Alamo. If you are a Insiders member and check in at the kiosk, the kiosk will try to charge you $10 a day. Just skip it and continue to check in. WHen you get to the exit booth in the garage just ask them to add the spouse and it will be free. Just have your spouses drivers license ready to show the agent.

Oh the Insiders club is free and they offer better discounts and higher amt coupons to their Insiders members!!!!

NO, the additional person has to be there with you, with his/her license and credit card in that person's name.

Yes, you can add the driver at the check out booth, however, it does hold up the line and really annoys other renters who have waited a LONG time in line to do their rental and add the driver and whatever else. Consideration for others is the key here. Often the kiosk does NOT add a charge for the additional driver. I may state that there is a charge, but, if you look to the right with the other numbers, you will see it is a "zero" charge. I used to do lots and lots of these every day. If by some chance it does show up, the exit booth agent can remove the charge, much quicker than adding a driver.
Better way to do it, use the "save time" feature on the website and then do the kiosk, it will not add the extra fee.

She and I won't be at MCO at the same time...she gets in 3 hours later than me and is taking Disney's Magical Express to meet me at Port Orleans Riverside. Could we go together to the Car Care Center the next day and have her added then? Even though my rental is out of MCO?

So far, from what i've researched, Alamo does NOT charge for spouse to drive. Rules and info are sketchy. Sometimes CS on their phones say yes, one said No.

Did you check Alamo's website for the rule? It's not sketchy at all - it's very clear as to the rules:

Additional Driver Fee / Alamo

Is there always an additional driver daily fee? How much is it?

Any additional driver (including a spouse or domestic partner) will pay a daily fee of approximately $10 per day.

Fees are waived for additional drivers who are:

Members of Alamo Insiders Program; which allows for one additional driver to be added at no cost.
Corporate Contracts in the United States are allowed the following additional drivers at no charge:

· Commercial (corporate) rentals

· The renter's business partner

· Employer or fellow associate, who has a signed corporate contract with Alamo and drives the car for business purposes and who meet normal renter requirements.

All other additional authorized driver situations are subject to a daily charge.

An additional driver may only be added to the contract at a rental location and may be added or removed in the middle of the contract. When adding an additional driver in the middle of the contract both the renter and the additional driver must be present at the location.
The system will calculate the charges based on the dates the additional driver was listed on the rental.
