AK meals

Are you asking about 'Ohana for dinner? Our experience in 2009 was that they were more than happy to get kids meals for my boys once I realized that they wouldn't eat the regular food. They got hot dogs and fries, but I know there were other options as well. FYI, we were on the dining plan and were not charged anything different or extra for the kids meal (just one TS credit as usual), and they also brought my 2 year old (too young for DDP) one as well, free of charge. Hope that helps!

Animal Kingdom has Tusker House for breakfast and lunch as a character meal, and we loved it for breakfast that same trip. Super yummy food!

Tusker House is a character meal for both breakfast and lunch.

Ohana is a family style meal. For dinner they have salad, chicken wings, dumplings, broccoli, noodles, and then various meats (pork, chicken, shrimp), bread pudding. I think I mentioned everything they have. :goodvibes

Yes, is was asking about Ohana for dinner:) I would love to eat there but my kids are so picky so I'm happy to hear they could hot dog and fries:thumbsup2

I know, we were SO impressed by our server at that meal...he really was fantastic. To the OP, I would not worry one bit about your kids finding something to eat. Like I said, I know there were additional kids meal options we were offered, and I am sure if I had asked, they would have brought those out even sooner. I just had hope that my kids might eat the regular food...yeah, right! We LOVED 'Ohana. If you want to see a review of it, I have one on our trip report here: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=33661562&postcount=47

We really enjoyed Tusker House breakfast/brunch both times that we went (Donald-picture outside, Mickey, Goofy, Daisy). We went to AK on an EM morning, so we rode a few things and got fast passes, then headed to brunch (like 10 am).

Ohana offered my son a kid's meal both times (when he was 2 and when he was 5). I almost wish they didn't the last time b/c he would eat their regular food (I am the kind of mom that tells me kid that Mexican restaurants only have Mexican food, Chinese restaurants only have Chinese food, etc.---too bad he can read now :rotfl:)
