How long to go from airport to Poly with Magical express

Hi,
We are scheduled to arrive at Orlando airport at 8:04pm Thursday 5/24. Can anyone tell me what time range I should anticipate arriving at the Polynesian if we are on the Magical Express?

I'm trying to decide if I should make a dining reservation for a late dinner at the Poly's Ohana that night or not. Basically will we make it in time for a 9:35pm res?

You might be calling it close. It all depends on when the next bus leaves ME and where in the delivery order the Poly is.

90 minutes can be done if the stars line up, but I wouldn't bet on it.

and if there are no flight delays.

The general rule is you shouldn't make any ADRs with a cancellation penalty on your arrival day. Or at least give yourself a huge buffer like 5 hours.

OP I don't think you will make it and even if you do you may be very stressed out worrying if you are going to make it. Not a great start to a vacation.

Exactly, I wouldn't bet on it. Add in the fact that the Poly may not be the first stop for the ME bus and you have to be at the restaurant 15 min before your ADR time, not going to happen. You also have to checkin as well. I would just decide you can't do it and start your trip more relaxed.

Nope, way too close. If the flight arrives, ontime, at 8:04pm, you can figure on arriving at the Polynesian by 9:30...that's 'if' it arrives ontime. Not to mention that when most of us give you an average time of arrival, it's based on being at the gate already. If a plane lands at 8:04, you aren't going to be off the plane and leaving the gate area until closer to 8:30. I seldom land, taxi to the gate, and get off the plane in less than 15 mins.

I wouldn't book an ADR that night. Just go down to Captain Cooks and grab something quick.

Plus, OP would still have to check in and get into their room, unless they want to skip that and go straight to a dinner.

I agree, cutting it way too close.

I also think you'd be cutting it way too close to set up that reservation.

Also...JUST FYI...I don't know if Disney ever alters their ME routes (they very well may). When I went on 3/23, the order was: Poly, GF, WL, Contemporary. And I know that because I was staying at the Contemporary. The Poly people weren't on the bus very long, but that in no way guarantees that you would make your ADR. Plus, you have to think about your flight possibly being delayed, etc.

There are no pre-set groupings of resorts, and no pre-set order of drop-offs. It will vary even within a single day, let alone a week or month or year. When I stayed at Poly, the order was Poly-Grand Floridian-Contemporary. When I stayed at Contemporary, it was Port Orleans French Quarter-Contemporary-Poly. Just a tiny example of my point ....
