I think it was about 40 minutes from the airport. I honestly can't remember for sure. There is no Disney transportation. Most people rent a car because they want to explore Oahu while they are there. There are shuttles available to drop you off and pick you up if you prefer...and there are enough restaurants within walking distance to keep you happy.

Okay avid readers (most of whom do not comment!), I have an update on the Maui rental car fiasco...:scared:

We got a bill in the mail yesterday! :sad1:

DH called our CC company today to see if we have any coverage through them...we do :woohoo:...sort of.:headache:

We have to notify them within 45 days of the incident. Today is day 47.

But we didn't get the bill until yesterday (and weren't sure a bill was imminent before we received it. Denial!) :guilty:
We have to jump through a few hoops now, but we're still optimistic.

BTW, our CC has rental car accident coverage in every country except Jamaica and Isreal. What does that tell you? There is no way I'm ever driving there! :scared1:

Sorry I have been MIA! I am all caught up now though. Aulani is beautiful and I would love to visit one day.

Thanks for chiming in, you guys! I hope to get some more updates added tomorrow. Tick, tock, tick, tock. On top of trying to get ready for our next trip, I picked up the Hunger Games books and haven't been able to put them down! I read the first two and better not get the third one until we leave on our trip.

Okay...another day is updated. See post number 2 for the link as usual. Three more days to go!
Sometime in the future I'll do dining reviews too. But that will definately be after our next trip.
Maybe we'll blog on our trip next week too. I wish we were smart enough to add pictures as we go! :lmao: Anyone want to hear about Orlando (Old Key West resort, Legoland, DTD, Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas cruise, and Universal Studios?)

Just got back earlier this week from a quick trip to WDW to see Flower and Garden Festival.

Came to see if there were any updates and there are!! But I have to wait to read. Just wanted you to know I'm still following along!

Glad the CC is going to (hopefully) pay for the rental car damages!!

Thanks for the updates.

Thank you for the great trip report. You have a cute family! Love seeing all of the photos of Aulani and learning more about that resort for a future trip.

Hope you had a great time! Was it terribly busy? Tuesday we leave for Orlando and will stay at Old Key West. It will be difficult to stay on property and NOT go to the parks! We will have lots of other fun though!

Thank you very much! When are you going to Aulani?

Day 17 is up! One more real day of the trip and the travel home day left.

It's a struggle to get this done before we leave...but I'm determined. Today I did some major packing for our upcoming trip. DH did a couple of shopping trips to get things we've noticed we need as we pack. Still a lot left to do though. I can't believe how long it takes me to pack for the six of us. A cruise is the hardest kind of trip to pack for I think. We need casual clothes and dress clothes each day (x6!) Plus swimwear.

We have some Easter prep to do too. Of course, the bunny comes tonight. I made homemade cinnimon rolls to bring to a brunch tomorrow. I have to make a hot casserole in the morning too. I promised the kids that I would make banana pancakes for breakfast tomorrow. What was I thinking? I don't need sleep anyway! :rotfl:

Whew! Finished! (Also got the Easter baskets done! ) :dance3:

I will come back in a few weeks and add dining reviews with food pictures and all. I'll add that directly to this thread (not the blog) as that's really something for only you DISers. My family would just find it weird. :rolleyes1

I'll add some more resort pictures later too since I have so many.

We are thinking next year for Spring Break. Our daughter really wants to go to
Hawaii, and we need to do it soon before she is off to college! Time sure flies.

Finally home!
No one stopped by while I was away?
I've got to do a mini TR about our cruise on a cruise travel website, then I'll be back for those dining reviews.

I'm still here, been busy at home and with work so haven't been on dis in ages.

Hope you had a lovely trip and I would love to hear about it if you have time.

My eldest is rehearsing her dancing show so going to try to catch up whilst I have a few minutes.
