Suggestions for THV "room request"?

We will be staying at THV in June (we made our reservation awhile ago so no worries about that). We've never stayed there before and wanted to get some suggestions and opinions about what would be a good villa or area to request. Everyone in my signature plus another teenage girl will be going. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. TIA!!

If you have special needs, there is only 1 or 2 cabins for that. Make that request very early.

A car is highly recommended!! but any visitors will have a tough time parking.

If you are going by bus, you want a cabin near the entrance has obvious advantages.

i stayed there last january and will be staying there again in 38 days! you'll love it!

my advice is to request a treehouse in the southernmost part of the treehouse area. that way, it's just a short walk to the grandstand bus stop. you can skip the treehouse bus all together. i never took it last time. you just walk to the grandstand bus stop and that is the first stop at SSR so you will always get a seat! i would say it took 5 minutes to walk to the grandstand stop. maybe 7. super easy.

We just returned from Treehouses on Monday and had Treehouse 7059. This was an AWESOME location! We were right across the street from the walkway to SSR and the bus stop was just next to that. The pool was also right next door. VERY convenient!!

We loved 7025. Right on the water, a short walk to the bus stop, boat dock, pool and path. Have fun!

If you have a car, request close to the top part of the resort, if not request toward the bottom (ie: walking trail to Grandstand). We've stayed here 3 times now and love it!!! We have requested the lower portion and have always got it. This last time, we were two villas down from the boat launch so that was great. Out the master, we could see the boat come and go! If you do have a car, remember only 1 per villa, and make sure it is on the smaller side. I've seen near accidents where the buses can't get around the longer SUV/trucks and they actually have to go off the road a little.

We love the THV's for the feel of being away from it all.

When you say the southernmost part, do you mean the treehouses in the 7030's?

We were on the water (so to speak) in August and December- no bugs to speak of. However, in August it was so blazing hot, you could not enjoy the deck. But there were a slew of treefrogs. We loved listening to them! I assume that because they congregated on the lights, that they helped control the bug population!

For our November stay we requested "south end, canal view" and got 7030 -- perfect location for us. We were right next to the path to SSR, short distance to bus stop and pool, and also close to boat dock. We loved the separateness of the THV.

Hey neighbor -My brother lives in Woodstock and parents are in Eastford. We stayed in 7032 in Feb loved the location to SSR, buses, boat and pool.

7030 is our favorite and that is what we now request after we got it the first time staying there. We have also been in 7039 which is on the golf course side (can be a little scary hearing the golf balls in the trees around you- we actually picked up 6+ random lost balls under our villa). At Christmas, we were in 7023, two from the boat launch. It was still a quick walk to the walkway to the grandstand and close to the quiet pool.

If you like being away from the hustle and bustle, you will like it. If you like to be in the middle of the action, you won't. We love that we feel like it is our very own home, and rarely see/hear your neighbors like you do in the other villas.

Our daughters loved to ride the boat to the carriage house and to DTD so I would request near a boat dock or nearest the rest of SSR for the convenience of the bus.

Thank you everyone!!! I called and put in a request for a south end, canal view treehouse. Now we just have to cross our fingers and hope we get it! Thanks again for all the input!
