Great hotel have stayed there a few times and yes it still is the only 3.5* category in all 8 geographic zones for Buffalo so you can bid up to 8 times within a 24hr period. Usually you can get it for $60 when bidding a few days before your stay. Leave your car for free and take shuttle even when booking on priceline. Someone just reported getting it for $60 over on another canadian forum.

I've stayed there as well. A friend asked and I don't want to send her down the wrong path.

Thank you

Great to know! Are you talking about Buffalo Marriot Niagara? I don't need to book the "Park here Fly there" package to get the benefit? What if I need to park 16 or 17 nights, do they allow? I don't mind to pay a fee for extra days.

Yes it is the Buffalo Marriott Niagara. I have left vehicle for 12 days without any issue. All you do is register your licence plate at front desk and when you are returning and take free shuttle to airport. It is much cheaper than any park and fly rate and is a great hotel.

Does anyone have any experience with staying there with 6 people? The max it allows is 5, but our kids are small and can share beds easily.

Bad News everyone. :(
There is now another hotel that is 3.5*, and it's right around the corner from the Marriott! The hotel Indigo could be the 'winner' on bidding on Priceline. Be very careful what you bid for right now.
Maybe we'll luck out come November and they'll remove it again...

Hi,

When people sat they got the Mariott at $60 do they mean $40+fees and taxes or do they mean $60 + other costs?

We're flying out net wk :cool1:

Thanks,

John

I have been researching this topic and other Buffalo Airport hotels for at least 3 days:headache:
I've read every old thread I could get my hands on as well.
Bottom line is I went up to 90 dollars on Priceline and couldn't get it for the end of April. It's still early though so it's a possibility. Also.. there are reports on other forums that some people had to pay for parking and others did not with Priceline reservations in the last few months. I don't want to risk it.

So with all that in mind I just went ahead and booked it for 149.00 plus taxes on the Mariott site. In the end, it covers our parking for over 10 days which would have been almost a hundred dollars anyway. Our flight is early in the morning so the 160 all in didn't seem bad to start our vacation on the right foot and stay in a decent hotel.

We'll let the kids swim, have dinner and get a good nights sleep for the early morning ahead. Well worth 160 to me.:)

60.00 + taxes.
I got it twice.
Once for 60.00 and another one for 59.00. With all taxes, final price is around U$ 77.00.

Pigletto, one way to clear this up is calling the hotel to confirm if they offer Park-and-fly packages. Everytime I am about to book with Priceline (twice so far), I call them up just to see if the policy has changed.

Having said that, if you are willing to pay 160.00 (full price) for the Marriott, I would strongly recommend you checking the StayBridge and Suites and possibly cancel the Marriott if it makes sense.

I left my review with lots of details here :http://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserR...Suites_Buffalo_Airport-Clarence_New_York.html

Please check with trinityreservations to see how much it would cost you for your date.
Please remember stayBridge includes hot breakfast and, if you are going on a week day, it also includes light dinner the night before. I left my car with both hotels and (although both are great choices) I would recommend the StayBrdige and Suites.

For $149 I would pick a hotel much closer to the airport. IMHO the advantage of the Marriott is getting a cheap price on priceline but if you are willing to pay $149 there are lots of nice options right on Genesee just minutes from the airport.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I am a little torn on what to do. We've stayed at the Days hotel before (5 or more years ago) right across from the airport. It was fine, nothing special but clean. It was coming out to pretty much the same price as the Marriott though:confused3

Fairfield Inn and Suites was waaaayyy higher. Close to 300 I believe? And the Choice hotels kept telling me they were full for our dates so I started to get nervous that I wouldn't find anything.

My reservation can be cancelled without penalty up until the day before. So I'll keep looking. I can get the Staybridge Suites through Trinity reservations for 112.00 on the Friday night I think. Is that a safe place to book with? I saw an older thread that recommended it but I wasn't sure if it's still a safe bet. How far is it from the airport?

Any other recommendations near the airport?

It's the same distance form the airport compared to the Marriott (maybe a bit closer).
When I went (November of last year), it took 12 minutes going to the airport and 15 minutes to go back (rush hour).

In terms of amenities and service, I found the StayBridge better that the Marriott. If you're going on a Friday night, it doesn't include the dinner, but you still have the breakfast which may cost you 30.00 or more if you have kids.

Good luck with your decision....

Thank you again for your help. The reviews here and on trip advisor were very positive and it was 102.00 for the night through Trinity Reservations. That is pretty much exactly what it will cost us to park at the airport!
So I booked it:)

I'll write a report when we get back in case anyone else is on the fence about this property. It's 10 minutes away according to Mapquest. I am looking forward to it and it was nice to save some money compared to the Marriott reservation I had. Thank you again:)

OK now I'm interested too lol. I wanna look around at this hotel as well so am I booking on Trinity or directly? We are going August, so is it too early to get a deal?

Just google Trinity reservations buffalo airport and that should find it. I read a great thread from here from last year where many people used them and had a great experience. I also found positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Enough that I am willing to give it a try:)

I don't know if it's too early for August but you might want to wait a bit because I looked at it last early last week and it went down this week. So maybe a bit cheaper depending on when you go?
We're pretty close to the border so if anything was really wrong we could come home for the night or grab another hotel we are familiar with. I will share on here as soon as I can after our stay so there is some recent reviews to go on too:)

ETA) just checked August since we will need a night in August too if all goes well. My date is there and the price is what I am paying now.

I checked my date y/day and Trinity showed 126 taxes in and the hotel was 129 + tax. Now my stay was for a Sunday night so dont' know if that made the diffrence:confused3

I'll keep checking. Thanks for letting me know.

That seems to be the weekend rate. Then at about 2 weeks out, my rate for the Friday night dropped to the 102.00 from the 126. So maybe if they haven't sold much they drop the price closer to the date?
