oooooh, good tip...packing sporks now on my "to do" list :lmao:

Borrowing friends park bag and just got it from her yesterday. I will have to make sure the sporks are packed in there.

Do they make virgin Lapu Lapus? Or just anything in that pineapple? My daughter would flip out being able to eat one of those. :goodvibes

Yes, they make virgin Lapu, Lapus- but I think they are around the same price. I saw a post - on this thread, I think - where the parent's had bought one for the kids and it was filled with Sprite. My daughter would love it too!

Spork run last night thanks to the DIS boards! I had to take one for the team and eat at KFC….Not my favorite chicken (no flames please), but in the interest of fully enjoying a Lapu Lapu it was worth the sacrifice.:)

Thanks for the tip, 9 days to go….tick, tick, tick…..I swear the last 10 days are the worst as planning is done and all there is left to do is wait and pack.
Now I can wish away the crowds and hope for an amazing week at the Poly!

Mike :wizard: DW princess: DS (4) pirate: DMIL princess:

First visit 1976, last visit WDW 2/2010 BC CL and DL GC 12/2010, future WDW 4/2012 POLY TPV, 7/2012 (off site meeting), 4/2013 POLY with Disney Dream cruise!

The school I work at has sporks in the cafeteria so I know where to get them. Problem is I don't like pineapple:confused3 But my husband does and I'm sure he will appreciate the sporks;)

On the adult cocktail front I was thinking that the Minute Maid Lite Pom Lemonade would be a nice mixer with some vodka. Fill up the refillable mug and add a shot (or two). Anyone ever try that? Otherwise, I will be sticking to the Longboard beer because I'm not that into fruity drinks.

I *think* Taco Bell has sporks, too...or at least they used to. I'm not a big fan, but DH loves it ~ he'll be happy (and wonder what's up) if I suggest eating there, but looks like I'll have to so I can fully enjoy a Lapu Lapu!

Our Taco Bell does have the sporks but that is because it is a KFC/Taco Bell combo restaurant.

I'm afraid to let DH do the laundry ... and I'm sure that was his plan all along! :lmao:

I am SSOOOOOO lucky. My beloved late MIL was really good at laundry and took a lot of pride in it. She could get out any stain imaginable and was very persnickity about everything. We always laugh that she passed on the "laundry" gene to my husband and his sister. They both like to do laundry and have that same carefullness(is that a word?) that they take with everything. I do laundry at home about half the time and he does the other half depending on his work schedule. On vacation he does it all....

My DH isn't much into fruity drinks. but when he is not having a beer, he loves the vodka lemonade they serve at the beach bar.. Don't remember if they called it electric lemonade or ???? but it is good. He has also admitted to secretly liking my Pina Colavas from the bar. If you are playing the role of bartender......vodka with some crystal light rasberry lemonade is DELISH :woohoo: You can buy the singles and shake it up in a bottle of water to use as your mixer before pouring into your mug.

I like the way you think! Crystal Lite singles with some vodka is a fab idea for when I'm the bartender, thanks! Sounds like I may have to try a few other drinks from the pool bar as well. Electric Lemonade sounds like something I would like.

If you have an iPhone, you can download Sleep Machine Lite for free. It has tons of background noise sounds and works like a charm. Then you have your sound machine where ever you go!

Thanks for the tip! I'm downloading it now and will test it out!

Had my pedicure done today!

SO CUTE!

Very Cute. I wish my feet were this cute. I have runner's feet. Yuck. Nice legs from all my running, but UGLY feet. I hide them in water shoes.

 I'm also a runner and who would have thunk that all that good for you running would require so much maintainance for your feet! I've got some good acid stuff that burns it down to baby smooth skin. It's better than it sounds :lmao:

I'm planning on trying a Lapu Lapu this upcoming trip ~ NO I've never had one!!! :scared1: But, I was wondering...where it is served in a pineapple, do you tend to get a bunch of pineapple pulp in the drink??? I don't like pulp.

I don't like pulp either but I've never noticed 'pulp' like OJ pulp in my lapu lapu. Although I adore pineapple so I may not have cared...or maybe the rum got to me before I could formulate a sentence...

Do they make virgin Lapu Lapus? Or just anything in that pineapple? My daughter would flip out being able to eat one of those. :goodvibes

They make tons of yummy virgin drinks - frozen and on ice - for the kids! And yes, get it in a pineapple but be ready to spork out your money ;)

A couple years ago, the Poly served an X-rated lemonade. It was X-fusion liqueur (passion fruit flavored) with vodka and minute maid lite. It was delicious!!! I now buy the ingredients at home for a refreshing drink that is not too sweet (and lower on calories with a mixer that has only 10 calories per 12 oz!) Now they have a poolside lemonade you can get at just about any pool bar at Disney. It's very similar but I'm not sure they use the X-fusion brand anymore. And if you bring your own vodka, you could certainly mix it with the minute maid lite they have at the refillable mug station - it tastes good just like that! :thumbsup2

Sounds yummy!

At the airport getting ready to board our flight to (hopefully) sunny Orlando. :)

Have a magical trip!

I was just reading about some new cupcakes at Capt. Cook's. They sound delicious!

So what do all of you think of Capt. Cook's? What is your favorite item there (ok, I know Dole whips but besides those)? I am interested in trying the Grown Up or Adult Grilled Cheese. They look pretty good. We won't be eating there too much due to being in the parks and ADR's but probably will stop in our first day and our pool day.
