Swimming pool at BLT. Hike it over to Contempo pool instead?

I'm seeing mixed reviews on the pools. I have a 10 and 12 year old that love slides and I like to sit in a chaise with a cold, fruity adult beverage. Where would we be better off?

CT - better slide, less busy, if pool isn't larger it sure feels like it.

I think BLT was rehabbing the slide recently. Maybe it's gotten better (it had some pretty strong seams at first that as an adult I felt too well).

Lots more available pool chairs at the Contemporary, as opposed to BLT. We find it very hard to find open pool chairs at the BLT pool, but can usually always find one over at the Contemporary, especially around the smaller pool over the lake. My boys enjoyed both pool slides, but ended up spending more time at the Contemporary.

We often bounce between the two. Certainly have always found the Contemporary's pool to be far quieter. This then becomes an issue with DD, and then she yearns to be back with more kids.

we just got back and the contemporary slide was closed...not sure when it will open up again. my kids didn't want to leave the blt because of it

We just got back from a stay at BLT last week...there is ZERO comparison between the 2 pools...the Contemporary wins hands down. I thought the BLT pool was a total joke. It was WAAAAAY too small and very overcrowded. The lounge chairs literally all touch each other. There is NO personal space. The pool itself was a lifeguards nightmare - every time we were there I saw a guard jump in at least once to pull some 3 yr old toddler out of the way of the slide dump out. I didn't go down the slide - DH & DS tested it out and said the seams were rough and hurt their backs so I didn't bother. I think they only tried it a couple of times before they decided it was more torture than fun. The Contempory slide was closed last week for some refurbishments but the pool itself was huge and not crowded at all because of its size. There was also a "quiet pool" for adults and PLENTY of lounge chairs...no need to be on top of anyone else at all. It was WONDERFUL. I wouldn't bother with the BLT pool at all. I didn't really see any kids at the BLT pool that weren't toddlers.

I recommend you test both out. Its easy enough to just walk over to the Contemporary pool soaking wet from BLT. We find the real problem with the BLT pool is that in the afternoon, BLT blocks out the sun, so if you're looking for rays, you'll have to go next door. Have fun.

Few pool questions...

How are the pool bars at BlT and Cont. pools? Can you order food there? Trying to plan for July...I know the pools will be pretty busy in the summer, so I am thinking we will be at the pool at the Contemporary based on what i am reading.

Also, DD loves the pool parties/
activities. Do they have them at both pools?

DW and I tend to prefer the BLT pool over the CR pool. I like the deeper depth at BLT, lusher vegetation and better scenery. We usually bring down a tasty lunch and beverages from our villa. Each to their own preferences.
