We will be boarding Disney Dream on May 13, 2012 My daughter is 6 years old and I would like to, if possible, pair her up with a friend(s) that she could talk to beforehand then meet on the cruise. Is there anyone else boarding this cruise with children around her age that would want to do the same?

Here is a link to the official "meet" group for your cruise. Check and see if there are any young ladies her age that might want to become cyber-friends before you sail. Enjoy your cruise!

Have you checked out the Meet thread for this cruise. That is where you will find others who have children possibly your child's age.

Many people have their friends make friends before the cruise by parents talking and emailing, etc.

Post this over there and I am sure you will get some responses.

Darn!!! wish you were going just a few weeks earlier!! Would LOVE to pair our 5 1/2 year old with someone her age to hang out with I know she would love it! Is your daughter going to go to the kids club on board? ? I am hoping our daughter will meet someone there that she enjoys playing with!

Thanks for the redirection, I did post to that thread then realized it was 15 pages long!!! I will have to read through it when I have more time!

It doesn't help beforehand, but if you didn't request a small table in the dining rooms, there is a good chance your daughter will meet a tablemate to be friends with. On our cruise last year was had our 2 daughters (3yo and infant) and were at a table with another couple with 2 daughters (4yo and infant). Our server told us that Disney tries to match ages when seating families together. 10 minutes into our first night at AP and they were having a great time and entertaining the little ones too!

I understand, I would love to have our daughter get excited in advance about meeting a friend for her while on the cruise too to play with in the kids club. Good luck!
