The release for Brave is 8 days before we sail on the Fantasy. Do you think it will be shown during our cruise?

Also when you are in the theater are you allowed to bring in snacks? popcorn, candy, etc?

Usually if a Disney movie is in the theaters (and afterwards) it is on the ship. This is a big deal movie for Disney so I would say yes.

You can bring in of snacks, they even sell them outside the theatre.

If it is a Disney movie, it will be on the ship. If it is distributed by a Disney company or has other ties, it is a "maybe."

Do you think Chimpanzee will be showing on the ships then once its released? I believe April 20th it comes out. My cruise is on May 6. Possibly?

You can call DCL to check within a couple of weeks of your cruise.

From the FAQ thread:
Movies - You can call 888-325-2500, choose the reservations option, then ask what movies will be showing the week you cruise.

I would bet money that both Brave and Chimpanzee will be onboard.....probably showing through the Holidays. DCL tends to keep movies playing for a long time onboard.

I'm set to sail on April 22nd on the Wonder and I called DCL two days ago about Chimpanzee....they said yes, it will be on the boat. I'm sure The Brave will be too. I was on the Magic when The Proposal came out. It was being released in the states on that Friday, so Disney had the Premear of it at 11:00 p.m. on that Thursday night....so much fun with a big cup of coffee from the dining room and we practically wore our pajamas.

I called the number and was told that the movie rotation slated for the end of the month on my MAgic cruise (Apr30th)

Dang! Our cruise is June 9 - June 16. I doubt we get Brave....one cruise too early. I know on the Allure we got Kung Fu Panda 2 early. It would be nice if DCL could slip it in early. Keeping fingers crossed!

Darn it, eeyoremommy! I'm one cruise too early, too! This is the one movie I've been DYING for my dad to watch with my kids, and he's coming on the cruise with us. Bummer to miss it.
I'll have to take the 5hr-drive visit to my parents' house and take them all out, after our cruise.

We sailed over Memorial weekend the year Earth came out, and they showed it on the Wonder!

We sail in August, on the Dream, I wonder what the chances are that it's still showing then!

I will do BACKFLIPS (OK, I'll attempt backflips, and then you all can laugh at me when I fall down ) if Brave is shown on the June 11-18th Alaska Wonder trip!!!

What is Brave's release date? If the release date is while you are on the ship, you can attend the midnight premEAR.
