Jumping into a pre-trip!

Happy Sunday everyone :woohoo:

After a pretty horific training session yesterday morning, I'm aching this morning and feling muscles I didn't know I had... never mind. Got it to do all over again tomorrow morning at 6:30am for a personal training session. Mickey better appreciate this!!!

It now looks like I'll be booking the Epcot Segway Tour for the both of us, I showed it to the boy the other night and he seemed keen and after hearing some fab reviews here I figure I should just book it. I'll keep the actual date a surprise for him, this will be his birthday pressie.

I'm trying to work out how to get pics on here, once I manage I'll pop one up of me so you know who you are talking to :rotfl2:

Your plans sound great! Don't listen to non Disney-heads, you do all the planning you want to, if you enjoy it! But don't stress, leave some time to 'go with the flow'.

You'll arrive in WDW they day we leave to go home... :sad1:

Perhaps I should start a PTR too!

The pre trip is helping me keep track of what I've done and not done. It's really useful, you should start one!!

My plan for this week is to really think about a plan to tour the parks the first couple of days to make the most of the jet lag!!

Got some great news that I'm going to be receiving some money from my family so that will help me pay the holiday and leave me with a bit more spends in the park and less stress about affording everything.

Everything is coming together great by the sounds of it. MNSSHP is great and dressing up is fun and you get great photos. I'd save the money on upgrading unless there is a deal on as its pretty expensive.

"Arrive Sat night approx 6/7pm. Head to POR food court for dinner and take a boat to DTD for a relaxing night." - We did this on our first night in 2010 which was also a Saturday, we were at POFQ though and the queue for the boat was huge then DTD was also pretty busy, so that's just something to be wary of.

Thanks for tip Chilly :thumbsup2 it's wee snippets of info like this that will really help keep my stress levels down when I know what to expect!!!

My 180 day mark is approaching :banana::banana::banana: ( that called for 4 dancing narnars)

On the 26th of March I will be able to book things, yeeeharrrr.

In other news, I'm heading up north this weekend to visit my wee dad. Always nice visiting family, although it can be stressful as he lives on his own and has various carers throughout the day so can't really take him anywhere far away as he has to be home for his medication visits :confused3 but it will be nice to head up, get some country air and see pops.

DBF and I have decided in terms of eatingplans while in DW we are going to be flexi. As we are there during the food/wine festival we want to use a few snack and counter credits for a day eating around the world ( and drinking too OOP :rotfl2:). We have 3 days in the 2 weeks when we wont be in the parks so that will give us those days worth of credits to use.

The places that I will book for sure and pay OOP are:

Rainforest Cafe at AK
Narcoossee's
Teppan Edo

I have also started planning my Disney wardrobe ( more to follow in a later update) and I have arranged to stay with my grandmother the night before our flight, as its an early check in in Glasgow and we live in Edinburgh and cant be bothered with the drive over in the morning :yay:

Thats all for now folks, best get back to my bill paying work :cheer2:

:banana::banana::banana: I've just paid the trip!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

The bill with VH has been settled, and I've even bough some $$ so I'm not stressing at the last minute about spending money.

Now its down to deciding ADRS and getting them booked in 20 days time.

DBF has said he would like to do the Wishes Dessert Party :woohoo: so I'm over the moon about that, I had told him that it was his decision, but secretly I was dying to go!

Yay for DBF wanting to do the Dessert Party, you'll enjoy it. xx

it was lovely to read your PTR :goodvibes

Hey everyone!

I'm also stealing ideas from other peopls PTRs, so many people are so knowledgable and its lovely of them to share with everyone :worship:

Now I've discovered this section of the forum, this is my plan too!

Good luck with the rest of your trip planning :)

Loads to update everyone on!!

So as of last time the holiday was paid, dollars have been bought and everything was confirmed with Universal Studios for the tickets and early entry.

As of today...

Photopass is booked and paid for
I have booked a couple of ADRs ( Crystal Palace for Breakfast - mainly so we can get in for an empty main street, T rex because DBF will like it there and the SciFi Dine thingy because it looks pretty groovey).
Car hire is in the process of being booked.

I have also lost 2 ins from my waist since the start of the Disney Diet and I've dropped 4lbs in weight. I think the excited energy is helping though.

Still need to :

Decide if we are staying with my gran the night before the flight (she lives right beside the airport = free lodging and parking for 2 weeks!) or if we drive through early on the Sat am.

Buy a new camera

ESTA ourselves

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

And after that its just a waiting game.

K xx

Exciting stuff!:thumbsup2
Stay with Gran! That way you won't have to get up so early plus free parking = more Disney $$$$$ Well done on the weight loss.

Hey guys

Sorry for the hiatus! I'm back now...

Have decided to arrange secure parking for our trip, DBF just bought a brand new swanky car and he doesnt want to leave it anywhere alone for 2 weeks :rotfl:

This means that we dont have to stay with granny the night before, just have a slightly early start and head through to Glasgow to the parking place.

Also still waiting on the dates for the Halloween party, anyone know of any update? I thought they would have been released by now, but perhaps I'm just missing the update somewhere.

Still looking for costumes for the party, DBF is also still adament that he will NOT be dressing up. hahahahaha thats what he thinks.... :joker:

Speak soon

Kirst xx

I am so jealous I love MNSSHP!

I think they are on the same nights every year for e.g every tuesday
I will see if I can find it for you

September - Tuesdays and Fridays

October - Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Friday and what ever day halloween lands on

http://**************.net/2012/02/14/halloween-2012-at-walt-disney-world/

Also if the park hours are till 7pm it is because of MNSSHP

this was unofficial though!
xx

Sounds like you'll be having a great time over there :)

Hahaa I like how you'll be forcing your DBF to dress up! I will be following suit too :joker:
Got any ideas of what you guys are going as yet?

This has been a lovely read, thanks :)

Did you book the Segway tour? Our friend treated my husband and I to this for our 40th birthdays and it was brilliant :cool1: I'd recommend it to anyone.

I really want to dress up as a princess, I'm just that kinda person I guess :rotfl2: but there is no way DBF will be a prince charming, so I might have to persuade him with a sheet over his head with 2 eyes and he can be a ghostie!!!

Havent booked the segway tour yet, it's certainly something we are both thinking about. I've actually told him that I think its "too expensive" and we should "save the $ for something else", whilst planning to book it as a surprise

I'm starting to really get so excited about this, its been a really tough year personally for me ( dad has not been well at all and its starting to really fracture the family) and the thought of 14 days in WDW really perks me up. My Disney Diet has also been working, I'm down another 2lbs over the past couple of weeks, bringin my weight to around 10st 12lbs so only 12lbs to go then I'm at target :banana:

If I hit target i'm planning on wearing shorts during the holiday, something I've not done in over 20 years :scared1: and I might also treat myself to some lovely new clothes curtosy of the malls!!

xx

Another wee update. DBF has suggested a Fantasmic lunch package at Mama Melrose so that's all booked!!

:dance3:

Another update!

MNSSHP tickets purchased!!!!! Going onthe 28th of September, tickets were about $56 each, so thats another night of the agenda planned!

Woohooo :dance3:
