thinking it will be a great place for him to cheer me on. I assume the bus picks up there.

Another good reason-you might see us there! DH is also planning (hoping now) to run his first WDW Marathon. It's been many years (about 30) since he ran a marathon, but he wants to do the WDW one. However, he just found out he'll need Hernia surgery soon, which has suspended his training, so it remains to be seen if he'll be ready for a full marathon in January. But if so, AKV is probably where we'll stay.

We stayed at AKV Kidani for this year's marathon weekend, in a dedicated 2 bedroom, savannah view. It was wonderful!
