Anyone heard about AMC Dine-In Theatres coming to WDW in May?

They're already open! Have been for about a year now I think. I haven't tried it personally, but I think it's a good idea, and I've read good reviews.

Wow, thank you, I guess I must have read the wrong date LOL. I think it's a neat concept too. Thank you for the input. :goodvibes

anyway to get an extended listing of what movies are going to be shown? Do you know if we can use AMC giftcards there (can buy them at Target and save my 5%)

You can use AMC giftcards. A better savings option than the 5% from Target is Plastic Jungle. They almost always have them listed for 13% off and occasionally run specials of up to 14% off.:thumbsup2

I would definitely recommend this if you want to catch a movie while you're there. We usually do and did the dine-in theater for the first time on our last trip and it was pretty awesome. We've already stocked up on GCs to go again this year. It was pretty decent food and the seats are much more comfortable than the regular theater seats.

I saw PotC 4 in the AMC dine-in theater in Downtown Disney last June. It was awesome!

I saw Hangover 2 here last year, and it was way better than I thought. The seats give you so much room and are soo comfortable. I believe they serve alcoholic beverages but I only ordered fries, and although they were overpriced they weren't that bad for movie theatre food. I was impressed.

We saw pirates of the carribbean this way last summer and loved it. We are planning to see Brave this summer. One thing I would advise is to make reservations as soon as you can for your trip. Getting seats together was tricky and there were only 2 of us.

Can you make ressies online? How far in advance are they normally available?

I live near two of them. They're fantastic ... A little expensive for casual movie-going, considering the price of a ticket these days, but well worth it once you're in that big seat with a cold beer. The food: meh.

Buy tickets online well in advance to get the best seats (they're assigned).
